I don't have much experience in investing to the ICO. I invested just for a couple but even my experience says that this is not a good way for newbie. I invested only for "strong" and "legal" ICO like savedriod and I'm still waiting for the exchange and other coins now costs lower than on ICO, so maybe it would be better if you will buy coin after ICO or just buy BTC or ETH. That's a good start I guess.
It is up to you, the more you risk, the more profitable you will be. I like to invest in Buddy's ICO, and I think this is a good risk because Buddy is a good project

In my opinion its better to invest in Bitcoin because it can bring you a lot of profit and can gives you lots of money. Also the good thing about to this coin once you invest to it you will never feel unsafe because bitcoin is one of the crypto that have secured ability than other crypto. You know that invest to Bitcoin is very worth it because you know that your investment is secured and you know that you never got scam and or lose money. 
Everything depends on your strategy, risk averse, funds size. You should take into account that investing in ICO is the most risky ones, and the less risky is bitcoin and top 10 coins.

should be careful if you want to invest in ico because now many ico ending with scam even though ico it looks good but it is not a guarantee that ico will not be scam, but if it still wants to invest in ico, before participating should check whitepaper and the management team behind the ico, because both of these are the most important things in an ico

Some ICOs are safer to invest on them while some are not safe. The only thing you need to do is to make your own research before investing on any project. But in terms of BTC, that s a nice investment.

Im just new here in forum, only 1 year I believe but I see all the possible way to make profit in cryptoworld. Like mining, trading , gambling and investing to ico.
This are the good ways to make profit in cryptoworld. But ofcoursw investing to btc and altcoin is still profitable since market now is continously growing up .
It is best to try all and find suitable solution for yourself. If you are going to invest in altcoins or ICO's you have to learn a lot about projects that you are investing in.
Study and research are the best way before investing at any business. In crypto safest way is bitcoin it possess minimal risk but only good for longterm investment. While ICOs if your in good project its easy and faster way. If you ask me,I would recommend you to refrain from investing in ICOs as most ICOs are scam nowadays .You can invest in bitcoin or other altcoins that you find good to invest.We saw some changes in btc price last few days and it could be a positive sign for the market.Could be beneficial for you if you took the chance now.If you are interested investing in Icos then do a complete research on the project you gonna invest in.And always do your own research before you make any.
I think that many ICOs will die this year, so investing in ICO is not a good choice because the risks are very high.
