I do agree that it is going to be a bit of a difficult situation for Al-nassr because they spent a lot of money but also other clubs got some great players and spent a lot of money as well. In a case, where you spent a lot of money and still lost, people will be all over you telling how the club sucks even with all that money spent, but the reality is that it is normal and we shouldn't really judge them and it should not be a big deal, because other clubs are not some terrible clubs neither.

Look at all the other clubs in Saudi league, so many of them got so many great players, which means that if Al-Nassr ends up losing the title this year (which looks likely) then it is not a shocker, and it should be considered normal.
The Al-Nassr throwing money around? Great move. Despite their wealth, they look out of place in a league that changes so frequently. Like Al Hilal, other teams are spending a lot on Neymar and other big stars. Actually! When these stars are absent, Al-Nassr can't win at home. I almost find it humorous

Say something about their defense? They still conceded goals every game after signing Laport. AFC playoff game? They showed some potential, but I won't get my hopes up. Not winning the crown this year shouldn't surprise me or anyone else. No big deal for them

Some already know about the drama at Al Ittihad regarding Karim Benzema with Nuno Espírito Santo Al Ittihad coach, the loss of harmony with Benzema made Benzema want to decide on his move from Al Ittihad, due to Benzema's incompatibility with the scheme proposed by the Al Ittihad coach, making it difficult for Benzema to give victory and goals for Al Ittihad, this is what makes Benzema uncomfortable and this doesn't last long at Al Ittihad, true or not but the rumors have spread outside and have even spread to the European media,
I already know information about the harmony between Karim Benzema and Nuno at Al Ittihad and I immediately laughed reading this because I believe this situation will later spread to other clubs who are now spending huge amounts of money to bring in great players who play in Europe's top leagues.
I did not include related sources because there has been a lot of media reporting on the breakdown of their relationship. There was even news that Nuno said that Benzema did not suit the character he coached so that the captain's armband was not given to this Ballon d'Or winner as written by MARCA.

I don't know who will leave Al Ittihad, Benzema or Precisely Nuno Espírito Santo, the coach who resigned from Al Ittihad..
For business, Benzema will be retained because Benzema can bring in profits while Nuno is not a figure that can interest Saudi Professional League football fans.

real proof that the comparison of SPL to MLS is evident from this thread which is currently a bit more crowded because since the first move of a european player to saudi arabia Ronaldo made other european players believe that in the short term SPL will become part of the big leagues in the world and improvement is seen after team from saudi arabia trying big transfer this season get star player from europe and i am sure SPL will have big name after europe and MLS might be the next league.

btw, I was a little disappointed with Al Ettifaq performance when playing at home without being able to get an additional score in the second half and even though the multi bet I chose all won and Al Ettifaq made me very disappointed.

Me too but I have some parlays that only bet on 3 popular teams  Grin I know one of them will draw or lose so I anticipate it by placing some parlays, actually Al-Ahli almost messed up all my parlays luckily they scored in the 96th minute. Today another strong team will play Al Fateh vs Al Nassr in the last match the two teams Al Nassr won with a score of 3-0 but this time it won't be easy because the performance of Al Nassr is not stable especially when they play away so I'm afraid there will be more surprises, it would be better to wait for the line up information before placing a bet who knows the coach keeps some important players. On the other hand, Al Nassr needs a win to remain competitive in the standings.

Well.. this is just ego clash. Nuno Espirito Santo expects the players to dance to his whims and fancies and obviously Karim Benzema doesn't want to do that. Santo wants Benzema to change his tactics, so it is easier for him to manage the squad. My advice to Al Ittihad would be to sack Santo instead and get a quality manager from somewhere else. Whatever Al Ittihad had achieved during the last season was mainly thanks to its players such as Abderrazak Hamdallah, Romarinho and Igor Coronado. What was the contribution from Santo in this?

True, SPL was playing without script.  Cheesy The competition is far real compared with MLS. It's far greater compared with MLS. Even some young talented players like gabri veiga were choosing to join in the saudi pro league club. SPL may be considered as one of the best league in the world.
The club just need to be consistent in bringing the talent from european league. Slowly but surely, SPL will able to reach at the top level. The saudi authorities waere working to make SPL looks very attractive for so many people.
We may able to see SPL to be considered as one of top league in the world probably in upcoming years. Any team in SPL competing so hard ot beat each other.

Al Hilal is a most successful club in Saudi Arabia but in latest seasons, they lost leading position to Al Nassr and Al Itihad. Some transfers in the summer hopefully will help them to win the Saudi Professional League title again.

Neymar is one of their biggest hopes but they must keep Neymar in discipline from lifestyle to training, if the player becomes overweight and lose his best fitness, Al Hilal will not got considerable contributions from the Brazilian player. Then it will affect their chance to beat Al Itihad and Al Nassr in Saudi Professional League.
Al Hilal is an all-time favorite club in the SPL but last season they lost to Al Nassr in the Arab Champions Cup. The Saudi club brought several European stars to their club after the last season did not go well, and the most talked about player is Neymar. Neymar was brought to Saudi Arabia from PSG for a record transfer fee. The former PSG striker was injured for several days but is fully fit to play at the moment. Neymar last played a match for PSG after recovering from injury where he performed well. The Brazilian star had a man-of-the-match performance in his last match for PSG with a goal and an assist. Neymar will soon be on the pitch for Al Hilal as he is now fully fit to play.

