The effect can be reversed but since humans don’t seem to want to scaled down on their expenditure of resources and governments seems to follow the same logic then the only way to solve it is to create more technology.

Well yes and electric cars too but what about the multi million dollar oil companies, the whole modern world has adopted and running on fossil fuel, it's really, really hard to make that transmission. That's why I ask Have we gone to far now to make the transmission to green way of living?

One of the alternatives for gasoline and diesel oil is bio-diesel (such as Jatropha oil). But surprisingly, the major corporations have shown very little interest in this sector, which is having a lot of potential.

We are living in an era where the leader of the most powerful country refuses to believe in Global Warming, by refusing to believe in global warming isn't Trump indirectly implying that factors that causes global warming are non existent as well.

I agree with most of Trump's policies. But not with these ones. He need to realize that continuing with the coal-powered thermal power plants will make the planet uninhabitable for our grandchildren and their children. Survival comes above politics.
What's the alternative coal-fired power plants? Solar and wind electricity is expensive and its too small so she could replace coal. Nuclear and hydroelectric power do not bring less harm to the environment than coal. Your suggestions please.

My suggestion is to use nuclear energy. Apart from isolated incidents such as Chernobyl and Fukushima, nuclear power plants have never caused any sort of damage to the environment (i.e if used carefully).

You can't save the planet, any more than you could have stopped Mt. St. Helen's.

Humans ever evolving and improving machinery provided as technology as what we are experiencing right now. Not knowing that these caused the earth severe damage. Global warming, bipolar weather's, animal cruelty, endangered species, human sicknesses are only few drawbacks of this evolution. Of course scientist, engineers, philanthropists are finding a way to lessen the damage caused but I think it up to every individuals on how we will contribute individually to these change. Every act matters.

It is not to late to save Mother Earth and we as individual should change our perception on the environment. This is the price to pay for our technological advancement. Global warming, greenhouse effect and other ills that caused our planet to suffer. Making a difference for the future of Planet Earth doesn't have to include huge life changing choices. Some of the most important things are simple lifestyle changes that, if we can all commit to, will create a huge reduction in our ecological footprint.

I guess we do not have because it all depends on our thinking all.

So I guess you are the kind of person that do not care at all, the planet are having a problem and you will not even do something that might be of help to minimize these. I think these kind of people are really ignorant and just care for themselves not thinking about others. Here in our place every season we make some way to reduce some changes. Like we plant bamboo trees along the side of rivers every rainy seasons and plant trees at mountain side every sunny seasons, it might be a little help, but it can create big differences.

Wow i never knew it could be reversed i just googled it and its true, If planting tree to reverse global warming can really i suggest every household plant a tree at least and they should clap down on illegal logging. That's rampant in Africa.

The planting of trees is good, but in fact the plants produce oxygen in the process of photosynthesis approximately as much as they consume themselves. The climate of the planet is changing, but the person to this is almost not involved. Most of the impact on global warming is solar activity.

Oh god! Are you saying that the global warming is being caused by the solar activity? This is the most silliest excuse I have ever read. The Sun is more than 5 billion years old, and any solar activity spans for a period of tens of millions of years. It is not a sudden phenomenon.

Global warming can be reversed but it should be implemented on a multi-modal front.

By manufacturing oxygen as a waste product in the production cycle. By that I mean more investment in buying trees and making farms ideally also solving some food problems in Africa... instead of clear-cutting for agriculture make the trees and food local.

The alternative is just sending off Aid and living on a prayer.
Profit and Venture capital while developing a country while developing a means of sustainability is real growth.
Also infrastructure to reach those destinations else logistics will result in famines as we already observe.

And a powerful army cough of the UN cough that can defend the trees, food production and road development.

And here now we have a world leader claiming that global warming is a hoax made by China. That definitely isn't helping. We need more research into renewable energy and transitioning into electric. Us private individuals do not have the resources to do all these. The only thing we can do is reduce our energy consumption and I suppose even that would be hard to do considering that every thing we do either need electricity or oil.

People still live only around 100 years or less. Saving the planet doesn't mean anything to the dead. Besides, if you can't save the planet (which you can't), why waste time on it? First learn how to live potentially for 1,000 years. Then, after 200 years, you might gain enough wisdom and knowledge to do a little to save the planet.

Cool

Well, the person knows that he can live a maximum of 100 years and not sweat about saving the planet. He wants to live to the fullest and do not deny himself anything, do not bother with all kinds of global warming. Sometimes someone can think about saving the planet, but he will not want to lose his precious time to take everything from this life.
You really said it right. People live so little and nobody wants to waste time anywhere. Everyone laughs will enjoy life and before that happens to the planet all do not care.

First of all, we all live on the same planet, EARTH. If you reside in a home and you get mad at people that destroy something in your home, shouldn't you feel the same way? It's everyone's home, and there are a lot of people neglecting the rules and just doesn't care about the environment, which is part of our home on Earth. You are stupid if you think you don't need to save the earth.

See, the problem is that the destruction will not remain confined to a particular country or region. For example, if someone cuts down forests in Brazil, its effects will not be limited to just Brazil. Everyone living in the planet will face the consequences.

Yeah and the sad part is that a lot of powerful people fail to realize how important it is for us to make a move now to save our planet. We've been blindly ignoring the signs which may make it too late for us when we realize to act

The problem is that even if 99% of the population complies with the necessary measures to save the planet, the remaining 1% will make sure that the planet will be uninhabitable in the long term. There are countries such as Saudi Arabia and China, which have rejected steps to slow down global warming and other negative trends.
