Like most of you guys, i have tons of shitcoins in my wallets and trying to look at it from the bright site. I was wondering, what if there will be a market for collectable early shitcoins in the far future. I am talking about rare shitcoins that left some mark in the crypto world like most notorious exit scams or hacked coins or biggest pump and dump coins or first meme coins...
I wouldnt be surprised if we see a market for those in 20 years, at least that is how i cheer myself up when i see my wallets Cheesy
With the awesome idea of creating a token that ends up as Shitcoin, it's not uncommon to find investors interested in the idea. Shitcoin has a short lifespan and is only active in trading for a short time, after which it only exists on the market with Shitcoin status. I don't think the next 20 years will be revived by the team, because creating a new coin with a much better mission I think is wiser. i also have some dead token count and i leave as collection.

I also don't see any hope of the shitcoins that we have in the future the price will recover and give a big profit. Because like you said most shitcoins are
only for short term trading, because after that they will be abandoned by investors, even most shitcoins were abandoned by the team of developers
and became dead coins. I also choose to forget the shitcoins I have and leave them in my wallet. Because I'm more focused on finding good new projects
for investment.

IMO, I don't think shitcoins will become collectibles in the future because there are so many of them and you can't really put a value on them. Because we can easily construct tokens based on what we want, collecting shitcoins makes no sense. I believe that the most popular collectibles right now are NFTs, which makes sense and some of them can be used, such as NFT games and others.

It is uncertain, people will just move on and forget that we hold shitcoins as these coins have no use at all. You may consider this as collectible but never think that it gains attraction 20 years from now as no one will be able to think it either (maybe just only you).
Well, to have these coins is a part of our crypto life. But having this experience thought us something that crypto investment is risky and that is why we should be careful in choosing a coin to buy and certainly, we never have to rush but it needs searches.

In Cryptocurrencies there are often unexpected surprises, I also have some shitcoins in my personal wallet. I also hope that in the future the shitcoin that I hold will surprise me and give me big profits. However, looking at the progress of several shitcoin projects that I am currently holding, it seems that hope is very small.

I don't think shitcoins are still worth collecting because they don't have definite value anymore. They will just be a waste of time and effort because even after collecting them if their developers aren't active anymore, they still wouldn't have a good value in the future. I would prefer holding potential coins.

I think that there is no meaning in keeping these already-dead coins in our wallet. I wonder if there is a way to get rid of them forever. Because I have some in my a few wallets also. And I wonder why people insist on sending these useless coins to everyone. As the name implies, they are useless. I can't sell them or trade them for another cryptocurrency.
Shitcoins are just as good as trash coins. Their value are already dead so they should not be given priority anymore because it will only be a waste of time and money. How would a good investor normally think that they will be more valuable in the future? It might happen only when there is a good community who is going to support it. Even its own developers i think have abandoned them already.

Although OP's idea is somewhat encouraging but normal investors will definitely not agree on it. New potential coins will probably arise in the next 10 or 20 years.

I don't think this is realistic in any way, lol. How would such a market have to function? Selling privkeys to shitcoins? Selling HDDs with Core software on them and the blockchains downloaded?

99.9% of the shitcoins are going to fail badly. This means there will be no peers to download the blockchain from and there will be no possibility to receive or send. Shitcoins that have not failed are "collectibles" anyway since long-lasting coins make for a quite high probability of price increase (see DOGE). Other than this, there's no way currently to have a market for fossile shitcoins.

Lets have a real talk discussion here, shitcoins mostly depend on pump and dump only. But even the top altcoins in the market applied pump and
dump to their coins. In short, all altcoins are these method of pump and dump to their own coins in the market, not only for the shitcoins or meme coins. This was I had noticed here for a couple of years now in crypto space.

That's an unique idea but I don't think that it will ever work. But who knows if there will be some people in the future that would love to have a collection of those shitcoins.
Well, there's no lose for you anymore if you're going to keep that if it's already zero value.
yes the possibility is always there but shitcoin I think the possibility is very small.
coins like this are only for the short term and it is feared if left too long the coins will die and indeed if it is like that no one can revive coins like this and will forever be worthless.
although there are indeed some who are hit by the pump suddenly, but the chances are small and even almost rare.
it doesn't matter if the shitcoin is obtained from the airdrop / bounty, for example, it doesn't matter if you want to try.
but if you try to buy the coin I think it's just a waste of your time and assets.

how can shitcoin assets become collectibles? it is indeed a unique thought. we do not know what will happen in the future. but that will not happen in the crypto market.
shitcoin collectors will be very different from assets on the market with popularity and valuable value.
Everything can be collectible. In real world, there are people that are collecting the trash of others. And in crypto, these trash have no longer value so whether you sell it, you won't get anything on it.
That's why I think he has nothing to lose to just hold it and on his own collection purposes even it has no value.

Are you dreaming, what do you expect from a shitcoin that has no market value.?
Shitcoin will always be a collection of coins in the wallet, because it has no resale value at all. I also have tons of shitcoins that I got from bounty projects and airdrops in 2017, until now the coin has not had a sale value and I never thought that one day the shitcoin I had had a high selling value, because trash will never turn into gems.

I wouldnt be surprised if we see a market for those in 20 years, at least that is how i cheer myself up when i see my wallets Cheesy
Your hopes are too high my friend, if i may suggest, never fly too high, because if you fall it will hurt so bad.

This kind of shitcoins have not much chance in the future also. Because they are just useless from now on. They are the products of dead projects and there is no turning back from there I think. I don't believe that this kind of coins can be revived later. I also have some dead coins like this in my wallet and I don't care about them because of this reason.

The main thing is to attract investors and have sufficient demand for it. But like we see from NFTs, many strange things can be interesting for investors, so I will not be also surprised if we see such a market in the future. There can be crazy investors that would like to buy it. On the other hand, shit coins usually have extremely big circulating supply as opposed to NFTs that are unique.

I don't understand how a coin or token that is considered trash can then become a valuable coin in the future. But it's not impossible that one day someone will be willing to accommodate it in any way, even though it's not worth too much (I think only crazy rich people want to do this) Grin

Your strategy is unlikely to work. Shitcoins would only get value if they are revived and get a larger number of supporters. But why would anyone do that in the future for seriousness? Of course, it is possible that one or two shitcoins will be revived for fun in the future, but it is so easy today to fork a project and hype it with a few new feature changes than to raise a dead shitcoin project from the dead.
I'm also not aware of any shitcoin that was hyped in 2017 and then crashed having gained any noteworthy success in 2020/2021.

Well people are collecting all kinds of useless stuff. If crypto will get massively adopted, it wouldnt be surprising if people would like to get their hands on "vintage" coins.
I am not talking about a revived dead projects by developers, im talking about coins as collectables.

I still doubt that shitcoins can be considered one day as a collectible except if someone will succeed to collect the total supply of such a coin. Think about Doge as one of the most known shitcoin in the crypto market and has the greatest potential to become a successful collectible, but it has an inflationary supply shared between millions of users, do you think someone can take benefits from staking it for decades?
However, i still believe that dead projects can be revived, so better to not lose any of them in your portofolio. Who knows?

stuff like just wishful thinking to please yourself Smiley
because if you look at shitcoins everyone will agree that something like this will just end up being worthless.
and long term is not suitable for a coin like this considering the nature of shitcoin which is not good for the long term.
if you see it with imagination of course it's okay because everyone is free to do it Smiley, but you see shitcoin as an opportunity then you must immediately change your mindset from now on.
