Do you think its a good idea to hold more ETH than BTC rn?
Owning a lot of ethereum at this point is a goal I make for myself personally. however, many people saw that the opportunity to choose bitcoin was much better. however, the economic conditions that each individual has today are different. For me, that's a good thing, especially if you can get more than 10 Ethereum by selling your bitcoin

Personally, I think it's not a good idea to sell out all of your Bitcoin for an altcoin. If I were you, I would hold a minimum 50% my Bitcoin for the long run and with the rest of the 50%, I will make investments in various altcoins. There is no doubt that Ethereum is a good investment, But who knows what will happen after a few days? Also, it's very wise to keep some USD in your portfolio. Ethereum already hit a new all-time high, so it's time to hit $2,000, so you can buy ethereum, and don't forget to keep a good amount in Bitcoin. because it's king. best of luck

maybe hold more ethereum than bitcoin is a good idea in current situations,
The idea of investing more with Ethereum is good but if he has the option, add more bitcoin and that's the best idea to have. Making sure that you have more bitcoin in your stash but it's not also wrong to have more Ethereum if that's the preference that he can do.
but never sell all your bitcoin for ethereum, because thats not a good idea my friend
regards
Well said.

There is high percentage of growth with ethereum compared to bitcoin right now. Everytime after the bull market of bitcoin there'll be bull run with altcoins. This time we haven't experienced the growth as predicted. Maybe over the falling months there'll be large scale progress with ethereum. With this it is good to hold ethereum, but not go for a selling of bitcoin for ethereum. Keeping hold of the ethereum and changing other available cryptocurrencies to ethereum seems to be a better choice.

I have heard that some high net worth individuals are unloading all their BTC for ETH.

Reason Being is ETH tends to outperform BTC in Returns in Bull Runs for example in 2017 and 2020. And with ETH recently making a new ATH in USD feels very bullish and looks it may do the same on ETH/BTC pair.

However after the the run or when they feel the top is in they will return the Ethereum back into BTC and hodl.

Do you think its a good idea to hold more ETH than BTC rn?
If you are believing in hearsay  then you're not a trader but just a risk taker ,imagine that you just heard and you'll  ready to
Unload your bitcoin? But lets consider that you'll ready to do that the thing is are you ready to lose also?

When bitcoin took the ATH at 20,000 couple years ago Ethereum is pricing 1,400  now that bitcoin reached another ATH that more
Than double of the last ATH yet ethereum is 1,400.

Now tell me is this reasonable? If does then dk it, but please update us in the end of the year if what happens.

I can imagine, after that, what they realized and regretted. If in a good bull trend, you leave BTC, then you must be mistaken about the pursuit of this market. Not simple and nothing? Or suppose in a downtrend, BTC or ETH will bring great advantage and confidence? BTC can sweep altcoin and even ETH, until you realize something!

need correction for the statement  selling btc but, buying eth is more proper  Grin

eth has room for 3x max growth on btc pair, and at this point, still safe for buying eth

but other alt already bottom, grab some for big gain, carefull some alt will be gone too  Cheesy

I am not going to sell all my bitcoins for Ethereum, but some% of the bitcoins I have I will sell to invest in altcoins, and one of them I will buy Ethereum, and of course I will choose another altcoin that I think will have potential and will. can raise the price to a higher price than the current price of course, so besides holding bitcoins I also hold several altcoins of my choice.

I like ethereum and I really believe to it's potential but I will not going to sell all my bitcoin to ethereum because It's better to have both this coin. They have different possibility value in the future and they are both potential coin the top 1 and top 2. If bull run continue both this coin will gong to increase and you may know that you will earn money what ever you have between the two but having both is more profit you will get.
Diversification is really important, we are talking about something much bigger here than just one coin, we are talking about a long term portfolio, if we were to do day trading you could sell btc and get eth and sell eth and get btc and do this many times in a day, but we are not talking about day trading. So, I think everyone should have both btc and eth like you.

In fact you should have btc, eth and 3 or even more coins as well on top of this, that way you will have bare minimum 5 coins, sure you can have bitcoin as the biggest portion but having multiple coins means you could get advantage when bitcoin goes up, you can have an advantage when others go up, basically make a profit no matter what happens as long as there is a bull run on any of them.

