I think that now it is possible to invest in altcoins if they are at low levels. It is still profitable to invest in ICO.
Although Bitcoin is the most expensive cryptocurrency, in most cases it is much more profitable to trade with altcoins. And here the best choice is to keep in your wallet at least 8-10 alts to make operations with all of them when the right time for each one comes. This is my opinion.
Finding good ICOs are very difficult. There are so many factors to look before investing on an ico. Such as team, idea, token metrics,real world usecase, soft cap and hardcap... But a god ico can give you extra ordinary profit like 100x
I prefered in ico you can get a big income in here then btc you can go to altcoin too but much better is ico so you should invest in ICO thats all and hold

Everyone should choose the most convenient strategy. But in my opinion, the maximum profit can be given only by ICO. And it is best to choose an ICO-blockchain.
Don't be confused about those. Doing that what you know ans sure to be good. It is about knowledge that you have. If you can analyze ICO project buying ICO is better.

I will tell by my example. I am now focused on investing in good, reliable altcoyins. I consider various options. The main thing is not the cost, but the prospect. And 2019 will show what to do next.
Investing on ico is not profitable anymore or should i say for this year only most of ico coins are on 50% loss but still holding until market will recover
if you want a quick profit but with very high risk, maybe you can choose bitcoin, if you want to play with ease, you can choose altcoin, and ico for long term investment
Isn't now the best period to invest in altcoins? I think the market value drop really is the season for a user to get a hold of many coins while their values are very low. In this way, you have more potential to gain maximum profit. You should invest in crypto in either BTC or ALTS because I really believe that crypto is the future of our finance movement.

So, if you want to go the ICO route, I would do your due dilligence like you normally would.
And after you decide on one you want to invest in, just wait.
Wait until it gets released to an exchange and you will be able to buy in at a cheaper price than the ico.

You can invest if you want to get an investment experience. However, we need to remember that there is a risk to invest. The risk of falling prices is the biggest risk in investment.
I think this term is suitable to make some investments in some promising altcoins and bitcoin. In my opinion, ICO investments were always risky, and now, I don't think this risk is lower.
