The secret of happiness is to find a way to have your body chemistry be free of stress. Without doing drugs. Look at kids, simply playing video games is heaven for them. While a rich person could be stressed out as heck from the constant stress. Think outside the box.
The secret to happiness is to enjoy in the present moment. The present moment is the only reality. Based on our emotional attitude to the present moment, is what we attract for the next moment to come. If we truly love and enjoy the present moment, we will then attract more things to love and enjoy in the future.

Family and love
According to my opinion, if you want to make a lot of money then you need to have love ( or trust ) , so the neccessary for happiness is love . A successful person is someone who has the love of everyone
you want to choose between love or money, always choose love. Even if you have lots of money, at the end of the day, when you are left alone without love, you will still feel empty. But, when you are filled with love, even when you are starving and have no money, people who love you will always be there, and you will still feel complete
For me I would say the secret of happiness is living with simple life together with my love ones. Less material things, more love to your fellowmen.

I think there are two types of happiness :
Transient happiness
and
Permanent happiness
Now you can gain transient happiness by all the mentioned things like money, love, family ...
but it be an on and off sense of joy with won't last long. I believe the eternal source for happiness is inside, we have a short time in this life, like in a game, we need to decrypt the mystery of life, like Buddha or Rumi. It can be love, or compassion, or something of that sort, I am not there yet to know.. but that gives us the ultimate happiness and peace and then we can level up.

My happiness is money because i can buy something that will make me happy.
I Think money is just a tool which can help you reach happiness, but only with condition you know what happiness for you is. If you dont know - nothing will help you. Being happy is an art.
Both will make it easier to be happy, but happy isn't the goal.
