Not sure this helps, but if the address you used(12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj) was a one-time address from coinbase. Then coinbase would have the would have the private key to address (12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj), depending on their program, they should be able to sweep it again into your account.

Appreciate the help...the address was generated from coinbase app...I have no other answer as to where is came from. How can I get my funds?
Does that app's addresses list reflects the address of your coinbase account?
Or is it the official app: Android / IOS?

Unless you got the control (Private Key or the wallet where it belongs) over the address 12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj, your coins were lost/stolen.

Because, it looks like the owner of that address just passed the first deposit 'cause it's a "petty steal" and to make you believe that the transaction went through without a problem, then, just left the "profitable" balance for the next "mixing".

My Two-cents here is that you're a victim of a scam/malware, or try to open your mobile app if it still have that address in the list.

This would require the coinbase app to be compromised, right?
I suspect that 12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj doesn't belong to coinbase (as their CS said)

BOB I did use the official app...what is confusing is how one transaction makes it into my coinbase wallet and the second transaction did not. I am royally screwed if I can't figure this out...greatly appreciate your help
My previous reply partly explains it:

After 12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj received the first transaction (0.09481172 BTC) you/he sent it immediately to 36ii5gNkZw2vAZ8TVk9dYXtVVbJxk68hiE (based on the image) which belongs to your Coinbase account that surely reflects as balance.
-edit-
Bob got the same idea, I'm pretty sure.

The real question is: where did you get this address: 12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj?

OP has mentioned that he got that address from his coinbase mobile app (on his iphone).

I am still waiting for the answer whether he is using the official ios app from coinbase.

Either it is a malicious application or OP did use a intermediary wallet. That's all i can think of.

Could it be a coinbase error with the wallet address they provided

I think I got a hint on this.
Because the transactions and your statement can be linked in a "scenario".

But before that, just a list of possibilities:
    • Those SegWit addresses (inputs from [f1c52f3edd8]&[afc314f97a] tx) belong to Kraken which are the two withdrawals that you've made.
    • After 12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj received the first transaction (0.09481172 BTC) you/he sent it immediately to 36ii5gNkZw2vAZ8TVk9dYXtVVbJxk68hiE which belongs to your Coinbase account that surely reflects as balance.

The 12ngg does not show in my coinbase wallet history...I don't understand this? Only the 36ii5 address does...
Could it be 12ngg~ is one of your own addresses? Have you checked all other wallets you use?
My guess is you withdrew to your own wallet, then forwarded it to Coinbase, and forgot to do the second step when you did it again.

Note that it's always recommended to withdraw to your own wallet first, instead of sending coins from one exchange to another one. By sending it to your own wallet, you can always prove ownership of the address if it's needed later on.
The question is: do you own 12ngg~?

What do you mean? Sorry I am a noob...

I only have Kraken account and Coinbase account...I do not show any balance on either

The 12ngg does not show in my coinbase wallet history...I don't understand this? Only the 36ii5 address does...

    This does make sense.

    From the coinbase FAQ:
    Quote
Coinbase began implementing SegWit across our platform on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. We will progressively update all customer Bitcoin addresses to be SegWit-compatible (SegWit addresses) over the following week.

So, the 12ngg.. is somehow a different address (not from coinbase).
Did you use any software wallet on your PC / mobile ?

I did everything on my iphone...I have the coinbase app where I generated the wallet address...after I copied it I then went to Kraken on safari and pasted into the withdrawal form.

What is confusing is how did the first transaction make it into coinbase? On Kraken each withdrawal shows that I sent to the same wallet adress..that being the 12ngg

Yes I directly copied from the official coinbase app...I have an iphone. I went into coinbase and selected the account I named "Cash Out Account" top right of screen there is a button you hit which pulls up a screen saying only send BTC to this address...

Is it this app: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/coinbase-bitcoin-wallet/id886427730 ?

Please verify whether you are using the official application.

As far as I am concerned the 12ngg is from coinbase? As the first transaction made it successfully into my coinbase account

Unfortunately not. The transaction from 12ngg.. to 36ii5.. made it successfully to coinbase.

This seems to be very odd..
Besides a malicious application which displays attackers addresses (and forwards them if the amount is too low), i can't think of what happened here.

Did you directly copy the deposit address from coinbase and pasted it into the withdrawal field on kraken ?

Because somehow there is an intermediary address (12ngg..) between your withdrawal of kraken and the deposit to coinbase (36ii5..).

    Edit:
Yes I sent from Kraken to Coinbase...the 12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj is where I sent both transactions...

I thought this is what was given to me by coinbase when I copied and pasted from my coinbase mobile app into Kraken, I did send the transactions 15min apart..what do I do?

Thats weird. But i believe coinbase switched to p2sh segwit addresses (starting with 3..) ? Or am i wrong here?
Did you use the official app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.coinbase.android) to get the deposit address??

Coins have gone: Kraken -> 12ngg address (unknown wallet?) -> 36ii5 (Coinbase)...

The solution is that you need to figure out which wallet is in control of the 12ngg address...

It isn't Kraken... And apparently it isn't Coinbase. What apps did you use? What apps do you have installed on your phone?

address 12ngg3CB... clearly received 2 payments ~20 mins apart
where do you get the 12ngg... address from? as how you generate it on coinbase?
it's crucial knowing how you generate it, could it be a one-time payment address on coinbase system?

Alright.. so looking at the transaction and the first email this is what i can conclude:

You have deposited 0.09471172 BTC from 12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj to 36ii5gNkZw2vAZ8TVk9dYXtVVbJxk68hiE.

Coinbase has confirmed that 36ii5gNkZw2vAZ8TVk9dYXtVVbJxk68hiE is their address (from the 1st mail).

12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj obviously is your address. Your wallet does hold the private key for this address (what wallet are you using ??)

Afterwards you have sent 0.62574 BTC to 12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj (which you have control of), confusing it with the address from coinbase (36ii5gNkZw2vAZ8TVk9dYXtVVbJxk68hiE).

Your coins (0.62574 BTC) are still under your control. You can access them with the same wallet (and wallet file / seed / etc..) as when depositing to coinbase the first time.
They should be visible in your wallet.

Sorry BOB I am a noob in the crypto currency world...Yes I sent from Kraken to Coinbase...the 12ngg3CB9VDvkbFDx7JKY92i9kYgDmiEaj is where I sent both transactions...

OP claims he sent the coins to 12ngg...

But somehow the first lot then went from 12ngg to 36ii5, but the 2nd lot didn't??!? Huh Huh Huh

Something else has happened here that the OP hasn't quite explained. Did they withdraw from Kraken to another wallet app before sending to Coinbase? Huh

I have pictures of the transactions on Kraken which show the wallet addresses that are identical I am not sure how to post pix on this site tho
Upload the pics to an image hosting service like imgur and then post the links generated by that service