Do you guys think this league will outlive this surge of players? They are all old and most of them will retire within 5 years.

Would you watch this league once Ronaldo and Neymar weren't playing there? I'm watching the MLS only because of Messi, if he misses a game I'm instantly disinterested.
I am sure that of the many who discuss the Saudi Pro League maybe only 10-20% watch the matches or even less, especially if the match schedule is midnight for other regions or when their match schedule coincides with the schedule of other more interesting leagues, except for Middle Easterners whose television broadcasts also broadcast matches from the arab League without having to subscribe to television to watch them, watching the highlights of the match will be enough.

Al Ettifaq could only draw with Al Khaleej, although they controlled the game, this was not a good result actually because the other three teams managed to get 3 points. Al Khaleej only had one shot on target and it was a goal while Al Ettifaq had more chances they managed to create but more failed in the finishing touches so they had to accept this draw.

Karim Benzema finally scored his first goal in the Saudi Pro League match against Al Riyadh, there were rumors that his relationship was not going well with the coach of Ittihad FC so he was rumored to be moving to another club in the Arab League, but Ittihad FC immediately denied the rumors, and this first goal may be enough to stop the rumors for a while.

MLS league has been attractive only for Messi where Messi's fans join for that league. But apart from Messi there is no other star in that league due to which this league has not become much popular yet.
MLS is more professional than Saudi Professional League and their stadiums are more crowded than stadiums in Saudi Arabia. Those factors are important for Messi decision when he did not prioritize salary and money. In MLS, Messi will have more convenience and comfortableness from religion to language and it would be easier for him to communicate with locals, team mates in the USA than in Saudi Arabia.

Yeah we understand the point and we know at the moment Al Nassr is not the best squad in this league there are still other clubs like Al Hilal who brought in 7 of Europe's top players this season including Neymar but the criticism is Al Nassr was unable to win against a club without top European players and can't score even though playing at home, Al Nassr's defense is also a concern after always conceding 2 goals in the last 3 matches which means it needs an increase in the defense area. If Al Nassr wants to be on the race track then every line has to be strengthened for the attack line no doubt but for the defense line there are obvious weaknesses.

The Saudi club has been the most attractive to join only Ronaldo and because of Ronaldo, more world famous stars have joined the Saudi club. However, since the SPL has gained a lot of popularity at the present time, it may only be a matter of time before it will be able to gain the same popularity as the Europa League. I believe the Saudi league will probably improve in a few years and gain popularity like the European leagues because they have enough money.

The league will still live even without those old players. There are some young talented players who decided to move to the SPL rather than european league.

I will still watch this league even though those guys will not be playing again in SPL. There will always be regenerations from the club but that depends on how much money be spent by saudi club in the future. I meant the current players who played in the european league might use saudi club as the best player to get a nice salary and enjoy their lives someday.

With the move of Ronaldo towards the Saudi Arabia Pro League more number of star players have begun to sign deals with different teams of Saudi Arabia Pro League. This had made it a big league than the past. The Saudi Arabia Pro League have got a big history, to that we weren't able to see the league to be popular. From the previous season the popularity have increased and this season have brought many changes to the league.

I think the league will continue to flourish even after the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Karim Benzema, Neymar, Firmino, Henderson and other top former European based players retires from the league and that's because of the fact that the league must have gained the global recognition in the few years these stars where be delivering their best for their respective Saudi clubs.
I think more European based players will certainly join the Saudi League in the nearest future
I will continue to watch this tournament if they invest in potential young players, like European clubs have been doing. They invest in famous but outdated stars. I agree that this is a stepping stone for them to promote this tournament. I still think the game is not of high quality yet. I have not seen any top-notch confrontations, unique techniques, or tactics of the coaches in this tournament.

Saudi Arabian clubs are planning to bring in very quality signings. I believe they can do it because their pockets are bottomless.

Franck Kessie was the winning hero for Al-Ahli in this game and scored a dramatic goal in 90 +6 minutes. The match was clearly dominated by Al-Ahli but they seemed to have difficulty scoring goals from the first half and Al-Akhdoud also did not want his opponent to attack freely towards his goal. But during normal time, Al-Ahli only took 1 shot on target and that was the only goal scored. I think the score results are like the previous match which was always superior by 2 to 3 goals. However, this victory was enough for Al-Ahli to return to competing at the top of the Saudi league and now they are in 2nd place in the standings and only goal difference from Al-Ittihad.
A very important goal to get three points, yes although if only one but that's enough to keep them close with Ittihad. By the way in another match Al-Ettifaq vs Al Khaleej, I didn't expect a draw in the Ettifaq match Sir because from their last two matches they can got full points, including in the match against Al Nassr. This result was quite disappointing for me, somehow they could only get one point.

Regarding Saudi teams playing in the Champions League Yannick Ferreira, the coach of Al Riyadh said some of the teams in the Champions League will lose against the Saudis because they invested much more and hired many superstar players, however we saw many famous teams financially lose in the transfer window to the Saudis, that's why maybe Yannick Ferreira is right about the Saudis and Champions league.
