when you invest in something there is no point in selling it all even if you think price is going down.
it should be like this, you have your long term investment and keep holding it and if you reach a certain amount of profit which you think it is decent enough for a cash out then you sell enough that satisfies you and keep the rest.

and in any case unless you need your money badly or know prices are going to crash you never cash out everything even if price goes down a little.

Dont sell.everything always save some of it. Maybe it will give you higher returns aomeday. Justt like me.wait until the right times comes for me to rise
what if the price of bitcoin will goes up to 1000 usd per bitcoin wouldnt you sell it ? i think selling it all was the best options when the price goes up because you cant tell when the price will drop and it will leave you a scar because you will regret it you didnt sell it . but saving atleast 20% of it would be a great idea because you could actually make it grow just like what you do from the start Smiley

Of course there is the right time to sell bitcoins and you won't sell that anyway if you will not be able to get some benefit or profit for selling it.

Just always choose the best time and price when selling it and if the price reached $1,000 I won't sell all that I'm holding.

I will still save some of it and remain for future purposes because I know that the price will even reach higher price.

It's a question that depends a lot on the market conditions and, of course, on the situacion of the investor, because it will depend on the level of urgency present in the situation.
For me, if it were possible to perceive that there is the possibility of a bullish trend, and if I could afford to take the risk, I would decide to keep part of the assets. The market always has ups and downs, and generally selling everything is not a good decision.

Yup, diversification is the key. The saying 'never put all your eggs in one basket' is true for your investing portfolio.
Cryptocurrency should add flavour to your investment portfolio, it shouldn't be the main course.
Nah, it's the main course for my investment. I am not a big capitalist and I have to find ways to ensure that I will be able to raise funds for my long term dream business. With crypto investment, it gives me hope to grow my money faster than the traditional investment, so I am taking the risk.

Some altcoins just have huge potencial, soo selling them now makes no sense at all, you could be wasting a great opportunity to get a good ammount of bitcoins if you hold. Even knowing bitcoin is achieving biggers ammounts we will see most altcoins readjusting their price, and those its something we all know that happens. Sometimes there is a good pump that may let us dump our coins at the best rates but i believe save the coins is the best for now.
Not all coins are good for saving, there are other coins that does not have a good future value, if you will ask me I will only save bitcoins as it has been proven already for many years that the value increase overtime. When it drops it will follow another pump, that's how strong bitcoin is.
I agree.. some coins aren't valuable enough. bitcoins is becoming stable when it comes to a high price value. So it's really better to save bitcoins than any other coins.. then sell some of it if the price really go above.

Yes, I, too, is not willing to sell Bitcoins because the price for it is growing. now it is better to reserve Bitcoin. so you do not regret the fact that it sold
I don't know, it all depends on your personal situation, I would not hold a grudge against people who are selling Bitcoins with a profit because they just need the fiat money.

Some people are probably in profit already, no harm in selling part of your Bitcoin holdings.
They do because they are in the business to make money, especially those who were able to invest early, they are millionaires now.

The only time selling everything makes sense is when you're convinced that a major crash or correction is imminent, and you plan to buy back everything at lower prices. It doesn't matter if the investment is equities, bitcoin, gold, or another type of asset. Trying to call something like that is a crapshoot at best though. Market timing isn't a strategy I find to be compelling, and I don't believe anyone who claims they can do it. Unless you're Miss Cleo, of course.  Grin

IMO when a major crash is imminent you shouldn't sell everything but on the contrary you should "buy everything" if to put it simple. Money will lose their value after a crash most likely and the prices will go up not down. One should really believe in money big time to sell everything  in the face of a major crush and I'm not such a person.

For me sell everything is not good because bitcoin has a great value that we need to have as an investment and it will helps us to stay away in financial problem but sell some portion of it is good to the cycle of demand and supply.

Maybe HODL everything will be better.
Always a good decision to hold as we are hoping the future of bitcoin will bring us more profit. With intention or goal, we must be hopeful that the progress will continue so we will continue to see the growth of our profit.

Yeah that's wise decision as I'm almost holding bitcoin over a year ( from $ 350 value until $ 750 )
and it's proven that bitcoin become my favorite investation recently.

I'm usually sell all of useless altcoin because it's difficult to trade with them

How do we define a major crash? I guess we have one this year when bitfinex was hack, yet people still not selling, I guess we are a lot stronger now.

I think it follows with some country who interested with bitcoin, especially technology behind it, if we see everyday counted at mid-this-year the price movement go more stable, especially recently when trump crashed fiat(i'm not trump fans for god sake).
Yes you right we a lot stronger, but don't falter to rumor or anything which yelling "bitcoin die today", it's never happens, since the internet still can used to anyone.

Selling everything will leave you dry and then you will no longer be able to buy at the higher price and you need to wait till prices fall again. I believe that if you keep a target price then as it is reached sell a fraction but dont sell all, if you see even more rise sell another fraction but still dont sell all. The basic reason is the same, if you sell everything you will have nothing to reinvest and then it will become hard for you to start trading again.
Yes I am also not in favour of everything, to me if you have some extra stuff in your house and that you are not using any more, so you can sell such kind of things but selling everything is really not a good idea, as I have just sell my old running and some other exercise machine which I am not using any more and then I invest the money in bitcoin.
Honestly if you sell it everything if you have large amount of bitcoin you can not make a profit if the price will continues to rise..
This is just a traders strategy that they will sell some right now because the price of bitcoin is increase high but you do not know when is the right time we are not fortune teller to know it so we should sell bitcoin and the rest just hold it and maybe the price will continues to rise.. so that you can know the right time wen you should sell bitcoin..
