It's good to diversify on last major market dump when Bitcoin dropped below $50K, I sold a portion of my bags ADA, and few other alts not doing too good and until now i'm satisfied. Bought back already some major alt and buying back every day some ADAs as well as these are my good solid bags. Since you have low amount, it would better stay with ADA.

At the moment ADA has recovered successfully, I would not think of selling because although it had a drop last week when the price of BTC rose a bit, ADA had a sustained recovery, I think that while there is an eventual and latent season of altcoins at least ADA should not be sold, this short-term analysis can give us an idea:

Quote
Cardano (ADA) has been sustaining above the 20-day EMA ($1.27) for the past few days, suggesting the bulls are in no hurry to book profits. The altcoin remains on track to resume the up-move and reach the $1.48 to $1.55 resistance zone.

I think that many will expect the price of ADA at approximately 2usd, it is speculated that when it reaches that price many will sell.

If you have as much as $ 100 in funds, you should choose a coin with a lower price such as BNB, or a coin that has the potential to carry it. Personally, I might prefer ADA to holding bitcoins if I had such an amount of money. it's because the amount I have is more, so the potential to increase is also quite large. other than that, BNB is also a good choice considering that bitcoin and ETH have very large fees at the moment. after all, it is the advice I give, and the decision is yours.
100 dollars is an amount of money so low that the OP cannot really do anything with it, if he wanted to move those coins on the bitcoin or ethereum network he will lose 10% of his coins just on that, if the OP wants to do something with that money then he will need to find a coin outside of the top 100 that has its own blockchain and try his luck there otherwise the fees alone are going to be enough to make him lose most of his capital relatively quickly.

What are you joking? At loss seems unnecessary unless you know bitcoin will pump its price 10x after you sell it,maybe a good idea.. But  without any idea its like you're jumping in the building especially when you put your money to bitcoin and it collapse   lm. For sure your dead.. Lol.. Dont be greedy bro be practical as long as you see the coin still alive there's always a potential to regain your losses.. Dont lose hope..

The truth ADA lately has had a great growth, not only from the speculative point of view of the market, it is very accepted in casinos and bookmakers, it is also having much more exposure on the African continent, for this reason it will always be tentative sell ADA to buy BTC and not miss the movements of BTC, if ADA grows more in price obviously it will be a gold mine, and it may have more growth for now that the dominance of btc has dropped and if the altcoin season is already developing , ADA will shine, on the African continent ADA is gaining a lot of ground:

Following the recent trend, some independent analysts believe the vibrant altcoin which currently holds 2% of the entire crypto market has chosen a sustainable path and is capable of rising above the ashes of bearish runs to smash the $10 mark before the end of 2021.

When seeing a growth of this style it is better to wait a little to see how much the currency grows and when it has grown enough if you want it is exchanged for BTC.

If you are an active trader, maybe you should follow all the movements that occur, either down or up. But if you don't want to experience losses from the purchase you do, you should just wait until you really really sell it

I see ADA have raise to higher price right now and its the best way for you keep holding and never try to cut loss or buy other coin, I think you need waiting few weeks later and believe ADA move above $2 or more. I see many potential for growing up on this coin and depend how many time bitcoin keep raise to higher price.

In my opinion, bitcoin is still best to be bought at around 50 - 54k since its showing huge resistance at 50k. You can buy bitcoin at dips and can take short term positions and earn profit.
Chances are that bitcoin may cross 60k in near future, though anything can happen in crypto market.

Anything can happened and it's not ours to accurately expect the next market movement. It's all about how you personally understand the coin that you invested your money, without that knowledge the next thing that will happen to you is to move blindly,

All things here inside the market are about how you manage to gather information, ADA is one of those projected project that have potentials, it's only time that will reveal whether this coins will success or not.

Take your time and assess more deeper if you are still undecided what you should do next.

I don't know if the OP data still holds ADA or not, but I just want to suggest you if you have a chance, get your capital back with itself and move on to find out what coins are in the school. I think ADA is not the prefix that will be of a power boost in this field, as what they can come up with makes me distrust the ecosystem and its value.
Not would be included on the power boost? Try to look its price on how it did make some gains on the last 24 hours? https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/cardano/

You can actually make out some short term trades with these movements and i dont see for this project to be a shit just like on most projects in the market which had been
pumped even though it isnt really that good after all.

For the decision of selling out some coins for buying out Bitcoin isnt really a bad idea at all but its your take on what are the decisions you would make.

I have some ADS too and though it might not be as big as what others got, still I also find it a little bit discouraging to see the dip of the value a lot of times, especially when others are making a good pump. While other coins/tokens are pumping, ADA became stationary and yet when others got dumped ADA was doing the same thing. Yet, at the back of my mind, I am thinking that maybe there can be a time soon that ADA will be making that one big run. Is it coming? Nobody knows but maybe.

