As of the moment, I don't think that is going to be a wrong decision. Bitcoin is increasing right now and not all of the altcoins even the good altcoins are not following up to bitcoin. Bitcoin is at $9,000 USD right now while eth is at $269 approximately. But I think in the long term, altcoins are much better to hold.

Altcoin itself is currently growing because it is an alternative investment for many people. and in my opinion we ourselves don't have to sell altcoin as a whole just for the sake of bitcoin. the potential of altcoin itself is still a lot of good to be able to get a profit.

Whatever methods and strategies that are carried out by everyone, for me it is a skill in the business that they have each. and I am very interested with the tactics that you do, by selling your Altcoin in part then buying Alcoin which has even better potential. because the goal of all strategies is one. that is, want to get a big profit. Is not it ??

Why should it be sold, while ALT growth also increases long as BTC continues to skyrocket. I think it's better to buy BTC than to sell ALT for BTC that will grow together, at the right time sell all assets together is my thinking.

Every investment have a risk, just focus to the coin that you want, that's what you have to do. Sell all altcoin for Bitcoin is a good option, because Botcoin price is rise in the past few days.

not a coin what you want, but a coin that you think have a lot of potential to growing hard in the future, and to know we must do our deep research buddy
because sometimes what we want is not good enough for investments,,
and i think if we want to increase our bitcoin amount, we should buy altcoins with huge potential my friend.

if possible, I want to do that. it's just that, right now I'm still waiting for the potential of the altcoin to rise before I change it into the form of bitcoin. well, now bitcoin looks so fantastic in price recovery, and I think the price will be $ 10k in the near future.

If you don't have a lot of investment knowledge and rely only on news to invest, then you shouldn't invest too much in altcoins outside the top 50. because they're quite risky.
For safety, you should sell all altcoins and buy Bitcoin and ETH or LTC. It's 3 awesome coins in 2019 and its value can help your capital increase to more than 300% - 400% if you hold to Q1 of 2020.

It's difficult to decide when to switch between alts and BTC. If you time it right you can gain hugely, but time it wrong or leave it too late and it can be frustrating.
I think probably a lot of people who have money in BTC are starting to think about moving to alts now rather than the other way around, but I might be wrong. History does suggest that a big BTC rise is often followed by a big alt rise, so there is agood chance that alts may outperform BTC in the near future.

I'm thinking that it's the best to sell your alts for bitcoin if you still don't have bitcoin. But if you have bitcoin already, it's best for you to expand in some other coins whom you think is plausible and accurate to your investing style.

I have never lost when I held bitcoin before and after the bull run, I managed to survive the bear market and until now, thank goodness that I'm still holding it. If you are confident with what you are investing you won't put much stress to your assets.

Diversifying is good but if its too much, I don't think it should be fine.

Calculate how much you are going to gain with the current price of BTC. That's why I don't understand why people are really diversifying lots of shitcoins in their portfolio. And now since BTC has started to run again, all of the sudden they frantically wanted to move everything in BTC., just saying.

Its just the transfer or risk but still the strategy is good as long as you are holding the bitcoin in long term. And me personally don't believe on any forked coins or coin with the ame of bitcoin on it,there are some unique projects got less attention and value as of now which might turns into huge valued coins once people understand them.

Lets say if you invested your money on bitcoins after selling all of your Altcoins the risk that you gonna lose all your investment is so low on my own understanding. because Bitcoin today is having the best market since last year's bearish trend. so If you do this there's no harm on it because you can still catch up on this semi-Bull run.

See price now, maybe i will regret not sell my altcoins early. Because it means when i sell it in good bitcoin price, and bitcoin price increased after that, i will get more profit from it. If i be you maybe i will really research where bitcoin price will go in future before take a decision.

It's too late dude. Remember this time bitcoin has already traded above 9k and i can say if that will give you a big risk when you are putting all of your altcoin to the bitcoin. I have converted my altcoins when it was gaining a big momentum against the bitcoin pair.
But you can try to put some altcoin then convert it to bitcoin to anticipate the ATH that may come next years. But be careful because this is a big risk solution.

Seeing the rise in bitcoin prices is happening faster than the altcoin, making me think that way. it's just that, I feel that in the near future, the altcoin price will definitely rise. however, this applies to coins that have no potential. maybe I will sell coins like that for bitcoin.

I know bitcoin will go to the moon but i also believe on top altcoins because they are good to pump as well. I will not go all in for bitcoin, because i have to earn as much and through diversification it can be possible so better to invest more on many coins.
Some of the altcoins are not worth investing currently and you should put at list around 97% of your holding in bitcoin and very few in other coins. If anything should happen to cryptocurrencies market today bitcoin will be the last coin to die and that is why it is still wise if one decided to keep all his income in bitcoin.

Firstly, let's be clear - when you say altcoins, what you really mean is shitcoins!

Secondly, I would tend to agree 90% with your hypothesis and my personal portfolio reflects that ~90% BTC.

There are a few (think needle in the haystack) projects with potential such as Monero and Grin but overall we are plugging through a vast universe of shitcoins!

This hypothesis of "top 10" and "top 20" is such a flawed metric as you have dogecoin and tron in the top lists but they are hardly worthy investments.  Forget all these 'top lists' and DYOR!

If you think bitcoin can move faster than the altcoins you’re holding then I think this strategy will work, though its high risk investment so the decision must come to you as always. I personally hold some good altcoins, and diversification works to me so there’s no need for me to sell all of my altcoins just to invest on bitcoin.

There are fine projects outside the top100 that only need awareness to make traction and reach bigger fiat volumes. With all the coins out there at the moment it is hard to spot those.
That’s why we have to do research before investing, its not that hard if you want to put your money on safe and profitable investment. That top 100 coins moves differently and most of that coins already pumping.

I do understand the feeling having accumulated tons of altcoins in my past 2 years as a crypto holder but don’t get me wrong. Your strategy work if you want to take the much easier path and not having a higher risk investing. As always said: diversifying investment is the best way to gain more. Look for altcoin that stands out from the rest and waiting game in crypto is worth it like bitcoin when it was still started.