I personally have 11 coins now, I want to get rid of one of them so badly but can't since it is very low, but the other 10 I am very happy with.

Why not have both since BTC proves to us many times to be the best of all and if you have extra money, and believes that the ETH will rise to the moon soon, the. Better to buy more now than to sell your other holdings. Anyway, this will still depend on how you see the market and what strategy you will use, its your call mate.
There are investors that don't have extra money to buy and add for the coin that they desire to buy. But both have been to be the best in the portfolios and it's just a matter of adjustment and which will be the most in his stash. I will not also sell my bitcoin for ethereum but I might sell ethereum for bitcoin. But a day trader can adjust in most times in which liquidity he prefers to have it and take the advantage of the current market, yeah I agree, it's him to call it but both of them are not regrettable choices.

You have a bad idea, it goes against business principles. At any rate, ETH is essentially on the move and has a good propensity to cross the 1k5 hurdle at the end of January. The move looks nice for you to swap BTC / ETH. But in my opinion, it is advisable to reset 60% to BTC to minimize risk and safety because bitcoin is still holding a good threshold.

Not sure from what you got these information about high net worth individuals unloading all their bitcoin for ETH, it might be possible as the price of bitcoin touched around $42k and some might book their profit and enter alts especially ETH considering the hype regarding their upgrade and staking. I am not bullish on the long term but will see how long the rally could hold.

Bitcoin has reached a new All time high many times, from $ 20k, $ 30k, even $ 40k has been reached,
And there are many rumors circulating that bitcoin has a chance to continue its bullish trend up to $ 50k- $ 100k,
but if Bitcoin can stay above $ 30k in several months.

With the release of many Defi projects, ATH's, legendary investors, and just overall big money entering the crypto space these bullish events will continue to happen for small investors, ive always had big trust problems when it comes to anything crypto, hence usually end up selling my investment early, like is the case for ether/btc, i sold most of my Ether last year and regret it bigtime, just due to the new utilities being introduced and the price skyrocketing by x50% and now i feel stupid so.. point is.. there's always some new way to double your money and maybe be a little patient lest you know for a FACT that you should sell.

Not recommended, sooner or later the ETH price will go back to under $1000. Maybe next month, maybe tomorrow who knows... The sure thing is the price is in the overbought zone and the dead zones of the market will appear soon. The ETH can stay as a king of the season for a long time but you guys will never realize the profit due to greed. Greed will not make anyone rich if the investors go with mentalities like "sky is the limit"..

no i think this is not a good idea, better to hold your bitcoin or maybe if you want to increase your ethereum amount
you can sell a half of your bitcoin, but i think its better if you buy not only ethereum buddy, but you can add more alt in your portofolio such as polkadot or cardano
I prefer this option and it is better to go all-in-a single altcoin, especially if the price has tripled during the same quarter. Patience is the key in investing and buying the top altcoins is safer than investing in the nonpopular altcoins. I had did the same investment strategies during the 2017 bull season and it has worked like a charm. The low marketcap altcoins can give a huge profit if the right techniques are used by the trader/investor. Otherwise, the total loss of the wrongly chosen altcoins will be equal to the total profit of the right altcoins.

I'll stay with BTC with a higher percentage of my portfolio.
Did you try to fact check whatever or wherever information you get it from?
There could be a huge chance this is a new kind of FUD.
Using Ethereum as means for you to sell Bitcoin while on the other hand when it goes successful, they will be the one buying Bitcoin at a lower price.

I find the above hard to believe,  eth out perform btc Huh, how did that happen,  btc made it to $40k which means x2 for those who bought at 20k  and even more for those who bought below, eth did give profit but not as high as btc,
Anyways, choice is yours besides nothing wrong in diversifying your portfolio, I hope what you will achieve your goal.

talking about btc and eth, both are the same top coins. but if you ask which coins between eth and btc should we buy more, it all depends on the capital we have. if I prefer to hold eth which I use as my daily trading transaction activity because I have small capital
