i think you should think again about selling all your BTC for ethereum
because in my opinion a good and smart crypto investors will always have bitcoin in his wallet
Well, the truth is that if you have a lot of bitcoins, I think holding it is better for now. however, ethereum's potential is also quite large, so I think that it is also not harmful. well, it all depends on your circumstances. Personally, I probably wouldn't do it this time, and decided to take a look at things first.
In order to get a good profit from Bitcoin investments in Ethereum, you need to monitor the cryptocurrency market very carefully. At the moment when Bitcoin reached $ 40,000, it would be possible to invest the proceeds in Ethereum, which was just starting to grow and was striving to reach $ 1,000. This would be a very profitable deal as ETH subsequently reached $ 1400.

not a good idea, because in my opinion,
we must have bitcoin in our wallet even in small amount rather than selling our bitcoin for ethereum only
because bitcoin is the best investments in crypto world
Having the right amount of Bitcoin can cover all your loses to altcoins, so I also suggest to hold some of it and if you are already decided to buy some altcoins then make sure that you also diversify your money and don’t just buy ETH. They both have the new all time high so put in your mind that you are buying on its peak price which can put you on trap when the market goes down again, have your plan b if something goes wrong.

ETH outflanks BTC at that point exchanging responsibility for to Ethereum right now is a choice you're as of now answerable for. On the off chance that you take a gander at Ethereum which is extremely bullish right now. I'm presently taking benefit right now since when I've convert a portion of my benefit into Ethereum, Ethereum cost isn't bullish however right currently see what is befalling the Ethereum.

I have heard that some high net worth individuals are unloading all their BTC for ETH.
Never invest in anything that will only comes from Hearsay mate , it must be a well researched coins that we will be buying.

Reason Being is ETH tends to outperform BTC in Returns in Bull Runs for example in 2017 and 2020. And with ETH recently making a new ATH in USD feels very bullish and looks it may do the same on ETH/BTC pair.
So what happens now ? 10 days after does ETH shows proof of outperforming Bitcoin ? i see nothing but Ethereum is still like a Bitcoin Tail that will never increase value if bitcoin did not move up.

Quote
However after the the run or when they feel the top is in they will return the Ethereum back into BTC and hodl.
Manipulation is what you are pointing here ? actually the whales keeps on doing this in the past but i don't think they can still do this now since the Value and supporter of Bitcoin is really up high .

You'll get different answers for this question because it depends on the preference of each investors. Bitcoin and eth are the most trusted cryptocurrencies of investors for being well-established, existing for years and also dominates the market. That being said, whatever you choose (to be a much better investment) its fine because both are reliable to likely give us huge profit especially for long period hodling.

But as for me i'd rather allocate a portion of capital on each coin and will not switch to be on the one side only. Since they're performing well on the market, then I can take advantage the increase if I invest to both.

I would not do that I prefer to keep both in the bull run, even if Ethereum is outperforming Bitcoin in a bull run but the gap is not that huge to become lenient over Bitcoin, every bull run presents a different scenario it might be the scenario in the past but it will not be always the case in every bull run, this year could be different, we never know.

Yeah it's a good idea also to sell your bitcoin and switch to eth investment. I think both are good, and selling bitcoin half of it is wiser,
don't sell it all. Since bitcoin also has good potential to raise its price again, now that it is priced  at $34k, it is  quite good  and  looks
like it will move up, but in that way ethereum will also follow where it goes.

Never heard any of it nor reads any news that some high net worth individuals are dumping Bitcoin in exchange for Ethereum. It must be the other way around since Bitcoin is in bull run why would someone dump it all of a sudden when in fact they can get more profit in Bitcoin during this bull trend?

I suggest hold/buy Bitcoin because you can choose to hold it for long term or short term depends on what are you going to plan on it or invest in both just to diversify your investment in case it goes sideways. The choice will always depends on you.

