I think it's okay for casinos to invest in endorsement but at the same time, it's tough to say because not all casinos are in the same position as Stake where they can easily afford to offer a contract to celebrities.
Also, Stake has so many popular people promoting their site aside from the celebrities there are streamers who are playing regularly. Casinos will advertise by any means available and essentially effective to bringing in revenue, nothing is more important then raising revenue and its just part of their cost. I imagine alot of sponsorship is relatively lower expense because of its recognition vs trying to sell a product to an audience who may never have heard of your company before. Connections via known entities is often more effective then a 'cold call' type sale.
If they have a budget they can pay celebrities to endorse them, celebrities will not endorse scams or casinos with a dubious status being endorsed by celebrities means the casinos are legit and with a good reputation in the community, every casino wants to be endorsed or wants celebrities to endorsed them it's just the cost is too high and they don't have a budget for this kind of promotions.

It depends on what the casino wants imo, it's not a matter of whether they should do it or not. Investing on celebrities is a completely optional thing, it doesn't really guarantee that they'd profit off of it even if they did, not to mention that in the perspective of most people (emphasis on most), being connected to gambling (when they weren't originally or well, known for being one) is a bad reputation. Drake was a well-known gambler beforehand so it isn't really a hit on his reputation, it's a win-win for stake and him.
If they can afford to pay a celebrity to endorse thier casino its already making a big step to success. Having a celebrity on the webpage of a casino is a big plus for its marketing. It's the same with ICO days where projects having a celebrity on thier side gets more funds. A project that Floyd Mayweather or John McAfee had endorsed made so many funds and investors tend to go send BTC. Ofc is didn't last well but it proved to be effective in marketing.

It's not that they should but if they can afford it, why not. There's a big impact if a celebrity will advertise a certain casino in terms of spreading awareness about it. We should not take that as an issue in the first place. A partnership is common between a site and a known celebrity.

aside from that, when stake took drake as their celebrity endorser, drake was already an active gambler on their site. it is not the case that they hire drake just to endorse the casino. they have their history already.

Stakes still have their other promotions so I think its fine to get celebrity endorsement as part of their marketing strategy, as long as they have the money to pay for them then why not. This can’t ruin the reputation of Stake, they are still offering quality service and if other casinos do the same thing, we can expect many people to adopt crypto gambling.
