Saudi Arabia invested too much in this season in teams like Al Nassr and Al Hial to buy superstar players like Neymar and Ronaldo. Obvouisuly after hiring all these players they want to see their team win the Asian Champions League because all other Asian teams had much lower investments than these Saudi teams and I think if it doesn't happen and they fail to win the title there is the chance for these teams to change players or coaches.

After all the SPL teams have finished their 8th match of the season and it can be seen which team is the most consistent in maintaining their form this season. For Al Hilal, they are one of the teams that have never experienced defeat, which makes them sit comfortably in 1st place in the standings. Al Hilal's defense is quite strong and they have many top European players in their squad this season. However, looking at the condition of the teams ranked in the top 4 of the Saudi Arabian league, it seems that there is not a big enough difference in their points tally, I mean if a match every week can change their ranking in the standings table.

Al Nassr also performed quite well, they were able to win many matches after a not very good start to the season. Al Ittihad will face Al Ahli in this week's match. I think this match will be quite a big match in the SPL because it brings together two teams that have many top European players in their squad. Maybe I will support Al Ittihad to win this match. Al Naasr will also face Abha in tomorrow's match. Maybe this is an easy match for Al Nassr and I think they will be able to win this match easily.

Saudi Pro League grown popular this season, with further signing of European players, all eyes on the league. It is important for most players to shine in their first season, whereas some European players finding it extremely difficult to have their best peak in their new League they found themselves, while some have already rowing really smooth with the new system. Talking about Cristiano Ronaldo, we never noticed any scenario were the Portugal international have difficulty, he keep elevating his team to next level, his presence have also bring the very best from his teammates and upgrade of Al Nassr pattern of game.

Al-Hilal didn't lose any match yet and they are trying their best to keep the first spot for them. Their 2 draws made the others close to them. Al-Ittihad and Al-Nassr are heavy contenders for the title also but I am impressed with Al-Taawoun and Al-Ettifaq resistance so far among the top teams.

But is also shows that the Saudi Professional League is so much easier to play for these superstars because I doubt that Mane and Ronaldo would have the same goal count and assist count in the Premier League or another European top league. Of course it is their job to score in their position, but the frequency would incredible in any European league. I don't think it is as impressive in this league though. Basically, all the top European forwards who play for teams in the Saudi Pro League now at least have a very high goal productivity. So yes, I think it's not just about Ronaldo and Talisca and with that, then of course they have quite an interesting and difficult competition right now. So, although Al Nassr has a chance to win the Saudi Pro League title this season, it will certainly never be easy for Al Nassr to get it because other competing teams also have good quality players. But yes, because Al Nassr really managed to get a winning streak at this moment, then at least these results can be proof that Al Nassr is very ambitious to get the title this season with the famous players it has.

For now, clubs that have star players from europe will definitely compete closely and will always competitive to fight for title in Saudi Pro League this season and the candidates who deserve to get the title are not only Al-Nasr but Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad as well worthy of being candidate to hold an SPL degree.
I know that this season will be very big season for the top club to continue to compete for best places and for club that are currently below the top 10 in points table, they will only be club to get point for the big clubs, as if weak club will only be the material to get them victory for a big club like Al-Nasr.
Ronaldo has still been very good in last few match and I would like to see stronger performance in each match to continue adding point to make points gap little further.

In the previous match, Al Ittihad drew against Al Fayha with a score of 0-0, as well as Al-Ahli who also drew against Al Ettifaq and it seems that both teams are having problems with their strikers. In several Al Ittihad matches, it seems that Benzema was absent several times and I didn't get any important information regarding Benzema, it is very likely that he was injured.
As for Al-Ahli, their star Firmino is having problems scoring goals for his squad. Throughout his matches with Al-Ahli, he was only able to score a hat-trick on his debut.

However, Al Hilal has won the domestic league title a remarkable 18 times. The club has recently signed Neymar. So, what I mean is, the stage is set for an epic battle between Al Nassr, Al-Ettihad, and the towering 18-time Saudi Pro League winners, Al-Hilal.

Al Nassr opportunity is very open to win a trophy at the end of the season, they just need consistency throughout the match and get full points. Ronaldo plays quite an important role at the club, his presence improves the overall mentality of the players. Even though Al Nassr started the season a little unstable, now Al Nassr is back on track, with 6 wins in 8 matches. Together with Saido Mane, Ronaldo is expected to bring good luck to Al Nassr.

Al Hilal is the strongest and unbeaten club to date, and is at the top of the SPL standings. Al Ittihad and Al Tawoon occupy second and third positions in the standings, followed by AL Nassr in fourth position. I see that the competition in the SPL standings is getting tighter and more competitive, Al Nassr must fight harder to remain consistent so that they can climb to the top of the standings. And the top scorer table is currently led by Ronaldo with 10 goals, he is still very sharp in front of the opponent's goal.

Both teams are at same level but in last four matches we have big decline in Al Ahli performance which is big setback for their race of top ranks and Al Ittihad is surely defending champions, but they also have last match with goalless draw which bring them to second spot, and they want to fight back after this result which is possible because they also have good attack and their defence is also one of the best in this league which is good advantage for them.

Al Ahli which is also former champion but now in this season they promoted, but they spend huge amount for having quality players just because of this now things are looking impressive, but they need some more work for having better results which is possible, but it takes time.