Personally, I think it's not a good idea to sell out all of your Bitcoin for an altcoin. If I were you, I would hold a minimum 50% my Bitcoin for the long run and with the rest of the 50%, I will make investments in various altcoins. There is no doubt that Ethereum is a good investment, But who knows what will happen after a few days? Also, it's very wise to keep some USD in your portfolio. Ethereum already hit a new all-time high, so it's time to hit $2,000, so you can buy ethereum, and don't forget to keep a good amount in Bitcoin. because it's king. best of luck
I did exactly this, I do not have too much money in crypto right now, only 2600 dollars, but I have 1200 dollars of it in bitcoin and I have the other 1400 dollars in altcoins, mainly 500 dollars in ethereum and the rest is in some other parts with only 100 dollars in USDT. I will never give up on my bitcoin, they will stay and I will not turn that into altcoin, but I will not have a lot of it neither, I am not going to keep investing into bitcoin anymore, I have my bitcoin and they will stay like that and not get bigger unless I end up with a lot of money.

So, I am not in favor of selling your btc to buy alts but I am in favor of not buying btc more than 50%+ of your portfolio. I would probably get a lot more eth when I find the money for it, but I like investing small amounts like 100 bucks for new projects if I like them too, because they could return a lot bigger.

I am not going to sell all my bitcoins for Ethereum, but some% of the bitcoins I have I will sell to invest in altcoins, and one of them I will buy Ethereum, and of course I will choose another altcoin that I think will have potential and will. can raise the price to a higher price than the current price of course, so besides holding bitcoins I also hold several altcoins of my choice.
Altcoin investment is a good choice and not just ethereum, I support putting it into others as well. Obviously you have to be very careful where you are putting your money into, because you may not be able top put your money into something decent and end up putting it on something bad as well, but if you can find a good one, you could have diversification.

Bitcoin + ethereum + 2-3 more altcoins that are strong would mean a great portfolio for everyone. Plus bitcoin went up a lot already, ethereum broke over the all time high as well, it is time for others to break over their previous all time high and people who made so much profit from those will eventually take their money into other things as well, that is what I believe will happen next and this means having other strong big name coins would be smart decision during this period when everyone is looking for the next one.

ETH is looking supreme from here because just a couple days ago it broke out of its longterm range in btc/eth pair so anytime eth can pump hard and increase its market share and dominancy so yes it is good time to get more ethereum.

Speculators who think eth goes in line with btc are just trying to fool you. When btc goes up, it rules and none follows till it stands at some point. Eth is looking too good right now but will fall because it rose so quick against btc. I wish you good luck with your investment if you are in already.

The price of eth always in relation with btc price so if btc price increase eth will also increase and vice versa Im seldom saw eth price that moves in different direction and if this happens some investors will most likely jump into eth because of FOMO like in past histories in bull run  eth always follow btc so If I were you OP I will just divide my invest into eth and btc.
If we take into account and compare the indicators of 2017 and the beginning of 2018 with those indicators of the cryptocurrency market that exist today, we can see that Ethereum is almost 2 times behind Bitcoin. But today there are all prerequisites for ETH to show a higher Result, in contrast to the current period.

Fomos will move this coin there are still upcoming news that may bring more hypes aside from the current bull that
we are experiencing currently.

Both were increasing and reached the all time high so now I don't know which of them is good to hold because both were good coins and can increase for more. If you already sold your bitcoin just for ethereum then I think you should keep hold, no need to go back bitcoin.

Correct both are moving upwards so if you already sold your BTC for ETH then best to keep it on hold and wait for much higher
value and enjoy your profits.

I also have the same plan that not to sell my all btc to buy eth .eth is already made a new ATH level and it will be so risky to buy more to sell my valuable asset .I am keeping 80% of my asset on btc on can sell the other 20% to buy  some eth .We all know eth is the best altcoin to invest so that it could give us a huge return .So going through a plan and more strategic at the moment .

Why not have both since BTC proves to us many times to be the best of all and if you have extra money, and believes that the ETH will rise to the moon soon, the. Better to buy more now than to sell your other holdings. Anyway, this will still depend on how you see the market and what strategy you will use, its your call mate.

I would also and continue holding btc and ETH rather than converting all btc to ETH. The rise whenever next happens will be again lead by btc so why to miss that rally and then once altcoins rally follows it you can buy at that time more ETH or continue buying now as well if think before drop it will rise again.
