Al-Ettifaq vs Al Fateh in the Saudi Professional League match today, Al Fateh scored 2 goals to win the match. Al-Ettifaq team performed well in the first half but Al-Ettifaq performed very poorly at the end of the game. I thought in this match Al-Ettifaq  -Ettifaq team will win. But Al-Ettifaq lost this match by 2 goals due to bad performance of team. I placed a bet in support of Al-Ettifaq team in this match. I didn't win the bet today.

Not all prominent players would keen on moving to SPL probably not because of the money but for significant trophies and awards to win. Saudi Arabia has everything it takes to improve their league to European standards, but they are missing a single factor: the requisite competitive players who will devote their complete focus to the league. European football is established all around the world, however the Saudi Pro League is only recently gaining popularity. It was with the assistance of Cristiano Ronaldo that SPL was positively influenced, without any tension.
Even though the Saudi league offers a lot of money and is an opportunity for players to gain financially but it's an inferior league and not all players would be willing to move over their, especially youngsters that are yet to have a better career in the European major competitions that's more popular and competitive than the SPL.

However thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo's influence that's helped the league in gaining popularity and due to his arrival alot of other European players have been convinced to move over there and it's made it a bit better and more competitive than it's used to be, the Saudi league might not be compared to the European leagues but they're trying to get there with the help of their financial stability.

This might also change in the near future if the Saudi Professional League clubs are willing to pay salaries that no young player in the world can resist. But it may become prohibitively expensive even for the Saudi club.

What it definitely does is it raises the basic level for salaries everywhere. European clubs can't "just" pay 10 million if a Saudi club is willing to pay 100 million per year.

This is one of my biggest concerns. That they get an inflation spiral for salaries going and European clubs can't and shouldn't really afford those salaries. Maybe it is part of Saudi Arabias strategy.

And the Saudi club is trying, by all means, to go for European players looking at the potential they come with they are always ready to spend good money on players, they are very strategic they always come with offers they can not reject, and that is how they get Ronaldo and Benzema to their side, and spending 25 million on 35-year-old and not just any kind of 35 year old but with name is just a strategy for them to give more meaning to their club and as far as am concerned is pretty working out for them, some 25 year old actually worth that amount look at Mbappe getting such player mean they have to spend more because he has the name and his young and a talented player, it is going to be drag for that kind of player.

There are some younger players who came from Europe and could have played in Europe as well, we should keep remembering that. Not that they are not playing all that badly, so those younger ones will make the difference. You may not get someone who is like a Ronaldo or a Benzema etc etc, but they got some players who are young and doing fine, a 25 year old with 25 million euro value and 35 year old with 25 million euro means different things.

A 35 year old with 25 million euro means that he has a name, not because he plays well but because he has a name, but a 25 year old with 25 million means that he worths that much for what he does on the field and that matters. So whichever team gets most of those type of players will end up with the best results.

Younger players like Kylian Mbappé and Erling Håland believe that moving to the Saudi Professional League can have a negative impact on their future prospects. So it is mostly experienced players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Neymar who have moved to SPL till now. But that may change in the future. If the Saudi Professional League becomes one of the most popular leagues in the world, and if the matches are watched by global audience, then the younger players maybe more receptive towards offers from the SPL.
Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland give European football renewed optimism of replacing great players such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi. Moving to the Saudi Pro League will have a detrimental impact on their football careers because they will be omitted from lists of vast honors such as the Ballon d'Or and winning a significant European title. Though SPL has adequate monetary revenue to provide value for their campaign, it's not all about the huge reimbursement offered; fans and reputation should also be considered. Players who moved to the SPL are more seasoned and experienced players who would earn an extensive amount of money in their last years before retiring.

Mbappé is just 24-years old, while Håland is 23. So it is quite understandable if they give preference to career growth instead of monetary reward at this point. That said, there is no guarantee that this dominance of European leagues will continue in the long term. Leagues outside Europe (not just Saudi Professional League, but also other leagues such as Major League Soccer as well) are offering better working conditions and benefits and in the long run it is going to be difficult for these European leagues to retain their players.

My pick for this week obviously

Al nassr
Al Ittihad
Al hilal.
That is the right bet for Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal, but I am quite doubtful about the outcome of the Al-Ittihad vs Al-Ahli match, I feel Al-Ahli can still surprise the final result. Al-Ittihad's only advantage is that they play as hosts, but the quality of squad depth between the two is quite equal. In fact, I think Al-Ahli has a slight squad advantage over Al-Ittihad. Maybe I won't bet on Al-Ittihad and it's better to take the BTTS betting option or over goals because there will definitely be a lot of goals scored in this match later. At least 3 goals are definitely there in my opinion.

On paper, Al Nasr and Al Hilal have a big chance of winning the match. especially, if we refer to the available odds.  It's just that, if you want to bet, especially with limited funds. Is it ideal to bet on the 1x2 option, so the more suitable options are handicap or Under/Over.

