it's too risky to sell all altcoins and hold bitcoin, but I think the risk of holding a bitcoin is not as big as holding an altcoin. Bitcoin has proven to have great prices and great potential. maybe if now the altcoin held is an altcoin that might have a low price I don't think it's a problem to sell altcoins and buy bitcoin.

Actually it's not too risky if we have considered it very well. But if I become an OP, I might break my money into three parts to buy bitcoin, bitcoin cash, and BNB. I also used all my money for bitcoin, and at that time it was fortunate enough to go up in price. Altcoin is influenced by bitcoin and when bitcoin goes down the altcoin will also go down, so it's the same if you hold bitcoin or some altcoin because the price will go down too.

When bitcoin rises, all altcoin holders choose to secure their assets and hold fiat or bitcoin. this is a cycle that everyone must know, especially traders.
but the advantage is that we can choose the cheapest altcoin to buy, and hold for a few percent profit.

I sold almost all altcoins and always do so with a large growth of the BTC. It's never too late to buy it back.
actually all the decisions are in your own hands because as investors we must be able to take advantage of every opportunity that we will get if indeed by selling altcoin is your choice of course that is also the best for you

whatever is done is good, saving everything to bitcoin is good or saving to altcoin is also good for later because altcoin hasn't started to rise big. but for me I'd rather put it into bitcoin and some altcoins which for me are good, that is Ethereum

Its depend on the situation, when bitcoin on good move like today better keep until its on correction than sell, buy more altcoin in dip because btc correction. If bitcoin dominance is not more than 55 percent i think its good to trade altcoin

Of course, the situation is now very interesting to take a decision. You can have a potentially growing Altcoin. Now it does look the price of Bitcoin rises very quickly. But it will also trigger an Altcoin price up. So you have to monitor at Coinmarketcap to get a good Altcoin.

How about getting some Webchain coins and trade with them at MintMe https://www.mintme.com/?  Early-stage traders and other crypto enthusiasts can seize this opportunity and invest in MintMe’s newly created tokens. Creators and entrepreneurs will be tokenizing their projects and offer such tokens for that purpose.

That's right because bitcoin is a high-potential coin and the number one coin that many big investors are interested in, so to sell all your altcoins for bitcoin is not too risky because there are many people who get promising results from bitcoin

Imho, at some point the price of the bitcoin will be less volatile, then you can make more btc with altcoins, but right now it's the btc fomo phase and almost all of the altcoins are dropping. No one knows where their bottom is, they can keep or rise their value as in usd but right now i can't see them rising on btc.

I think I'm late in selling the altcoin that I have for bitcoin. however, currently the price of bitcoin is as predicted. I think the altcoin price will also be higher, except that until now there has not been a very high increase. well, but I don't think waiting is a problem. maybe I'll wait for a little more before I do.

Sending all your currency for only the Bitcoin investment is little bit risky but if it was grow in the future then the decision made by you is totally outstanding and your future will be good like your expectation but it if it was not developed you will be like same how you can be in the current situation and also the future.
actually not at high risk if you choose bitcoin for purchase options by selling all altcoins, you can have a strategy when you get profit from bitcoin you can buy an altcoin that has good potential and that might be the best option rather than not using altcoin at all.

I bought altcoins back then thinking hey if btc goes up, altcoins will go up more.
They do, just not all alts. If you pick the right one, it will go up more than BTC. If you go with any coin other than BTC, you are increasing your risk. The biggest profits come with tiny low cap coins, but these also have huge risk. I have a good proportion in BTC, then another big percentage split amongst various high cap alt, then the rest in more speculative coins. Everyone has differnet risk/rewards tolerances I suppose, so go with whatever balance feels right. I just don't want to be all in one coin, even if that coin is BTC.

what about bitcoin cash?  Or say bitcoin sv or bitcoin gold?
Pointless shitcoin forks whose only value is in speculation. I couldn't see the point of them when they started, and I can't now. Personal opinion obviously Smiley

I heard ripple is centralized so can't imagine it being the standard.
Standard for what though? Crypto has many use cases across the whole economy and all of society. Nothing is better placed than XRP for becoming the standard for fast, cheap international banking. I feel strongly that it will become the standard in this particular sector.

I mean if there were only 3 coins left... what would that list have to be?  I would figure its bitcoin, bitcoin cash and litecoin.  If i had to include a few more, probably ETH and Dash.
The many use cases argument again. One of the biggest possibilites for crypto is smart contracts. ETH or something like it can transform society and bring in automation where a few years ago no-one thought it possible. And then what about IoT coins? 5G is coming in now, and IoT will only get bigger. BTC is a great coin, but it's not the answer to everything.

now that altcoin is starting to grow, selling it now and holding more bitcoins might be a good choice, because if we see that bitcoin growth is now very good, more than $ 10k has been reached and there is a high possibility that bitcoin will grow more expensive.

for now I think it's a difficult choice. We can see some altcoins now starting to grow. and bitcoin also continues to do the pump, having both is also good, but if I have to choose I think I will have a little bitcoin and more potential altcoins with definite growth.

indeed the current situation of bitcoin is much better in its price development than altcoin, it's just that when we switch to bitcoin we need big funds to get big profits, different from altcoin. the best step in my opinion is that we should monitor the altcoin more clearly, because currently there are still altcoins that have fairly good price developments.

If promising altcoins, then they can also make a good profit. If we look, today the altcoins have come to life a little. Maybe finally, they too begin their growth.
It is true, therefore it's not wise to go all in with bitcoin.
Bitcoin although the most popular in the market, it gained lots of attention and it will be pump first when the market is good, however, altcoins with great potential, you will probably make good profit when time comes it will pump.

Altcoins like XRP, BNB, and ETH, already made a good return to its investors before it fall down, and even now price is still attractive as it grows after it dip cause by the long bearish run.
The act of putting ones eggs in one basket as they said is definitely a bad act of investment because cryptocurrency market is full of surprise and ones invest in various cryptocurrencies (at least 3) is quite a good decision but adding XRP to your portfolio seems unprofessional to me.
