Thanks for your tip, but one question about it

What do you mean by a protective layer on the opposite side of card "behid chip" ? Is there are plastic something/sticker between the heatsink and chip? I assumed they use a special (cooling)paste to keep the heatsink attached to the chip, not some kind of sticker.

I scraped off green protective coating at small square and glowed heatsink by 3M Thermal Heatsink Tape.
I think that my heatsink is too BIG for this card but i don't have smaller one Smiley

I see heatsink at the chip. If you want to increase the voltage and hashrate more, then I recommend to remove a protective layer on the opposite side of card "behid chip" and put another heatsink. I think it's more important than the heatsink on the plastic body of chip.

my 3 "old" board have a heatsink atthe chip, the 7 new board don't have a heatsink. For now I won't modify these boards. Maybe I order an extra spare one to experiment with.

I will check it this evening.

nice setup man Smiley

i just got the 5 i ordered today,
found out some of the fans i had in storage aint working.
so i got all 5 running hooked up to a tiny little 80mm fan untill i can get some more.

getting them running in win8 with the oracle virtualbox was pretty ez, getting about 2.8ghs from each atm. might play around with oc etc.
but i think ill wait for some cooling to arrive, i dont want to come home from work and find the house burnt down x)

how could I get it to run?
Run it as root (sudo ./cgminer ...), or better  change permissions of /dev/hidraw* (chmod 666 /dev/hidraw*).

HELP!
Actually I found out one more thing:

when I use the cgminer_usb from the virtual machine image, I get no connection to the server but it does boot up correctly:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/bw6n42uic6s6rep/Screenshot%202013-10-15%2009.46.55.png
But the ping from the terminal goes through. And in the browser opens the page. A worker is available from another computer.
Firewall and antivirus disabled.

But when I compile the cgminer my self (and install with make install) and use the command "cgminer - o -p etc
I get a crash see here:

how could I get it to run?