Well, what's interesting is the Al Ittihad vs Al-Ahli match. IMO, this match will present quite a tough match between these two teams. Plus, it looks like the home team still won't play Karim Benzema. For this one, I really had difficulty finding the information.  Talking about the meeting between these two teams, of the 4 matches the two teams met, Al-Ahli was unable to overthrow Al Ittihad. Al Ittihad won 3 of the 4 matches and one match ended in a draw.

At this meeting, there was something different about these two teams. Now, they both have some of Europe's top players. For me, what makes Al Ittihad superior is because they play at home. playing in front of his supporters, provides a big influence and strong motivation to win this battle. It's just that, for some reason, in this match I felt that Firmino would score another goal. However, whether Al-Ahli will win this match. or, the match will end in a draw. If I had to choose and bet on this match, I would choose Al-Ahli. Apart from the fact that they also have top European players, my feeling is that Al-Ahli will be able to overthrow the home team. Either this is a bad feeling, or a good feeling. Also remember, Al-Ahli's odds are quite tempting at @3.30. This match will be held tomorrow, so let's just wait.
Betting on Al-Ahli is indeed tempting, especially with odds of more than 3 and indirectly we make 3x the money. I also thought about betting on Al-Ahli winning but I was quite doubtful whether the result would be the same as I predicted or not considering that each team equally needed points in this match. Firmino has not scored a goal for Al-Ahli for quite a long time and it is possible that this time he will contribute again through the goals he scored. So yes, if you are confident in betting on Al-Ahli I will support it, but I am still looking for a safe bet with the options I have mentioned before.

Al Ettifaq really failed in today's match against Al Fateh because they were beaten at home. Gerrad again failed to score points in this match because Al Ettifaq was defeated in the final minutes of the match through Djaniny's goal. This failure meant that Al Ettifaq failed to break into the top 4 this week because they were still stuck in 6th place in the standings. In fact, there is a big possibility that Al Ettifaq's ranking will be shifted again by Al Ahli if Al Ahli is able to get 3 points in tomorrow's match.

This was not a good result for a team that had also spent quite a lot of money to buy several players from leagues in Europe, from two matches they could only get 1 point, so it could be said that Ettifaq was no longer a champion contender.
Ettifaq controlled the match, but Al Fateh was able to play more effectively and the two good opportunities they had were maximized so that became goals and the final goal in injury time meant that the home team had to accept this quite painful defeat.
It seems like Steven Gerrard hasn't found a way to make his team consistent. If he fails to get good results this season, maybe his contract will end quickly and being a coach in the Scottish league seems more suitable for him who has achieved success there.

Tomorrow's match will have lots of interesting matches to watch, one of which is Al Ittihad vs Al Ahli because these two teams are big teams in the Saudi Arabian league. We will see Benzema vs Firmino in this match, can they bring luck to their respective teams. I believe Al Ittihad is very superior in this match because they are playing at home and also have an impressive record in their last 5 matches.
Both of them were not very good in their first season in this league Benzema and Firmino, both only scored 3 goals in the matches they played, but Ittihad is luckier because there is Hamdallah who is quite sharp as a striker in the team and so far he is more productive than Benzema. My prediction is that this will be a victory for Ittihad and they will take over the top position in the standings from Al Taawoun.

Yes, the issue of age will reduce the performance of players. This is entirely correct. But in this tournament, with their current form, they are finally outperforming the young players. They are completely superior to young players. Because this tournament is not highly competitive, their talent and experience can beat the health of unknown young players in Saudi Arabia. If the scenario is that Haaland, Mbappé, or Osimhen come to this tournament, I agree that the team with many young players will have good results.
Let's take a typical example: Older players are always on the list of top scorers in this tournament.

Yeah that's why the level of European players is different from other players I mean European players always have better quality even though they are old players
The impact of competition is so high and tight in the European League makes the players more active and aggressive so that when playing in new competitions like in Asia they can still compete with old age, as you said 4 players on the top score list are old players or European players but fortunately there are still other local players.

The main reason for that is the decades old ever improving infrastructure for raising talents in Europe and there is also the most competitive environment. But isn't it interesting that so many South American talents make it without such an outstanding infrastructure like that in Europe? It is quite common that talent is acquired from there and usually it doesn't take them long to be highly competitive in the best European leagues. It is often said that football is the number one sport in Saudi Arabia, but I think it is still different from South America regarding the intensity of how people feel, perceive and play the sport or even dream about it. This could be a prejudice, but there must be a reason why there aren't any players from Saudi Arabia playing for some of the best clubs in Europe. Does anyone know more about that? Are there currently any strong players from Saudi Arabia in Europe?

There will some matches to come soon. Al ittihad will be facing al ahli which is becoming the most attractive match for this week. Al naasr and al hilal will be facing some weak teams.
It's unlikely al ittihad will be able to win the game against al ahli easily.

My pick for this week obviously

Al nassr
Al Ittihad
Al hilal.

