If you want great results quickly and maybe you could try ripple for investment, but of course it gives a quick profit and they can also be falling rapidly.
I think both coins are good, and my suggestion is better you divide your capital into 2, to buy ripple and ETH
I have only ETH in my portfolio. Ripple can grow well, but there are certainly more risks. In my portfolio, there are many other, also risky and promising coins.
Invest in both of them with 70:30 split, 70 for eth since its better than ripple. But it is your choices, maybe you split up to 50:50 then its okay. Eth has a very high growth and predicted would be higher in 2018. Its the opportunity to collect some ETH.
ETH also has a remarkable growth year and has made some progress. $ 1000 in January proves that. Meanwhile, RIPPLe is considered as a potential and promising by professionals. However, it may take a bit of maturity and improvement from RIPPLE. They are promising to be the next generation to follow the ETH step. At least that's my thinking.

Ripple is very weird coin to invest. But anyways its potential profit range is even greater than ethereum. Its lot more risky so lot more rewarding. You should decide your purpose beforehand to do anything. Long for eth, short for ripple may be nice.
in terms of investment, I believe that it is better than the etherium. By xrp, the ratio of the crypto community is generally negative. In fact, this is a centralized project. And the price of a coin is extremely susceptible to manipulation. For speculation, yes it's a good coin. But I would not invest in a long line
ofcourse invest in ethereum. ripple is a very risky coin. a price may decrease and it can hurt you a lot. then you need to wait a very long time for the price to rise.

If you want to invest in coins then, of course, select the ethereum will be much better and very have great results because of the ethereum including coins that can match his bitcoin in the future.
Much prefer to go with ETH now. Ethereum is super active and promising, the dev behind of ethereum still working for the project. There are many now using ethereum specially the smart contracts. Everyday ethereum is growing.

Why do you need a ripple, put it on ethereum, especially since the founder has already voiced so many speculations that he will believe anyone by virtue of this coin. Good decision both are stable and popular coin,Invest for long term ripple is hope now its cheaper more expectations from ripple so invest with courage and hold with patience will maximize the profit in future.
Although the ripple is very good but with me investing in Etherum is safer and much more effective. I'm trying to keep a lot of Etherum to invest in ICO projects, and I also want to keep the Etherum because I trust the management team and their professional way of working with Vitalik. Etherum is having wonderful days that you can not ignore.

You need to pick the coin based on how long your investment will be,if you are a long term investor definitely go for the ethereum because Ripple price bump looks temporary and it will hardly fall soon.As you said ethereum price is very stable over the past so the risk is less when compared to ripple investments.

Because the choice is etherium or ripple so although for short or long term, choose etherium will be the best idea because its more potential than ripple.
Etherium will boom soon or later because we know its popularity among community.

Ethereum is great compare to ripple and I think investing on it will become more profitable this year compare to ripple but if you enough money to use for try to hold this both coin, I think it can also give you the profit you ever wanted.
It's your choice if you want to invest your money to ripple or ethereum. Because for me the best way to invest your money is to ripple or etherereum because this two coin for sure will increase the price more.
Ethereum is the the best in my opinion, yes ripple can give great profits but it has a relationship with banks that it is too direct and that is not something that I can simply ignore, that is why despite the fact that is the third coin in market cap I have never held any ripple and to be honest I do not have any intention to do so, however investing in EHT is not going to give the best returns it is time to look for other coins that can give better profits.

I'm more happy with Ethereum, it's true that Ripples more fluctuating so it can make a profit in less time. But i am more optimistic to hold ETH, more calm.
Invest in Ripples, but keep also ETH with you maybe you want to have some coin or another type of coins you may want to buy while holding, most ICOs accepting ETH as payment today. And Ripple is now supported by banks, of course, ETH also but now that banks are supporting ripple is had now the change to go big boom.
