I think it always depend what you expect from your life and how do you see it because sometimes we loose our happiness by trying to gain more and more things even worthless or impossible to achieve so simplicity plays a big role for happiness
It's when I saw my love ones smile because of the simple little things I do for them.
Specially to my newborn little angel whenever I hold her and she smile, all of my worries, stress and pains are magically fading.

The power of give thank is real happiness.
I think both compliment each other. one can be in love with her v wife but is not in a position of offering the basic needs. this will stress him a lot. as a normal person you will need your emotional and financial state balanced. although many people always say money i not everything they always fail to say its something essential. by the fact that people debate whether its everything or not that shows you how beneficial it can in someones daily life.
This reminds me of an old adage my Grand father used to tell me.. It's says 'there's no key to happiness because the door is always open.

Yeah simple life can get you really far. No stress no pain no enemies. But can you do it in a crowded city, working for a bad employer?
I think the secret to a happy life is just contentment and always be greatful for what you have.
Love is important as well as Money. I know we should not have been obsessed with money, but we know that life without money is difficult. The secret of happiness is to share the love with others even if you hate them. Share kindness even if they wrong you. Being happy means having inner peace and contentment in life.
