If IEO is a scam, its must be exchanger fault. Exchanger should make research first before launch IEO on their platform and i am believe big exchanger wont put their reputation in bad situation. So far, IEO success give profits to their early investor but i think its just a start

So this really has to be carefully examined in choosing I am sure the big exchange will be even more detailed, honestly I am buying an IEO token profitable for me.

I think exchanges are the biggest problem of CRYPTO. There are just to many.
There should be max:
5 for big well-known trusted projects that has big daily volume.
5 mid range project exchange with mid-range volume and
5 start up project exchanges

Moving to higher range should be only based on daily volume breakout.

Now we have tons of exchanges and if you participate in bounty or airdrops sooner or later you have to register to more than 20 exchanges probably one of them is fake scam.

I agree that IEO must be apetizing for scammers that are getting short on ICO investors...
On your first point, have you seen the overwelming number of new exchanges ANNouncements that are showing up? Everyone after the same business, copying each other just because some exchanges had a good degree of success. From this scammy exchanges to scam IEO is just a small step...
scammer will always find new ways, so what is the real trick?
People need to stop searching for the "get rich quick" scheme and need to refrain their greed, so that they can learn and think... a lot of people are scammed because they are not carefull or interested enough and they just want dollar bills raining on them...

Scammers might actually find way to ruin IEO but I'm wondering how because it won't be that easy ,its not in the exchanges hand to safe us from those scammers ,its in the investors hand ,don't invest in IEO launched on not so popular exchanges

Possible but not as easy as it looks. They'll have to acquire some license before they launch and they'll be scrutinized in the process. They'll have to be really crazy to choose an exchange platform to scam people.

I agreed, the successful of IEO will makes scammers go after IEO soon but i think it will not happen on big exchange like binance and huobi.

I'm sure they will selective when to choose an IEO that they will accept on their exchange but not sure on small exchange.

I think you make confusion between ICO and IEO. Scammers will never be accepted in an IEO as their project need to be validated by exchanges before IEO. And bad projects will never be approved by main Exchanges.

It's as expected that scammers will go after IEOs after they have made a fortune from ICO. be on the look out, because very soon they will go hard on exchanges. Also, they may go about creating fake exchanges as they did with ICOs. Only renowned exchanges should be trusted. Hopefully no one will fall a victim. Scammers are every where and are always thinking of new ways to keep making money.

i only trust major exchanges which makes ioe, i don't trust small exchanges therefore i never invest any ico. But it's really hard to particcipate ioe at major exchanges.

Yes I believe that scammers will make use the IEO trend to lure the newbie investors but I think the community who has an advance knowledge on this space can help them if they report or notify newly investors to stay away from a project that conducting an IEO on unknown exchanges.

It seems that the IEO problem has almost begun with many new launchpad popping up, but I think it's a little suspicious because it offers rewards for registering and doing kyc on their launch pad and some of them offer program referrals but the rewards are very unnatural

Wow awesome topic, this is basically true, IEO is the latest deal right now, and it's truly obvious that scammers might find a way to join in the IEO stuff, I could remember vividly when lending ico was also on board before scammers hijacked it

That one is simple to detect, it is then the fault of an investors to fall into this trap, despite all the experience he or she must have add in the crypto world, even if the investors has not been a victim of scam before, but at least, he has read about their operations, so I see no reason why an investors should operate outside the coverage of a particular exchange, it is only greedy people that will fall prey.

If someone claim to be an admin of an exchange, what stops the investor from going further to verify directly from the exchange and also confirming if they are aware of such.
