You know since the advent and success of ICOs they've been on an increase daily with new tactics developed consistently. Many fell to telegram messaging scam and lost funds. They're as well numerous I posters all around defaming the cryptocurrency sphere.

Just spreading awareness won't help newbies getting scammed. Scammers use wide variety of tricks to scam them. We can't really spread awareness on every tricks. Once they get scammed they will learn their lesson and will be more cautious in their next move.

I can't agree less. I believe a lot of people have either tested the cryptocurrency space of have good knowledge about It but not interested due to the incessant rippled effects of bad players withing the industry. Its either exchange or coin hack this week, or a project developer has eloped with community funds. The stakeholders that be, needs to find a way to checkmate these scams to have a better and safer business environment

Not surprised after reading the whole statistic numbers, social media is a cave of scammers. They can easily fish social media users with fake accounts and the advantages of cryptocurrencies help them to take the scammed amount easily. Linkedin is not the first and lastly social media platform that is not fully controlled by the owners. Fake crypto experts can steal the trust of real professionals.

Scammers will never seize to exist even if it was government that single handedly created the cryptocurrency, is it not someone that has the bold mind to even hack the Us government server at one point? Even though he was eventually caught but he still hacked them, despite the fact it is government system, so hackers are everywhere and strong, and scammers will never seize to exist in the cryptocurrency industry, even with regulation.

The only thing that we can just do is to personally try everything possible to avoid them, and the best way to avoid them is to ensure we don't just release fund to any project without properly verifying the project and also not be too loosed on our accounts. I think at this point in cryptocurrency, only projects that are already on exchange should even be attended to.

This is true yet, we can't just scare them and they'll just go away. Scammers are not like that. What you should do is do a precautionary measures in order for you not to get scammed by people. As we know, scammers are just lurking in the dark. You should be the one protecting yourselves against this. Don't just let your seed or priv key to your wallet be an openbook in the internet. Be extra careful. Use metamask if you're accessing MEW.

that is indeed the main factor why crypto is experiencing bad news, even one of the causes of ETH price fall is because of that, we know that most ICO / IEO using this ETH platform become negative values towards ETH because of the many scams in it.
I think regulation as people say is worth considering to prevent these scamer.