I am very confident that Al Nassr will take the Saudi Pro League trophy back home because the team is very promising now. Like I have mentioned earlier, the club needs a stronger goalkeeper. It will be of more advantage to the club. Having Sadio Mane and Cristiano Ronaldo combined in a club like this was a great decision.

Ettihad also have Karim Benzema and N'golo Kante and the club is also doing awesomely as far as this season is concerned. My evaluation for now is based on these top rated players. They are strikers that are promising and have elevated the league as a whole. Meanwhile, I want to follow the challenges to the end of this season. I am already predicting Al-Nassr and Ettihad at the finals.

Agree, because they are having the weakest defence in top six teams with already concede 13 goals from 8 games with their attack is also not supporting them as they needed at this time with 16 goals from them in 8 games with relatively all other top clubs are having good attack which is helping them for having better performance even I also agreed about their new signing in coming Winter transfer window, but they need to have changed into their strategy as well because right now they are playing openly which is not suitable for them even having few top rank defenders and goalkeeper as well.

Current season is surely first with having too many good players and most chances things will be improved in coming days because now few teams are doing impressive and for the better competition all needed to be at the same level which make things more entertaining for the fans and title race.

Cristiano Ronaldo's goal on Monday was his first the Asian Champions League while Talisca scored two goals to help Al Nassr beat Istiklol and that's why I think both players are very important to the team. The truth is that no player can authoritatively say he's the sole reason behind the club's current impressive performance.
Al Nassr is club that's made up of football stars and will always do better as a team than when the players wants to show their individual brilliance.

It’s quite interesting that Al Hilal is rated almost twice as good as Al Nasr, although in my opinion these clubs are not very different in strength and the arrival of Neymar rather weakened Al Hilal. Currently the bookmaker's quotes are as follows:

Maybe they reflect the tournament position of the teams, but I think that in just a couple of rounds everything can change radically.

Al Nassr having been achieving their first target as they sign Cristiano Ronaldo for this club and bring in this league with now their second target is winning the Saudi League and also having AFC Champions League title which is also looking good until now because after losing two early matches now they have good record with 9 matches winning streak and right now with their performance and quality look like things could be good for them to have these titles in this season.

Ronaldo is having company of Sadio Mané and Talisca which are giving their best and currently after having 24 goals from 8 matches things are clearly indicating what is their target for this season and how they will be in coming days as well. From these 24 goals we have 20 from their three main players which is amazing stuff and if they have no injury then surely things could be at different level until end of this season for the Saudi League and Al Nassr club.

All clubs in the SPL will have the same ambition, namely to win a trophy at the end of the season, the top five standings are very competitive at the moment. Week 9 will happen soon, the standings are likely to change again significantly, I think. The match between Al Ittihad and Al Ahli will be an interesting one to look forward to, Al Nassr will have a slightly easier opponent, Abha Club.

If Al Ahli draws with Al Ittihad, then Al Nassr will move up one level but with the condition that they must succeed in getting points by beating Abha Club. For Al Hilal, who currently leads the standings, I think they will remain at the top because the chance of winning over Al Akhdoud is quite big.

Al Nassr is performing better and always shows very good progress so that it is able to catch up and only has few points difference with first place occupied by Al Hilal and second or third place occupied by Al-Ittihad and Al-Taawon.
From what Al Nassr has achieved they have a big chance of becoming champions this season and can make the squad the strongest for the Saudi Pro League.

Actually if you say it easy it not quite right because Ronaldo and his friends try very hard and always maximize their performance to be able to win every match and catch up with the team at the top of the standings.

As time went by some Al Nassr players were really showed the world that for this season big changes had occurred, changes that made Al Nassr difficult team to beat.
I believe Al Nassr can take advantage of the opportunity and can become the team that occupies first and place to win the trophy this season.

It is true that Al Nasr's front players, namely Ronaldo, Talisca and Sadio Mane, are excellent goal scorers. Because of this, it has been proven in the last eight Saudi Arabian League matches that these three players always contributed goals in almost every match. However, in my personal opinion, Al Nasr cannot be said to be a great team if it cannot beat strong teams such as Al Ittihad, Al Etifaq and Al Taawon. The reason is that in the last matches played by the Al Nasr team, they only played against teams whose level was below them or could be said to be weaker. So in my personal opinion, to measure Al Nasr's true abilities, I think we have to wait until the match against another strong team occurs.

And indeed, if you look at the difference in points, Al Nasr is currently not far apart from group leader Al Hilal. So Al Nasr does have great potential to top the standings. However, with the condition, Al Nasr must be able to beat a strong team first. Maybe that's quite a challenge for Al Nasr. Because if you look at other strong teams besides Al Nasr such as Al Hilal, Al Ittihad, Al Taawon and Al Etifaq. I think these teams have almost the same quality. So, to determine which team is stronger, the answer is that we have to wait for the upcoming match between the five teams.

I have also thought about something else because when there is a weaker team that plays against Al-Nasr, wouldn't it be more motivating when there is someone like Ronaldo on the pitch? I can imagine that players put even more effort into beating Al-Nasr because it has this extra bit of global attention and every player of the opponent knows it. They know that a part of the world will watch that game. Of course it is still an advantage to have Ronaldo on the team, but this is just a consideration that came to my mind. I think if I was a player and I would be playing against Ronaldo, it would definitely motivate me some extra.
