Hello,

Guys i having some issue with the discards. The seem to be almost half of the accepted. What do the discards mean and how can they be reduced?

accepted = 4938
Rejected = 14
Discarded = 2915
stale = 1
diff = 767
diff1# = 3697137
diffA# = 3617613
diffR# = 3110
diffS# = 801
LSdiff = 767

Temps steady at 47-48 C

Any ideas?

Interesting.  I have never seen a number in diffS#.  I'm curious

I stopped paying attention to all those numbers and just look at my pool stats.

Well, that is the thing. The pool stats show low hash compared to what i see on the antminer webpage. Pool shows the hash jumping from 112 to 155 ish. But i never see anything close 180 gh.

But can somebody tell me what all those numbers mean?

Then you have a real problem.  Your pool stats should be looking something like this for 2 overclocked miners.

Well for sure they are not like that. Any ideas whats the problem here?

Your temps don't look right....might be the calibration on the interface or it might be giving you good data.

Is your fan spinning?  What is the ambient temperature?  What kind of PSU are your running?

anyone tried to run 4 of them on one LEPA 1600W?
---cut images----

I can barely get three of them to run non overclocked on a 1500W enermax split between 5 rails, but I'm sure they could push to the limit if I tried, my power constraints are at the ceiling now.

Wow!  That looks awesome!  How are you handling the heat?  and you haven't blown a circuit, yet?  I have 1 Ant (soon to be 2) and it takes some babying to get the full OC performance, but that 22GH/s additional is well worth it.

I have to reboot/restart the cgminer everyday, keep the high temp at 50C or lower or else I start geting xx's on the ASIC's, but the extra fractional btc's are worth it.  I also had to swap the heatshinks to the outside and I have fans that are coming from ebay.

Thanks to goxed, Bobs Yerunkle and dogie for the cooling and OC ideas.

Nice setup you have there. I would like to get 20 of these running. Getting an electrician in to get things ready first. Hopefully they drop in price even more in the mean time.
Hey is there any way to run like a bunch of these off something different than a psu?

They use 12V DC - so you need some power converter/supply. Server PSUs can provide lots of efficient 12V power for cheap. $5 for a 835W PSU, $10 of wire/solder/heatshrink, 30minutes of my time, and I have 835W over fat 14AWG cables meaning only one wire pair per blade

Discarded shares are simply stale shares. That means a block was found while your miner was working on a job for that block. Since it will no longer count toward that block, it gets discarded and the miner gets a new job from the pool to solve the new block.

How loud do these get?  I have a 50gh bfl and its pretty loud.  I heard some youtube videos but that dosent really do much.  I was going to change the fan out with a 19db cool master 100cfm and add a second to the rear sucking the heat out.  Since the fans are really quiet this should cut down on the sound.  Right?

I have an upgraded Jala and 4 block eruptors w/fan.  The Antminer, to me, is quieter than my initial set up.

just got my antminer, there sure is a lot of info to take in, i guess a lot of it can be ignored

just wondering if there are any options for selecting the active pool? or does it just follow the hierarchy selected under 'miner configuration'?

does it just do a simple failover from pool1 --->pool2----pool3 ?

or can you do tricks like load balancing between pools etc...

cant seem to find this anywhere...

thanks

Through the GUI you just get fail over as you described. I don't know what you might be able to do by editing config files in ssh.

Well i received mine and i am stunned how easy they are to setup and work perfect
No hassle just follow the easy todo setup guide
As usual wifi is slow Cheesy

Very easy to set up.  That's why i went hard wire.
