Obviously the top teams are getting better without a doubt. However, to be fair to them the level they reached is not the part that should be considered good, it's the growth that they had which is the success. Right now they are not even a top 10 league in my book, and yet they are acted as if top 5-6 right now with all the media attention they are getting.

For example, I would prefer Belgium league more than this, I bet they are better but for some reason they are not considered as good as Saudi league by the fans, all because of the names. Just names do not get you wins, you need those names to play well too, we will see if they will actually do fine. I think it is to start thinking about a serious club world cup type of thing by Uefa, UCL is great but we need a global one.

another game was the Al Nassr game that beat Al Hazm, well in this game I saw Al Nassr as the favorite to win the game, but I didn't expect them to score 5 goals in this game, it was a game in which Al Nassr crushed his opponent and with that they managed to climb a few places in the table and are in position 6, but it will be very difficult for them to become champions this season too, because unlike last season, this season they have strong opponents who kept hiring. many foreign players

In the Al Nassr match against Al Hazm it is proof that Ronaldo and his friends have become a solid part and can endanger any team that will be their opponent. Even when we look at this match there is a collaboration between Al Nassr players who are very good when playing attacks and all their efforts were not in vain because they bore sweet fruit with the 5 goals they scored.
There is still a possibility for Al Nassr to become champions this season even though the other teams are getting stronger with the recruitment of top players and Luis Castro is also quite confident that with a good team balance Al Nassr can become the strongest and difficult to beat.
Now we just have to wait for each Al Nassr match and watch as other teams are overwhelmed by Ronaldo and friends.

By the way Ronaldo in the Saudi League this season got 6 goals and 4 assists in just 4 matches.

And I don't know whether everyone will agree with my following statement, namely that I feel the level of play in the Saudi Pro League is very close to the level of play in other European leagues. And I think next season the Saudi Pro League will be really similar to the European League in its excitement.

The four clubs that are under the majority ownership of the Saudi Public Investment Fund do have quality players and whenever they play amongst themselves the quality of play is quite high. But the problem is that out of the 18 teams participating in the Saudi Professional League this season, only 4 of them are supported by the SPIF (Al-Hilal, Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli and Al-Nassr). Some of the clubs that are not supported by the SPIF (such as Al-Ettifaq) have performed well in recent times, but in general there is a wide gap between the 4 clubs and the other 14.

It seems that Al-Hilal this season will really be a team to be afraid of in the Saudi Pro League. Because until now only Al-Hilal has not suffered defeat since the beginning of the season. And what surprised me was that Al-Hilal was able to beat Al-ittihad in the match 2 days ago. Benzema cs must submit to and accept their defeat. Even though both of them play very well. So I personally think a draw is more appropriate in this match. But it is still the final result that determines which team is superior. K. Koulibaly cs seems to be having a good day with AL-hilal.

Meanwhile, Al-Nassr is still struggling to cover their deficit due to 2 consecutive defeats in the first match. For now I am a fan of Al-Nassr. But honestly, I still see many gaps in some of the line-ups at Al-Nassr. As for Al-ittihad and Al-Hilal, I think they are getting more mature this season.
So far in their league they're the teams with the best signings in the transfer window, the got the right players and are benefiting from it that's why it's very good for team to bluster different sections of their team in the transfer window to prepare for a tournament ahead and not just signing anyhow but the rightful players into their team.
In the match against Al-ittihad I was so suprise with their comeback, they were losing 3-1  in the first half but managed to have a very good comeback in the second half to end the game with a 3-4 victory thanks to their new signing Mitrovic he had a hat-trick in the match, the Ballon D'or title holder scored a goal for his team but couldn't lead them to victory.
Al-Nassr are in a position where they're not expected to be due to the 2 loses they had and alot of people who are Cristiano Ronaldo's fan would be so disappointed because they're not in the top 4, but the league is still fresh and they have to do all they can to cover up for the points they've lost and meet up with their arch Rivals.
Well that's right the season has just started. And there are still a lot of games left. So I personally still remain optimistic that Al-Nassr will slowly rise to the top 4 and then compete with Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal. And I don't want to belittle Al-Ettifaq either in this regard. Because when I see Al-Ettifaq playing, I always see this club as more and more like Liverpool. Because there are two former Liverpool captains in this club.

Big clubs requires excellent performance from the players and the master planner, Jorge Fernando Pinheiro de Jesus has been doing a terrific job for Al Hilal in terms of making them strong competitors in league games. Al Hilal is among the best club in the Saudi Pro League. They keep fighting and winning games because of the players' and coach's persistence. The Al-Za'eem must maintain this grade level if they want to keep their place top on the table. On the contrary conjunction, I anticipate difficult competition in the near future; the important question is, will Al Hilal remain competitive for the SPL title?

