I'm a week into this whole bitcoin thing so be easy on me. I wonder why you would ever sell a BTC ... For example: you buy 100 dollars worth of BTC but the price drops drastically. Why would you sell it when its that low? You KNOW it's going to go up again. You could wait a month (for example), the price will be up again. Or am i totally wrong here?

You're right, but most people see the falling price lower so they assume bitcoin will disappear and they flock to sell low, for fear of their money being lost.

That's because they panic, and they do not think bitcoin will get up and increase in value, they just think falling bitcoin and keep thinking bitcoin falling, and because of excessive fear they decided to sell cheap.
It's logic that's what we need to do, many people are afraid that bitcoin will drop more and that's why they sell their bitcoin and it's not good at all, they lose money literally, if they wait a few more weeks or a month maximum, they will make a profit.

Selling your coins at its lowest price is the worst scenario you can do and you will just keep on losing a huge amount of your investments if you do that, so try to read different speculations before investing a coin in order to determine if you will be earning profit this month or not.

We are focusing on people who sell their coins that are small fish in a big pond. Why not consider the rich whales that sell their bitcoins in order to buy short CME futures as well? That alone is the reason why there is a downtrend because whales keep selling their coins when market is afraid.

Which in result do make smaller fish sell as well and help them out but those small fishes are not the sole reason. Selling because of fear is stupid I agree, but selling in order to make the price go lower and using that capital to buy shorts on futures is actually a brilliant strategy.

I don't understand why other people will choose to sell even though they are aware that the price is still low. The only thing they are going to get are losses. Instead of selling due to fear of losing, it's always suggested to hold your bitcoin for a while, until the price go back up again.
One of the reasons of why that happens is that panic has taken over them, they are no longer thinking in a logical way, they are letting their emotions getting in the way and once you do that you have already lost control over yourself and your money, this is why one of the most common advices is to always control your emotions when you are trading or investing.

People sell there bitcoin becs. The stress level is already beyond control. They are afraid to lose that much and tend to panic.
Selling Bitcoin in a time when the prices are high is the best thing you can do to maximize your prices. Right now, the values are way down and what we need to do is to hold the coins because we had a small rise of few hundred dollars in the last few hours.

Besides, selling the Bitcoin even if it is earning you some profit right now is equivalent to depriving yourself of the profit that you might earn in the green market.
To sell bitcoin required a really mature strategy, because if you want to get a big profit, because if we do it with origin and careless then we will not get big profits and can we really lose, because the bitcoin values are often up and down with quickly without us being able to predict, and therefore we should do with careful thought and do not panic.

as for now selling is not a good option. Btc is holding above 6000 usd and there is good green signals.
if it pass 6800 than its a bull run for 50k by the end of 2018

Everyone must have different needs, so I think they sell Bitcoin when the price goes down maybe they need a sudden need. for that they sell Bitcoin they have.
this is what I do when I need money to buy something for my daily needs and I always sell my bitcoin no matter how much the price. but if I still have money, then I don't have to sell my bitcoin and only hold it until the price increase higher. maybe I will sell my bitcoin so I can buy another bitcoin again at the low price so I can have more bitcoin in my wallet.

Thank God, I did not sell my Bitcoins when the market was on the bottom. Now I am waiting for the BTC price growth. If I need the money, I'd better lend it.

that is great, you can hold your bitcoin when the price is at the downtrend. I am sure that many of us still waiting for the price increase again. I think if you need the money, you don't have to lend but you can try to do trade which will give you a profit. but this will need the skill to analyze the coin so you can earn a profit.

It is a bad choice to sell now and is the utmost foolishness because you are in loss and you have to understand that it is a long term investment which will payoff in a high market. So wait for high market and do not sell now instead of buying more. You will be in much benefit if you make a nig collection of coins, once you get success in leading this collection into a high market then all the success is yours.
Yeah and I think those people sell their coins that cannot wait for long time. They are impatience and take the selling decisions in emotions. It is not good for their future because the future of bitcoin is very bright and they will recover their deficits if they hold for some more time. To avoid huge deficits you will have to wait for long time till the price grow again.

I hope that the presence of news coming from our friends at https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/mtgox-trustee-halts-bitcoin-sell-offs-4517222 and in https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/mt-gox-bitcoins-dark-chapter-ends-with-a-doorway-to-1-billion-in-refunds-4519927, can foster our confidence in the growth of bitcoin prices in the future, because lately there are still a lot of confusions of newscasting, which I think may lead to allegations - a negative prediction in the eyes of the public especially investors and users.

I am not selling my bitcoin even prices are falling, i will always stay in shape despite of the negative fluctuations in the market, others tend to go panic selling on their bitcoins when prices go down. But it is very important to prolong patience in times of dip price.

we need to hold our bitcoin if we want to sell at the highest price and it's not a good idea to sell it right now. bitcoin price still going to down and we don't know how far the price wants to get down. still, cryptocurrency cannot predictable and makes people get panic because the price is not shown to go up. it is a long time to wait for bitcoin price to go up since the last year bitcoin price reaches the highest price ever. we need to be patient and soon, we can see that the market is increased.

Stop selling Bitcoin and do not look back because the market favors the increase trend and even those who had invested in the start of the year 2018 also want to invest more. They know that the market is still achievable and if they double their investment then the profit will become double the sum as the price is increasing soon and the high market will cover the sky.

Do not panic, and do not sell your bitcoin for a low price. If you look at the bitcoin price chart, you can see that price changes, bitcoin may fall and can also increase again. So, just hold bitcoin for a while and you will get a profit in the investment.
