We've passed Week 9 in the Arab League and there have been changes in the standings, in the top 4 in particular. Ittihad got their second defeat in week 9 and that result cost them their place as at the same time Al Nassr got 1 point as they also got a draw. But that was enough to make Al Nassr shift the position occupied by Ittihad before, yes even though it was only different in goal productivity.
Apart from all that, I was a little surprised by what Al Nassr achieved this week because they could only draw against a club that was actually not strong and fairly weak.

In week 9 the competition gets tougher as you said some of the top teams took their place some go up and some go down and we have an underdog team, yeah Al-Taawoun is not one of those clubs that has star players but they managed to stay in the top 2 obviously this is a bit strange and as far as I know their main strength is in defense while no player stands out as the top scorer. Imagine if Al-Taawoun was actively hunting for top European players of course it can increase their goal activity because Al-Taawon goal activity is lower than other teams in the standings.
Yes, that's true, but it's worth remembering that the absence of European-labeled players doesn't mean they can't compete fiercely in the standings, and that's what Al Tawoon is doing. And also the presence of European labeled players does bring a breath of fresh air but it is not a guarantee that clubs that are inhabited by many European players they can show their best and are in very tight competition in the standings.
For me the presence of players they bring to the league is to increase popularity, and if they can bring the club to play better it is a bonus they get.

Al-Nassr has been impressive so far. I was quite surprised at the draw of Al-Nassr match against Abha last Friday. Abha is not a strong club and has performed poorly this season but they managed to equalize with a goal from Karl Toko Ekambi.
It's a shame that Al-Nassr couldn't win the match at home, even though Al Nassr was able to dominate the ball game well and with the 2 goals scored by Otavinho and Talisca, he was quite optimistic that Al-Nassr would win, but it turned out that Abha was able to equalize within minutes last minute and who would have thought that Al-Nassr would get a red card in this match and Cristiano Ronaldo could not score a goal for Al-Nassr. If only Cristiano Ronaldo could score a goals it is certain that Al-Nassr would succeed in winning the match by getting 3 points.
Yes as I said before, I was also quite surprised by what Al Nassr achieved against a club that is not a favorite club. But that's the beauty of football, sometimes something unexpected happens in a match.
Although this is a bit disappointing for Al Nassr, but this is precisely what makes the competition even more interesting, because unexpected things like this add a special attraction for football lovers. Thus, we will not be easy to predict every match.

Of course a player doesn't just consider money. How he will build up his career in the future is also an important issue. For which some have given priority to their future carrier without looking at money. However, those who joined the Saudi club have undoubtedly made no mistake. Especially for prominent players who are late in their careers, big money opportunities are naturally tempting. In the meantime, young footballers are also joining the Saudi league. Moreover, the league is now at the center of global discussion. Various European coaches have also predicted that Saudi Arabia will dominate football in the future, although some deny it. But the reality is that Saudi (SPL) is moving towards its goal.
Football is a profession that involves money so you  don't expect most of this players not to consider a good offer when they get one, more apart from the passion for the game, they're working hard to play well and earn a better salary and you're right @Gigabit,  they also have to consider their future after football as well and that's why most of them go for bigger salary offers to save up for the families and businesses.

Maybe some of the younger ones could resist the offers and chase titles and awards to add to their achievements, but people shouldn't expect older players especially those that's been successful or played for a successful team and has many titles and trophies to their name to turn down huge offers and chase titles they've already got ik their very youthful days, well I don't think Saudi league dominating football would be very soon but it may definitely happen.

Yes, it's all because of money but not everything and we also don't know the truth because all we know at the moment is that European players Neymar, Ronaldo etc. they moved to Saudi Arabia when they were old and also the offer from Saudi Arabia was very big so the players who wanting to spend his career before retiring in Saudi Arabia is probably the best choice because one side of the Saudi pro league is almost part of the biggest league and there is nothing wrong with European players who want to join in Saudi Arabia to spend the rest of their career and get a bigger salary and There is a possibility that more European players will go to Saudi Arabian clubs.

