Seriously, when Ronaldo went to the Saudi Pro League, I was thinking it was one of the worst mistakes he will make because the league is not known by people, and if he can spend like 1 year in the Saudi Pro League, his name is not going to be heard again because nobody watches the league, and it’s not even competitive like the European League. I was just surprised that Ronaldo drew people’s attention to the league, and the league has also spent a significant amount of money on players, which is very nice, and Ronaldo’s performance is better in Al Nassr compared to when he was in Manchester United.

Ronaldo's performance dropped in Manchester United, I don’t really know the cause, but I was just thinking it might be due to his age because Ronaldo wasted lots of opportunities when he was in Manchester United. I also blamed him in some matches then, but I don’t know why you said it was not good for Ronaldo to continue his career in Europe, maybe you have other reasons for saying that.

Although Al Nassr had a bad start in the league, I can say that they have recovered after winning 3 games in a row because they actually have a really good squad on paper, and I'm not just saying that because they have Ronaldo and Mane. The management of the Saudi Professional League really did sound research about the players that will attract attention to the league. The reason why most of these top players were attracted to the SPL was because of Ronaldo and he brought a lot of fans to the country.

I don't also think that attracting the best players from Europe to the league will be the only factor that will develop the country's football. Most of these leagues are state owned which means the government might interfere in the administration of the league. A prosperous league should have an independent FA that will be free to make decisions that will impact positively on the league. The league should also attract sponsorship and endorsement deals for other parts of the world to sponsor the league. They need to be free from financial dependence on the government for them to excel.

Saudi clubs just focused on signing famous players, they sometimes don't analyze the stats of the players currently. So, it is very possible that the players can't play as expected when they join Saudi clubs because Saudi clubs only consider their big names. However, that case will make Saudi clubs be more selective in choosing players in the next transfer window. I'm sure they must evaluate it, they mustn't spend their money for unworthy players. Anyway, for Jota's case, does Al Ittihad really kick him from their squad? I still find his name in Al Ittihad squad.

It was Cristiano Ronaldo's move to the Saudi Pro League that got my interest to the Saudi Pro league, before then I don't know much about the league, I only knew about the Cameroonian Aboubakar played for a Saudi Team, it was when Ronaldo decided to join Al-Nassr after the issues with United head coach that I began make some research about the league and teams involved.
 And I believe it's Cristiano Ronaldo's move that's influenced some European players to switch over to the Saudi Pro League and so far they've been able to attract alot of quality players in different clubs of the league, it's made the league more competitive and interesting, they where very busy in the transfer window this summer and spent second to the EPL I'm transfers, up to about $957m, and with time I think alot more people would get attracted to the league when more top players join.

No team without proper European talents are winning anything this season. Any team that is ending the season at the top will have a lot of great European players they bought this season, I am not talking about European players they got before neither, or lets say non-Saudi players, the team that wins the league this year will be a team that spend hundreds of millions of dollars this summer.

People look at the transfer amount and say it is not hundreds of millions of dollars but put the salary in there and you will see that some of these teams spend as much as the richest European clubs. This is why there is no possible way that any team that didn't made huge transfers this summer could ever win the title.

A few years ago, very few people knew about the Saudi League. The Saudi League was not very well known. Also, I came to know about the football of Saudi Arabia in the last World Cup. I started covering Saudi Arabia football only after they beat teams like Argentina. The Saudi Arabian team does not play very well.

However, Ronaldo has come to the top of the discussion after joining the Saudi League. And the Saudi government provided more than $6 billion in grants to further develop the Saudi League. And they added several star players this season. Saudi League is gradually improving. Next season we will probably see more star players in Saudi Arabia. Saudi team hired many famous and superstar players but in some cases, they didn't buy good players and the transfer failed. Previously the Saudi League was very underestimated, so many fans judge Ronaldo and his career has been over. But when Ronaldo joined and played there, this league is getting interesting. The Europa players who joined this league, actually because of their age apart from that they also came for big money. Most of the Europa players get very high salaries, as well as the excellent facilities there. Ronaldo brought a very big change in this league, but I hope this league will continue to grow.

Several big names and young talents have already joined the Saudi League this summer and if we look at the list of players it might not believe that the Saudi League can do that so quickly. Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli are the teams that are the most diligent in bringing in European players and there are a total of 7 new players from each team. Followed by Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad, and Al-Ettifaq in the next position and this will make the Saudi league dominated by these 5 teams. The Saudi league has no doubts about making large-scale investments for quite a long time and at least we will see these names enliven the Saudi league in the next 2 to 5 years according to the respective contractual agreements between players. Previously, the teams in this league were dominated by local players. Even when Al Nassr has Ronaldo and several foreign players, Al Hilal, Al Ittihad and several other clubs are dominated by local players. especially, defensive play. Apart from that, one of Al Hilal's local players, Salem Al-Dawsari, is included in the top 7 goal scorers from 5 matches this season.  he has scored 4 goals, despite his position as a winger. Well, so actually it doesn't mean that local players in this league don't have ability or talent.  it's just that, we don't really know these players.

Such a plan of theirs can definitely give Saudi football something better. If they can bring expected results in this league then many players will be waiting for the opportunity to play in Saudi. And for this achievement Ronaldo's name should be remembered forever. If Ronaldo had not agreed to play in Saudi at that crucial moment, then Saudi could not have built this position in such a short time. It is surprising to think that the destination of Europe's biggest star players is the Saudi League, which could not have been imagined a few days ago.

In the EPL there is a term "Homegrown" where each club is required to have at least eight local players, and at least one person must be played during the match. I remember Chelsea was fined for not following this rule. With these rules, the England national team has players in each club, and on average they are mainstays or key players. I think SPL also applies the same thing, but I don't know the exact details.

So the addition of foreign players to the SPL will remain balanced with local players with regulations such as "Homegrown". I definitely agree that this is a win-win, the EPL is successful in a scenario like this.

Saudi pro league has limit for the foreign players that can be recruited by the club.
The federation was just putting limit for the foreign players that can play in saudi pro league but anything can happen with it. I don't really understand correctly about that but some saudi clubs have been recruited so many european players.
Saudi pro league must be even stricter than before.

Basically when Ronaldo chose to play in the Saudi Pro League, I think it was still the right decision. Because anyway, the situation and conditions that occurred at that time or when Ronaldo chose to leave Manchester United for Al Nassr, the situation was not good for Ronaldo to continue his career in Europe. Therefore, I think it is not right if you say Ronaldo is still eligible to play in any team in Europe, because the situation at that time was very unlikely for Ronaldo to continue playing in Europe.

That's the reason why they're buying those European players to help build their league and make it more popular as other top European league but it will take a gradual process and they're getting there gradually probably few years from now, we'll see alot of Interest in the league, but I think playing along a popular experienced player should be an advantage for the local players to set up their football career and develop from them, for instance training along side Cr7 or Mane would make a very good experience because they'll learn from them and develop into better players so it's a good thing for the local players as well even if they don't get much playing time, they'll be motivated and train hard to be as good as most of the European players, however it would take a very long time before the Saudi league gets better than the EPL even with their financial stability, moreover not every player would like to move over there.

Ronaldo started defending his choice of going to Saudi Arabia early enough and he also promised the world of football that in 5 to 10 years time that football will be in Saudi just as it is in Europe.
