No, this is a very good idea in my opinion. The ethereum is a very promising coin in the long run.
seeing the current price of ethereum being down I think the time is right to buy more and hold it for some time to come. if you have seen the price change then sell and you are ready to become a millionaire.
for myself I bought some Ethereum at the moment because this is a very good opportunity to buy, Ethereum price is falling so I buy it to hold on for some time again until the price goes back up.

I think you should buy ETH which is one of good altcoin. ETH useful for gas exchanger or requisite for exchange your altcoin. So many platfrom use ETH .

If you are selling coins that won't amount to any significant value in the future. Then, for sure, buying Ethereum would be better because, at least, with it, you can be sure to gain some return after a while. Unlike newer or lower-tiered coins that are usually unsure in terms of how it will unfold in value. It would be better if you would actually use those unwanted coins as an investment to get a better coin that would give you a better chance of earning.
i think that will be better selling some coin that is not valuable and use it to invest in etherum ,,because etherum is one of the best coin that have a great potential and great value,,so let people sell what they have now and use it to invest in etherum before market start pumping again

I also think that some not very valuable coins can be sold, and in exchange buy an ethereum at a low price.
Ethereum needs to come out from behind the shadows of Bitcoin. The mainstream needs to understand that blockchain platforms are where the real innovation and future is - not Bitcoin. And that Ethereum is far far in the lead there.
It makes perfect sense for them to hold ETH and EOS as well, from a financial security perspective. Any time Ethereum gains ground, EOS then have more money in the form of ether to invest in their own development team. In the reciprocal case, they can use their EOS holdings to fund their team.

We can say with almost 100% certainty Ether will keep hitting new highs. Just look at the traditional stock market. Since the beginning it have been hitting new highs. Of course a small correction sometimes, but afterwards it alwahs grew bigger than the correction before.
look at ethereum prices now, I think you better invest just to get the benefits.