I agree with you. Spending his career in Saudi Arabia and earning almost the same salary as young European players today, it really was the best choice. It's not all about money. But if you can earn more money at the end of a footballer's life, why not. I think this is a very realistic thing. I also really enjoy the SPL since many European players play there.
I think the huge amount of money Saudi Arabian clubs are spending to sign European based players is beneficial to both the players and the Saudi League and that's why they're doing it regardless of the criticisms they're getting from some quarters.
Most of the European based players that has been signed to Saudi League so far are in their 30s and wouldn't get the same amount of financial packages they're getting in Saudi clubs if they had continued to play in Europe. Also the players have already made names for themselves as far as football is concerned so their presence in the Saudi League is giving the league more of global recognition and audience.

Al Ahli vs Ittihad was very tense and it turned out that Al Ahli could have scored 1 goal if I wasn't mistaken in the 31st minute and of course with a 1-0 result this would make Al Ahli even more enthusiastic but I saw where Ittihad also had the opportunity to almost score a goal in last minute of the match but unfortunately failed. Yes, in this match the performance of Al ahli good.
Ittihad FC tried to put pressure on their opponents and did not give Al Ahli many opportunities to control the ball, but the visiting team managed to maximize one golden opportunity to become a goal and became the only goal scored in the match and Al Ahli's victory again raised the tension of the competition for the championship title in particular for four clubs with the same owner and another one is Al Taawoun which is still quite consistent this season.
Ittihad FC will face another difficult match in Week 10 of the Saudi Pro League against Al Taawoun. This will not be an easy match for both teams to win and it is very possible that this will end in a draw and a draw result will be profitable for Al Hilal so that they will be stronger at the top of the standings.

This draw was not what we expected. But I still like the game shown by Al-Nassr in this match.
For example, the first goal was scored in the 3rd minute. I think at that time the Al-Nassr front players really did it easily. And Cristiano Ronaldo made a pass with very classy skill to M. Brozović and then M. Brozović gave a pass calmly to Otávio and Otavio used it well so it became a goal.
And I think the Al-Nassr players have a really good bond. They are not selfish.

But Abha was really lucky in this match. And their luck was also obtained because they worked hard without giving up until the last second of the match. So they were able to equalize in the final minute.

The first thing that is of interest is the salary offer with very large amount even far from the average offer from European teams so it is natural that many players are interested in playing for the Saudi team one of which is Neymar with Al Hilal.
But it is very likely that there is also another goal as you have stated namely to make the SPL part of the world biggest league.
Yes, of course the way Saudi Arabia is spending on football that is not ordinary investment. They are trying to introduce something new to the world around football. In particular, they have taken such an initiative to make their league known as one of the biggest leagues in the entire world. I don't think it would have been possible without spending more money. Famous players from Europe are now more interested in playing in the Saudi league. If Saudis include good players in their league then the league will become one of the dominated leagues. Though everything is not possible with money. They could not add Messi in the team by offering huge money and many others did not agree even after receiving offers. But one thing must always be said that getting Ronaldo in the Saudi league was a big achievement for which the league has easily caught everyone's attention.
next season there will probably be far more European players coming to Saudi. there is a big mission to build Saudi football. and they really invested big. just like Ronaldo, who was not only brought in to play at Al Nassr. but he got other conditions from the Saudi government.
I think bringing in Ronaldo has been quite successful in getting the attention of the world public. and next season there may be even more surprises in the SPL.

Al-Ahli performed extraordinary in yesterday's match, he managed to win the match with a narrow score against hosts Ittihad, yesterday's match was fierce even though Ittihad completely dominated possession of the ball but Ittihad was unable to equalize until the match ended. It's a shame that Ittihad didn't manage to get full points to occupy first place, now Ittihad has been shifted to 4th place in the standings, the match in the Saudi Pro League is getting more interesting. Al-Ahli managed to get full points in the match against Ittihad. Currently, Al-Ahli has the same points as Ittihad of course Al-Ahli will continue to fight hard and become more confident to face stronger clubs in future matches.

Al-Ahli's next match will host Al-Wahda. I am sure Al-Ahli will win the match because currently Al-Ahli is in its best performance after beating Ittihad.

