I don't think to immediately sell all the altcoins that I have, at least only a few that I think are not worth keeping, so sell immediately.
Sometime before ETH turned $3, I happen to buy some about 7k of it, if I just wait for the breakout at $7, I could have more money to spend on every ICO in 2017. I'd be waiting for more years from now on before selling the tokens I own. I'm pretty sure I can wait this time, I shall feel the frustration today but will later not.
The right project becomes really profitable. Hundreds of cryptocurrencies in the latest bull have earned good money for those who own it.
It actually depends on what are you holding.
The cryptocurrency market is too young, now it has problems, but everything will change, I believe.
many better options are still yet to come
I think we will see more price increases. We just started. First we wait for the rise of Bitcoin and then many other projects. Of course, we don't think they can all go to the moon. But new and beautiful ideas are waiting for development. These will support the growth of the market when the time comes.
WHAT IF, the alt season came? Then, this prediction of yours would be nothing.
Sell your shitcoins today. Use the proceeds to buy Bitcoin and solid altcoins.
i am sticking with altcoin no matter what, all i need is solid altcoins that have real use case and i will be fine, thanks for the advice anyways
Investors just cannot wipe out their alt portfolio for another coin if they are already in a loss.
Some peoples may already have a huge loss and they maybe don't have an option to think to exit and reinvest in a new coin, except to hodl for a fortune or for a minimum loss which they may digest.
Most of the above is just a variation of gambler's fallacy or some other unfounded beliefs that somehow all this is going to fix itself. I'm surprised that no one mentioned 10000 BTC pizza yet.
Now grab your calculators and tell me how much more money you would have today if you had exchanged your altcoins into Bitcoin in early 2018? Or really at any point since then. I bet it's a lot. And yes, some altcoins, perhaps 1 out of 100 or 1 out of 1000, may eventually become profitable but the thing is - you don't know which one it's going to be (so it's a gamble) and if you diversify you're gonna lose a lot more than you're gonna win from that rare good coin.
This is not like diversification in the stock market, where you're choosing a basket of generally well-performing stocks and trying to insure yourself from an occasional dud or some unforeseen risks. In the altcoin market you're diversifying among garbage that may or may not have a golden nugget in it. If the cryptomarket is going to recover to (and beyond) its ATH then you can be certain that BTC will be at the top of it. You can't be certain which, if any, altcoins will be there. Do the certain thing. Sell alts and tokens.