So we keep seeing more and more top players flowing into this league, well right now i want to see the next world cup of teams to see how good games we can see between europeans teams and the asian/arabs one. Its gonna be really interesting.
You just need to wait until the fifa club world cup will begin. It will give you a chance to see the match between saudi club to face the winner of european champion league. That competition is the possible competition to make it happen.
I have heard that if SPL is trying to talk with EUFA regarding the possibility for its club to be included in the champion league but i do believe 90% if this is unlikely to happen consider saudi pro league was in asian continent.
The saudi pro league becomes even bigger with so many great players are coming to the league right now. I hope that someday i will able to see strong club from SPL to face winner of UCL.

About Yannick Carrasco..... again this man going into wild places.

It surprises me how atletico madrid's winger was interesting to be a part of al shabab instead of try to go to the another european team.
The more european players will come to the league before the deadline of transfer season which's gonna end this week.

I'm dizzy with the Saudi Arabian teams. They are in turmoil during the transfer season and are taking away a lot of players from European clubs. With trends in the next few years. Are European football teams still strong? When the Saudi Arabian National Championship continuously recruited stars from European teams. Do they have enough money to do it? Will their league surpass the top European leagues? Too many questions about them.
No leagues can't match up the popularity and strength of European leagues. It's not all about signing trending players on the market, because with the current circumstances, the European leagues becoming more interesting and pulled up with competitive games. There's absolutely no comparison between these leagues, because Saudi is just coming gradually to limelight, so there's enough differences. Stop imagining things, it will take decades before Saudi Pro League will be able to compete with European football. We don't sit in the position to make judgements on that precisely.

Yes, with the popularity and strength of European leagues, the Saudi Pro League is still far from equal. But I think they are attracting stars to their league. Please look at the results. The stars passed one by one. Imagine what it would be like if the European Championship had no stars. This is horrible as they keep hiring, and the amounts keep getting higher and higher.

That's what some people think of this league they only judge from one side even though there are many other sides, as you said there is no way to compete with the Europa League because it is on a different track unless a club from the Saudi Pro League participates in the Champions/Europa League it might make sense to compare them. It's no secret that the League's target is promotion and business because it's impossible for them to spend 800 Million without expecting something.

For anyone wondering how much money they have, just google it and it's easy to find, on the wikipedia page it is explained that their total asset value is $776 billion that's 70x higher than Manchester United price as we know Manchester United will be sold for $10 billion.

Suppose the Saudi Pro League joins the Champions/Europa League. They need to follow the tournament rules. Financial fair play will be a big deal for them.

the league games ended and we had results that left me very surprised, such as the case of al - hilal beating al - lttihad in a game in which al - lttihad was seen as the favorite for me, although al - hilal had a good team and a good coach, I still didn't see them as being a very strong team capable of beating al - lttihad, but on the field things were different, even when al - lttihad scored the first goal four minutes later al - hilal also scored the equalizer showing that the game would be very balanced and they were there playing to win and with this very important victory al - hilal was at the top of the table and with that it came to show that this season they are fighting to win the league
TBH, I'm not surprised to see Al Hilal can beat Al Ittihad. Al Hilal has more complete players in each line, they have strong players in attacking, midfield line, and the defense line. While Al Ittihad, they only have strong players in the midfield and attacking line. Moreover, Al Hilal is very obvious has a better goal keeper, they have Bono (top GK). While Al Ittihad goalkeeper is still not proven on top competitions. However, I sssume Al Ittihad got a lose because of the wrong tactic in second half, it is not about the quality of the players. So, the coach (Nuno) who must take the responsibility of the lose got by Al Ittihad.

Al - Ahli against Al Fateh, this game had a result that left me surprised, on paper and taking into consideration the Al - Ahli squad I saw them as the best team and the favorite to win this game, but what was seen inside Campor was a disaster, even with a much superior squad, Al - Ahli lost and conceded 5 goals,
I agree the result is very surprising. Al Ahli is clearly superior in any thing, they have better players and they are in a good shape (always win in the first 4 matches). So, no one expects that Al Ahli will be defeated by Al Fateh. The most interesting thing that no Al Ahli player could score, they got 1 goal from the own goal made by Al Fateh players. While Al Fateh could score 5 goals in that match.

But indeed if Saudi Arabia wants to have a better generation of football at this time the right moment, where on their land there are many star players who compete every week, this will be an attraction for the younger generation who begin to develop, of course the making of the academy will accommodate The interest of today's generation football is echoing in Arab land, even though the population is not so much.
That's right, the move of European star players to the Saudi Arabian League certainly opens up opportunities for young players to show off their skills at their respective clubs because Saudi Arabian football is increasingly in the world spotlight. And the enthusiasm of the young generation of Saudi Arabia will continue to increase, because so far Saudi Arabian football has seen its development even before its star players arrived in the SPL, this was seen when Saudi Arabia appeared in the world cup last year.

Quote
The problem of time will definitely take quite a long time in the development of this academy, so for now it is still very much needed by outside players to increase their league popularity.
Of course this process requires a lot of time, it takes a long time and is consistently consistent to make the SPL league into the world's top five, including in building an academy that will produce star players. In essence, Saudi Arabia's progress in making football popular has started to reap results, just a small example, they have been successful in terms of TV broadcasting rights.

