I hope in doing KYC we must be careful because we will not know for the future. That our personal data will be used for what. And I think to avoid a project using KYC for participants to join.

This ia one of the disadvantages getting online transactions using blockchain unless otherwise thumb marks are used plus one on one video calls. Been part of a group too and I should really say that was unfair.
I don't know how you can fake the KYC process. The ones I've been involved with requires me to hold my identification while taking the picture with the current date. In addition to that, I had to scan both the front and back of my ID. This process was for a couple of major cryptocurrency exchanges.
While I do not know exactly how someone could do that either since I refuse to go through KYC in the first place at the same time I will never underestimate how far some people will go to try to cheat KYC policies, if what you are describing is true then it is entirely possible some people decide to use photoshop to modify some images and try to pass KYC that way.
Would not recommend. The benefits of getting into an ICO do not outweigh the cost of getting caught. That said, it's common for people to connect with friends that are foreign nationals.
indeed, how will organizations verify the identity of every person on the planet? is there a list available somewhere? I think it's easier to fake the data because no one will ever know
Most ICOs are now asking for KYCs,doesn't mean that it's. An indication that they will be a success, most people however send fake ids for some reason, but I dont blane them. At all, you never know where your details will end up, one just has to be cautiousness and

If I send real information about myself, very soon my information will also be sent by other people. I do not believe that ICO organizers can safely store information
A lot of people here are sending out other people's documents. You can send in strangers too if you're worried . Who is smart does not send their documents. If you do not know how to do it use the Internet.
If a project is legitimate and if you are about to join in that particular then yo should ask if kyc is required for it. We cant deny the fact that in this year there are so many ico that used to require the investors or the bounty to go with KYC to have no other problems with the laws.

If they have no any way to verify IDs, then there is no any reason for accepting all these documents for kyc, if only someone would come and defeat KYC process via photoshopped documents. Absolutely not fair, something must be done to eradicate that from ICO industry
don't you think Its' dangerous if some bad guys know your personal details infomation. i never joined project which need KYC ,why not buy from market ,maybe cheaper then ICO.
Make sure only to do KYC when the ico that hosts it is a legit one. Do not give your credentials to a scam like ico, it may be harm. But to those users who uses a fake documents, and invested on a campaign, they have a chance to be banned by using fake documents if the team finds out. And has a big chance that the amount they invested will be banned and cant be recovered.
So that no one can use my documents, I do not send a copy of my passport, but use a driver's license for this.
I think that sending of fake documents for the KYC, this is the risk that you will not get your reward. I do not know how verification works, but I think that if KYC really is needed for the ICO, then such verification must be carried out.
I don't think the founder of a project really check the investors IDs. It is just a way to avoid the law problem. And I think it is a good way to do with fake IDs.
I do not understand the meaning of passing KYC. Buy fake documents is not a problem. Everyone knows that. In fact, even no one really checks for a fake. I see that there are no obvious signs and miss everything.
It is because their greed, they want to invest in a coin so badly that they are willing to do anything even if that means exposing themselves to great risks like identity theft they are not thinking of the future consequences of their actions. These guys might be making some sense here about the fake ID because we don't know what these governments are up to. Anyway it all depends on the type of questions asked in the form, we should be very careful about it
It will be better than to say sorry,because you will never know when will these IDs be sold to the darkweb,or it might be used to any illegal activities and your name will face a lot of lawsuits,that is why we need to be more vigillant get some fake IDs so that you will be safe to any bad situation in the future,do not trust anyone except yourself. As long as you are following the promising ico with good guys behind the project and your ID will still safe dude
No wonder some people easily do KYC even as bounty participants. Even when others complain, these set of people would never complain. I cannot use fake data and so i can't participate in any KYC. I do not even see any reason why i should participate in KYC as a bounty hunter. The only place i feel KYC is necessary is on exchange and this is for security reasons.
It is the wisest idea that you could ever do so that your privacy wont be compromised because you wont know when will these people start selling off our IDs,sending fake ones would be enough to secure our privacy in the future.
