Selling everything is not good at all and I think it can really let you lose a lot of profit when you do this right now.
you are right that selling bitcoin is not good for right now because bitcoin price going to rise too much faster and maximum people holding their bitcoin for the future and i am sure they will be get a big profit from bitcoin in the next year when bitcoin more rise its price .
yeah you are right that selling bitcoin is not good for now because bitcoin increasing its price too much faster so its good hold your bitcoin and people getting profit in big amount through holding their bitcoin.
Sell a portion of your holding when you see you can make profit, we always seek for a better income but it is not good anymore if we are too greedy as we might end up losing everything we have. I know the price will increase but we cannot be sure if this will increase a bigger amount as we expected, we have to be realistic somehow and always take your ROI before experimenting to have more profit.
I agree Sell the small amount of your bitcoin don't make it gamble it is better to be sure than to be sorry, Just a small amount but it is good to hold the bigger part of it because in 2017 I think the bitcoin will pumping so high again.

Wait until next year then sell Cheesy Next year is good because we know before the year ennds price of bitcoin it will pump Cheesy so it is good to sell but if you really want to hold a little bit its okay i think next year it will pump but not like this year it is fast pumping thats why the price now is big

I don't think that next year the pump is still guaranteed. I should say that if you want to sell, this time is already a good time to sell your bitcoins. But if you are just satisfied with the current price and if you want to sell all, then sell all. Or if you want to sell some and still save some, that's better thing to do. Because I think the major dump will happen this January or February.
I garantuee you that the prices will be going to go up next year aswell, we have reached 900 in the hardest time of the year, christmas, THE time in which everyone spends all their money.
I could agree with you that this is a good price to sell since it is one of the highest prices for bitcoin ever, but i feel that there is alot more to come, patience is key!
Honestly i don't expect any big pumps unless something big happens (fiat crash etc) Imo Bitcoin prices are jsut steadily going to raise in the near future.

The only time selling everything makes sense is when you're convinced that a major crash or correction is imminent, and you plan to buy back everything at lower prices. It doesn't matter if the investment is equities, bitcoin, gold, or another type of asset. Trying to call something like that is a crapshoot at best though. Market timing isn't a strategy I find to be compelling, and I don't believe anyone who claims they can do it. Unless you're Miss Cleo, of course.  Grin
How do we define a major crash? I guess we have one this year when bitfinex was hack, yet people still not selling, I guess we are a lot stronger now.

In the stock market, the index dropping by 10% is a correction. I would consider a 20% drop a major crash. I don't know if that's a technical indicator or not, but it's what I would consider a major crash.

Circuit breakers get triggered if we have a crash of 20% in a particular stock.
There are no such artificial restrictions in Bitcoin - the price is what the people decide.  Smiley

At times the whales in the bitcoin market too makes impact upon the price than the common users. This happens due to sudden block of circulation and again paves path towards rise when the circulation is compensated with the common users transactions.
I think that whales are not controlled price of Bitcoin and Chinese. All the same, they have basic AC mining Bitcoins

Bitcoin is truly free market in that respect. There is nothing propping up the price except people's confidnce in the system. This is different than stocks though in that confidence is only one aspect of the price, since stock represents an ownership of the business, so even if people don't have confidence in the business, it has value if it turns a profit.

before year is good sell all everything your balance bitcoin
and then buy back again in early month 2017
because in end year until early month bitcoin price trend in down price
How are you sure about your predictions, if bitcoin price today is at 780 ,maybe next year it will go higher and higher until no one can reach it.

I think its better to save the coins till next month and not sell everything at this point. I believe the price will increase even more in the following days considering the current trend in the last few years.

So I think its safe to hold the coins and focus on other stuff. Grin Bitcoin prices will increase more and more, no worry about that.
It is better to just sell a part of your bitcoin instead of everything, that way you will not left out if bitcoin skyrockets, but you will still be able to secure some amount of profit.

It is better to keep most of the coins.

The best thing, according to me would be to sell 30 to 40% of your bitcoin and buy into other top 20 to 30 coins as per the largest market cap and hold on to them for the years to come.
You will be able to diversify and reduce your risks.

I wouldn't trust other coins at the expense of Bitcoin. The vast majority of other alts are garbage coins that don't serve a purpose other than to be derivative. If you look at the coins that have at one time "been the largest market caps" besides Bitcoin, you will see that many of them lose value over time. Remember when Doge used to have.l a market cap of 60 million dollars, or above? Now it's less than half that despite a huge increase in the number of coins, which combined means the coins are worth far, far less than they used to be at that time. You see this pattern replicated with almost all the alts. Diversifying in alts is a sure fire way to lose money.

Bitcoin still consider as risky investation ( their value will decrease unexpectedly ) but in other side bitcoin can become valuable investment at one time for example, this moment, christmast on 2016 , bitcoin reach highest value since I knew bitcoin

My advice is keep most of your bitcoin as it will grow exponentially on 2019

it may grow exponentially in 2017 never mind 2019  Wink

I guess there will not be any point that bitcoin will stop moving in its price levels. I believe it will keep on moving forward/ fluctuate at least for next 200 years. All the above we never need to sell our bitcoins, we are going to have our local shops accepting bitcoins so we can use bitcoins instead of converting them into fiats.

If the statement you said at the end becomes true then none of us will need to sell our coins as we will be able to use them directly as we do use fiat in stores and shops for buying things and many other places, but maybe if we had the price dropping sometime then maybe we would think of selling them as they would have the same value in fiat after selling.

Sell everything -are u stupid? No not at all .if u sell all ur stuff and the next day if ur country declares that bitcoins are illegal in ur country then u l be broke and u would not be able to do anything unless pray.

If it is illegal then it will still have value. Drugs are illegal but they still have value on the free market, right? The same with bitcoin. Besides, it is impossible for a country to completely shut down bitcoin, unless it shuts down all bitcoin users.

I think that it is a good idea to sell your fiat for bitcoins.

this is the most sound advice  in the whole thread
fiat currency is worthless paper that loses value year on year
get rid of it as fast as you can and buy something real like btc ,gold or land etc

almost anything is better than increasingly worthless fiat paper

That strategy is good because as of right now the bitcoin’s price is going very high and it is still going up , and the higher it is the less people will be able to get their hands on so their best option is to switch the top altcoin that are close to bitcoin , because they will be easier to mine to get and the exchange rate will go higher the higher the price of bitcoin will.
I think you have to be patient in advance not to panic and rush to sell all of your bitcoin when prices are high, as they may be bitcoin prices will continue to rise and it makes you loss, keep quiet wait until the price stops moving and you can sell all your bitcoin

That is assuming that somebody has the hardware and or knowledge to mine the specific altcoin that is the flavor of the month. The problem with picking an altcoin is that the altcoins that are the most profitble to mine and or "day-trade" can be extremely volatile and even though you may profit a little bit from some coin. Then that coin will crowd out with miners and then you wouldn't be able to get such good profits.

The best way that I have seen to just hold money regardless of this "Sell-everything" mindset that people are talking about is to hold Bitcoin through this growth period and then once Bitcoin stabilizes a little then invest in a different coin in the end. However, we won't know what this coin will be until the bubble has ended.