Although he has suffered many injuries throughout his career, expectations are still high in terms of performance. I think we shouldn't have such high expectations, after all, every injury weakens the player a little more. Neymar earns good money in Saudi Arabia and could retire there.

this is all because Neymar ambitions are still very high and on the one hand he still feels that he is still strong enough to compete even though he has a problem with his legs but he always wants to perform as strong as the talent he has so far he can still perform very well even in national matches. Neymar is able to defend his country with the reliability he has.
and I admit that it not just money that he wants but he also wants to continue his career in SPL to help increase popularity of big names in the SPL to become part of the biggest league in the world and it seems like joining team in the SPL like a challenge that he will face to improve his career.
As football is a player's profession, we cannot say it is wrong if he tries to earn money from football. No matter where a player plays, he has to show good football skills and then try to earn money. Seeing that Neymar went to Saudi Arabia, we are wrong to think that he is greedy for money, if his performance was bad, Al Hilal would never have taken him to the team with such a large amount of money. Whether Neymar is in Saudi Arabia or in Europe, he will try his best to help the team win. Not only Neymar but all footballers who play for a club have a responsibility to show maximum performance for the club. As a Neymar fan, that is what I hope for Neymar to perform at his best wherever he is.

I am looking forward to those matches as well as it will promise some higher quality when the better teams are head to head, but who would have thought that they are also missing out on getting the full three points against opponents that are so much weaker? Like now when Al-Nassr could not win their game at home, that should not be the case as everyone was available and both Ronaldo and Mane are in good shape and yet they were not able to score a decider for their team.

But still the games when Neymar meets Ronaldo and also the Benzema team are of course more exciting when those former rivals meet again. I wonder whether they take it fully serious.
Saudi Pro League have grown to become competition for these European players, that's the exact action we all expects from these mediocre teams. Al Nassr draw against Abha was not appropriate because the Knights of Najd relaxed, having in mind about grabbing three points, reluctant and the visitors came from behind to draw them, one of the dissapointing game for Al Nassr with no zero display from Cristiano Ronaldo, who was incredible in the game. Perhaps not only Cristiano Ronaldo had poor stats, also Neymar Jr is struggle to fit in, no one is talking about him because he's an experienced player and a big name in European football, however this is SPL and its totally different.

The jury is still out whether the clubs from the Saudi Professional League can really become serious competition long term for European clubs and the negotiations with players. I think so far a player who wants to have a great career would still make his first step to a club from Europe. Unless the SPL clubs don't begin raising salaries further for very young players as well, there is no real threat to European football.

Maybe it doesn't really matter how these players like Ronaldo, Neymar and Benzema play, but more importantly they make the league sound more attractive due to their names being the best advertisement the league can get. I think this is the main goal of signing them.

Indirectly, the Saudi Pro League has become a mini competition for the current top European players. The massive expansion with several top European players joining the Saudi Pro League teams means that the balance or composition of players from Europe is increasingly competing at Saudi Arabian clubs.
All top Europe player have well performance with Saudi Pro League teams this season, they can adapt well with weather, game plan and all technical needed although drastically difference weather or condition between Saudi Arabia and with his teams before. Interested waiting upcoming window transfer opening have surprise sign by Saudi Pro League team and will get many top Europe player again.

Al Hilal has always been a great team in Saudi Arabia and they are the best team in history for Asian teams because of the achievement they got so far.
Also, this team spent too much money on players and they have many famous players on their teams.
The fact about this team is they have 18 players playing for their country's national teams.

Al Hilal, is a team that has always been a candidate or could be said to dominate the competition for more than a decade. Before Al Ittihad won the title in the 2022/2023 season, Al Hilal had won this competition 3 times in a row. Al Hilal seems to have a long history, especially in terms of titles in the last decade. Even before this club was acquired by PIF, I thought Al Hilal was a rich club. we can see the players they brought in before being acquired by the PIF company.

So, it would be very natural for them to have high prestige, especially in purchasing top European players. Al Hilal, doesn't want to be outdone by Al Nassr who brought in Ronaldo. Previously, they had tried to bring in Messi, even more than his rival's salary.  unfortunately, Messi refused. It didn't stop there, several big name young star players tried to offer proposals. in the end, it was Neymar who they managed to bring in.
Now, Al Hilal is back in the competition for the Saudi Pro League trophy. Last season, they had several obstacles plus close schedules which ultimately greatly drained the fitness of their players. This season, the probability of Al Hilal winning the League again is very high. Now, they are at the top of the standings.

Regardless of the financial packages that comes with the Saudi Arabia League, it's currently one of the best leagues in the world at the moment as the quality of the league has significantly improved since they started signing European based players. So if a player of Neymar Jnr's status decides to play for a Saudi club, it doesn't mean that his decision is mainly affected by money.
Al Hilal is one of the best clubs in the Saudi Pro League and hopefully Neymar is gonna help them win more trophies in his time at the club.