They built this business on the power of money and yes it will pay off quickly to grow revenue for the big teams at SPL. However, their financial aspect must always be strong in every season because if there is a setback in recruiting top European players then it will have a bad impact on their business in the coming season.

Several SPL teams continue to recruit players in this transfer window because they still have a lot of time in the transfer window before it closes on September 20. The name of the top player that is often linked at the moment is Salah with Ittihad where they continue to try hard to persuade Salah even though Liverpool have rejected their first offer.

They must have considered it so there are no worries about money what is clear is that every season they will evaluate it, to be honest I'm not sure they make a profit I'm sure their expenses are greater than their income.By the way September 20 is the transfer window schedule for the Saudi Pro League while for the European League the latest is September 2, so there is no way for Salah move to the Saudi League this season because the transfer schedule for the Premier League is over the only chance for Mo salah is in the mid-season next January-February 2024.

Apart from that I'm not so sure Liverpool are selling Mo Salah this season unless it makes sense for next season so Liverpool have time to find a replacement. I heard rumors that if this transfer happens it will be a new record in the Saudi Pro League.

Al Ettifaq FC has officially obtained the services of Georginio Wijnaldum, they contracted him for 3 years and will play with Jordan Henderson at there. Steven Gerrard got other player from Europa and will help him in this league, also as a former Liverpool player I think Wijnaldum will not have any trouble in terms of adaptation. As a Central Midfield for the Netherlands national team, Georginio Wijnaldum will strengthen the depth of Ettifaq Fc squad.

That's still good news but unfortunately, I think Al Ettifaq still has no chance of getting into the title race. Although indeed, Al Ettifaq has a great head coach like Gerrard and also, Al Ettifaq has senior midfielders like Henderson and also Wijnaldum. But the fact is, rival teams like Al Nassr, Al Hilal, Al Ittihad and Al Ahli have more senior players and great players in their squad. Therefore, with Wijnaldum joining the Al Ettifaq squad, I think it will still be difficult for Al Ettifaq to become part of the title candidate team the season. But, at least Al Ettifaq has a good effort too and maybe, slowly Al Ettifaq will have a good dominance too later in this Saudi Pro League. Who know

I fully support @hd49728 statement that Saudi Arabia should, from now on, have an academy to recruit new players with the talent developed at the academy so it does not rely too much on players from Europe and also with this Saudi Arabia can also get reliable players from its own academy

Firstly, these are utopian plans, and secondly, they are too long-term - for the academies to give some kind of result, it will probably take about 10 years. The population of Saudi Arabia is 34 million people, the third of which are labor migrants, it is obvious that if the Saudis want to strive for the level of the top leagues, they must focus on external sources of players.
The Saudis have a lot of money to use in making sure that SPL is strong and that is why they are more focus on buying European players because they know that this is the only way that they can achieve their dreams faster. The country has enough money that they can use to pay foreigners and get the firm, instead of building a football academy. Maybe in the long run, they can build one but this is not what they want presently as they want all eyes to be focused on their league. They are trying to use football to draw more attention to Saudi Arabia.

Yes building an academy will take a very long time to enjoy the results and it should be done, I think they can do it from now on. They don't need to stop chasing European players, but at the same time they need to start investing in their academy. This in my opinion is a good choice, on the one hand they will be lifted by the number of European players coming in, on the other hand they are doing something valuable for the future, by building their own academy. Nothing is impossible if they want and intend to do it, especially with the money they have.

Saudi Arabia has enough money to accomplish their plans in a very short time and who said that money doesn’t buy you anything is wrong, We all know that investing in football academies is what build a good generation of talented players but this plan is a long term project and requires not only money and time but young kids to love football and for example if you build these academies in Japan or in Brazil we certainly won’t see the same results after years to come. So I believe what Saudi Arabia is doing now also not just a matter of signing players without both long and short term plan.
They intend to make their professional League and take it to the top ten leagues in the world not just for a season or two but all the next years to come with a great hope of making their population love football and fill their stadiums, it’s a one thing we noticed that before all these stars join their league we see that not many were interested in watching matches, now it’s the opposite and their stadiums are filled almost on every match.

Even if you think that Saudi Arabia has no long and short plans about what they do so far in my opinion is that it does not mean there will be no, they must see the situation and response from the community about football, as you said that the response shown by Arab society in general is very interested and supports football very well, so the long -term and close plan will grow itself after seeing the phenomenon that occurred in the past year.

And I think this is just the beginning, if in this season after many European star players enter the Arab league and shift the crew of the world sports media pay attention to every match that is held in the Arab League, this will lead to new enthusiasm and optimism in the future of the Saudi Arabian league to become Very developed, infrastructure development will be more complete, including their own soccer academy, they will definitely make it with a better version because they have enough money.