Al Ittihad's game against Al Ahli is a game with almost equal odds, there is no big favorite in this game, the performance of the two teams in the last 5 games shows they are very similar, Al Ahli in last 5 games they won in just 2 games, lost in 2 games and had 1 draw, coming from 2 consecutive games without winning, and it is true that they did well in the game against al - nassr to the point of having managed to score 3 goals in a game in which they could have achieved a draw, but their last league game ended in a goalless draw, it was a game against a team that, despite having good results, is not a candidate for the title

while in the last 5 games they had only 1 defeat, won 3 games and drew 1 game, and in their last game they had a draw, this being against an opponent who had bad form, this is a bad season for the current champion, the fact that the other teams have managed to make big and good signings, is causing the current champion to have to face many strong opponents, I see that they will not be able to be champions this season. For this game I see that Al Ittihad's victory or draw could be an option that I would consider if I were to bet on this game, but it would have to have good odds. This is the type of game that ends in a draw, both teams are in crisis, but they do well in certain games and then do poorly in other games.

Ittihad and nassr were always become the main rivals for al hilal. I can hope that if al hilal will keep the current position till the end of season. The club needs also to make sure its opponent will not be lucky enough to win the game and al hilal can take such opportunity to climbing up.

From some of the matches you mentioned it seems like you should be little more careful when placing bet on Al-Ittihad match because against Al-Ahli, they are not weak club and if you choose to bet Al-Ittihad you will run the risk of draw because after all Al-Ahli has very strong defense strong and in upcoming match it is better to choose another option such as both club scoring it would be better because both clubs will score at least 1 goal each.
For Al-Nasr and Al Hilal your choice is right but you will only get very small odds and for me you have to look for other alternative options to get slightly higher odds.
It looks like the match between the top clubs will change position in points table and I am worried that Al-Ittihad will be replaced by Al-Nasr or Al Taawon who are facing weak club.

Betting on Saudi Leageu is not the same with other leagues I know, because usually whenever we see a team like Al Nassr, Al Ittihad, or Al Hilal face other teams the rates for these teams are very low and maybe that's a safe move to bet on these strong teams because the better situations they have but if you check the rates you can see sometimes other teams got very high rates and this can be very tempting to put the money and take more risk and bet other the opponent of these strong teams however its' not safe at all.

Al-ittihad are one of the strongest teams this season in the SPL and their performance has been so brilliant that's why they're currently in the 2nd place in the table with about 19 points, 3 points above Al-Ahli,  however in the match between both teams, Al-ittihad are favourites to win the game cause they're performing better and are playing with a home advantage and according to their head to head games Al-ittihad have been more dominant and has won more matches in their past 5 games and now they got more European players especially Kareem Benzema and Ngolo kante in their team, they stand a better chance to win the game.

Al-ittihad need to win the game else they'll drop points and give other teams opportunities to top them, therefore they need to be careful and not underestimate their opponent,  even though they're favorites to win the game.

Gerrard doesn't really good to be used as an appointment for the club. His team was failed in getting full points again. This is a shame for him as european coach. I don't know what was thinking by the owner of ettifaq but putting gerrard in as a new coach was obviously blunder for the club.
Ettifaq performed so badly this season. The came of gerrard didn't give change to the result from the club. It keeps showing horrible performances. Idk how long ettifaq will be trapped in this kind of situation.
Im probably thinking that if it's the time for ettifaq to hire a new coach. The current coach was not even suitable for the club. Gerrard has the same problem like gattuso. These guys were good in playing football but they are so bad in coaching the team.
I hope ettifaq will able to find a new coach as soon as possible. It's caused by the team was also gambling its reputation if it keeps suffer another lose. ettifaq shall sack gerrard from there.

When it comes to individual performances, age sometimes doesn't determine how good and effective a player can be and that's why we have young players of 25 years ago are not effective as veteran players of 35 and above.
For instance, Cristiano Ronaldo is 38 years of age but he has scored more goals than any other player in the Saudi Arabian League this season. Age without doubt is a big factor to consider when signing a player but is doesn't guarantee a player's performance rate.

If a player is over 35 years of age, that player cannot be prioritized as a long-term player in a team because the age factor will make them easily lose their energy. Even so, top European players have quite strong physiques like Cristiano Ronaldo because he plays in tough competitions such as EPL, LALIGA and Serie A. So when he comes to the Saudi Arabian League he doesn't find any obstacles to his energy because this league is easier compared to other league they've played before. I think Ronaldo is getting older and maybe he will be able to play until he is 40 years old before he decides to retire.

Yes, recruiting players aged 25 or 20 years and over will be very beneficial for a team because they can prioritize them for the long term. But for top European players who are young, they definitely prefer to stay in Europe because they want to win titles in the highest competitions such as the Champions League and the European League. So this will make it difficult for Saudi Arabian league teams to convince young European players to join them.

We will see Benzema vs Firmino in this match, can they bring luck to their respective teams. I believe Al Ittihad is very superior in this match because they are playing at home and also have an impressive record in their last 5 matches.
