The whole idea of SETHER is to automate all this huge work. Companies can automate many tasks that currently involve a mass amount of people, as you said.
All altcoins (tokens) have a fixed ETH exchange rate, because it is hard-coded in the smart contract and cannot be changed without altering the contract. What you can do is give bonuses or discounts, but the rate cannot be altered during a crowdsale. After the crowdsale, one could alter the smart contract to change it, but it is NOT recommended. Changing the rate of the token against ETH can dillute investors and could lead to a rapid decrease in the confidence for your project.

From what I understand regarding this, this would be some kind of promotion that would help companies introduce their tokens or business. This would be very helpful since right now, startups need some kind of promotion or exposure to the public as to be known and to influence individuals to get into their business or invest in them.
