When this league start at the same time as the big leagues of Europe we are gonna where really this league is. Im talking about Tv meassures, and i think most of the people its gonna still atach to normal european football, maybe they are gonna check results but nothing more.
Overall yeah, leagues in Europe will still attract attention but at a certain time the Saudi League could be the main when there was a big match for example in the Al Nassr vs Ittihad match of course we will not miss this opportunity we want to see the battle between super star Ronaldo vs Benzema. Besides we still can't compare the European League with the Saudi League, clearly different levels, although there are many European players here but in different competition.
No doubt European clubs will still get the highest views and attract more investors but we can't dispute the fact that the Saudi league is growing. They might not be able to compete with European leagues but gradually the SPL league will take some market share of top leagues. Before watching a match in Saudi Arabia was not an option but now one can always view the league to watch some top stars. If the management of SPL continues with this drive of bringing quality players, the league might end up attracting top sponsors, wide media coverage, and an increased fan base.
As a result of the recent important transfers, we can say that the Saudi Arabian league is now becoming interesting. We can say that the Arab teams, which have added star players to their squads one by one, are doing their best to watch the league. The quarterfinal matches are being played in the Arab Club Championship, which is currently underway. Yesterday Al-Hilal, under the management of Jorge Jesus, beat Al Ittihad 3-1 to reach the semi-finals.If we look at the players in the squads of the two teams, we see that Ittihad has names like Karim benzema, Jota and N'Golo Kante. The other team Al-Hilal has players like Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves, Milinkovic-Savic and Malcom.Al-Hilal's squad is better than its rival.
Benzema didn't have a good game. His impact was not felt throughout the game and he also missed a penalty that would have given Al Ittihad the hope of closing the goal margin. I am beginning to see that what makes these players extraordinary is teamwork. In Europe, Benzema and Kante partner with some of the best players in the world and these partnerships help them to put up good performances. But these Saudi teams have limited players that can make these players play quality football. From what I have seen I don't think most of these European-based players that moved to the SPL will enjoy their stay in terms of quality football.
