what's proper way to shut down since there is no power button?
Remove the Ethernet cable until the fans stop spinning then power down the PSU.
Where is the advance instead of just turn off the PSU?
It is not turbodiesel with turbine to cool off Smiley

+1. You can turn them off hot, its not like they will get hotter or anything.

however, i usually just unplug the ethernet, let it start beeping and wait a minute while the fan continues to cool down the heatsink a bit further. This is a bit overcool, and mostly  if i am moving the miner to a box or handling it in a way that it being 40C is not desirable

I do not need to turn off. It heats four of my rooms + a bathroom + stairs. LOL

Hello Bitmain my order from the morning of the 21st has still not been shipped, please can you tell me if there is a problem with this order. The order number is 00120140121093213377VKSJ12CH061B. I did send an email too but got no reply.

Regards Phill

Has anyone else ordered the same day and still not got shipping information as Im getting worried now as it seems people have ordered after me but have already had theirs shipped?

So after tinkering around a little, i found board 1 of my miner is under performing. It only runs around 60GH by itself instead of 90GH. I sent bitmain an email, hopefully i can get this replaced. Has anyone had a rma with bitmain before?

You will get this error is the board is not receiving enough power. Have you swapped your power leads around between the boards to see if the fault follows.

Evening All

I am not used to using cgminer as I currently use BFGminer.

Can someone walk me through overclocking the miner step by step using cgminer? I will overclock when the warranty is finished.

Much Appreciated!

PSA:

Please check behind the fan before setup.  The following unit was ordered on 1/20 and received 1/23:

I'm not posting this to complain, as I'm quite pleased with the price.  I just like to keep my gear in top shape.

Tried everything won't get past 150-160gh on that one with high HW errors. Can't overclock either, when i try it drops even lower to 100gh with a lot of the asics X'ing out.

From what I can see on your screen shot that is not really all that high as far as HW errors. I get more and I am sure others do to. It does feel wrong to me as I am used to scrypt and zero hw errors but apparently it is par for the course with sha256.

I had the same issue as you when I overclocked my machines. One would not go over 160. I think it might have been a heat issue as I moved it and I just rebooted it again and it went up to 200+.

I don't even pay attention to those stat screens anymore....just my pool stats.

Getting a ton of HW errors on this one. Tried overclocking to 400, just made it worse. Anyone else see this before?

Ya I have one too where the HW errors are through the roof but my pool stats says otherwise so I don't really care.

Ok all good, got both ants overclocked.

Next question. Is there anyway to make the extra fans I added to them stay on all the time. As it is now they keep coming on and off.

Yes. Type vi /etc/....

Vi comes on all Linux favors. No need to install.

Sorry, I am a bit lost here.

Do I just type 'vi /etc/config/asic-freq' into putty ?

Yes that should work. You can also do
cd /etc/config/
vi asic-freq

I am in , thanks. I needed to put a space between vi and /

Trying to get into one of my ants with putty . I am in but I am not sure how to navigate to the required file to alter the clock.

This is what happens when I do.

root@antMiner:~# /etc/config/asic-freq
-ash: /etc/config/asic-freq: Permission denied

What am I doing wrong ?

that's a config file, not en executable, you need to edit it in vi

vi /etc/config/asic-freq

make sure you have a vi cheat sheet up if you're unfamiliar.

Ok. How exactly would I go about doing that. Do I need to download vi ?

*edit: I see your edit. Will try, thanks