Don't sell ADA, just keep it until such time it would go further and reach a greater value. For now it's just not doing well, but in the future there could be a great potential that might exist.
Sometimes we just need more patience than rushing out for expectations, so learn it eventually rather than having a weak hands.

I don't know how to think about it, but I find it funny that the OP is hoping for a sum of $100. Let's start with a worthy number to get serious advice, I personally although not a lot of money, but I never intend to invest such a small amount in anyone is a market. Redefine what it means to invest and what gambling is, if you say your assets only allow you to start with $100 then sorry I can't give advice to an over-calculated person. With a single money it is not going to help much in the present life.
I see it from a different angle:
The OP can still be said to be a newcomer to this forum and the crypto market, so he must be able to adjust to the atmosphere in the market.
As a newcomer is starting trading with an initial capital of $100 is good enough, means he has the will learn how to trade in the crypto market.
Whatever we do need a process buddy. Likewise, when you have first got to know cryptocurrency, everything started from ZERO.
It doesn't make sense for someone who is new to cryptocurrency to immediately trade with a large amount of money because it is very risky for him, unless it is done by a professional trader it is very normal.

I actually agree with you. I have learned a lot since the last time I posted in this thread. And I am still learning more and more about the crypto market and all the markets in general. So I have decided not to sell my ADA, even though am a new trader I actually realize how volatile the market can be so I decided instead of actively trading and looking at the market and charts am just gonna leave my money as is in the exchange and am gonna HODL long term. While I am at it am gonna dollar-cost-average by adding a few capital every 2 months. And during this time am gonna be learning more and more about the markets and the technical and fundamental aspects of it. And after a few months/years when I feel confident enough to start actively trading and use more capital am gonna hope in. For the time been am just gonna enjoy the markets going up and down and my lil cute 100$ going with them. Also to note I entered the market fully knowing the risks and that I might lose my money so its not a big deal. Good luck to everyone and thank you all for your opinions and advices.

At this time, the ADA team is about to comply with what they had planned 5 years ago, including smart contracts, although the Bitcoin market is having a rapid recovery, it is likely that while some altcoins are growing in price begin to stagnate as the bullish trend recovers, it is a great time to buy in the fall, but when checking that ADA characteristics improve even more, it draws more attention from investors.

Quote

“2021 is kind of our overflow year, where we’re pulling together and turning on all the things we dreamed of over the last five years. That includes things like our governance stack, smart contracts, our metadata standard, token issuance, full decentralization. We’ve hit almost all our goals: we’ve done metadata, we now have a native token. There are more than 10,000 tokens issued on Cardano in just a month, which is mind-blowing.”

I think that it is not a good time to exit ADA even if it drops in price, since as these characteristics are integrated, it will be possible to have a good price rebound.

A few days ago I had 100$ in my portfolio that I got from mining some Ethereum. Without much thinking I bought 66$ worth of bitcoin when BTC was selling for 60K. I also bought some ADA Cardano with the remaining 33$. Now both bitcoin and ADA prices have dipped significantly. I was wondering should I sell my ADA for the loss of 1-2$ in order to catch more gains in the next Bitcoin bull run?. Or should I hold both of them. To me holding 30 bucks worth of ADA isnt that good in the long run. I am planning on investing larger amounts in ADA  as I honestly believe in their project, once I get hold of things and establish a decent portfolio. Am new to trading and am still learning the technical and fundamental aspects of things. Any advice is appreciated!.
My first advice is that your capital is too small to diversify, pick a coin and stick with it, personally I would have invested everything in bitcoin but there is nothing wrong to invest in an altcoin that is recognized by the community, just be careful, the volatility of the bitcoin market is already very high and altcoins suffer and even higher volatility which means that one day you could be making great profits and suddenly out of nowhere you are losing money and you have no idea why all of this is happening to you.

If i had only $100, i would definitely go for low/mid caps with good fundamentals to have more growth space, and stay away from ADA for example which is already overpriced imho. But then again i might be biased because i don't like really like ADA or their approach.

100$ capital to be vested for Bitcoin? that's not appropriate for my part mate instead best to at least invest in altcoin to have more chances of gaining higher because Bitcoin is now on its peak and putting small amount as capital will bring you nothing but Peanut profit.

If you have to sell it, wait for the 29th of April because ADA will have some event in Africa which I think can make the price spike high. I think its about time to buy some more. And you can sell later when the price is about to dip again. Just hope the BTC won't also spike tomorrow otherwise it won't be worth it.

News is that ADA as so they say that got a contract from the Ethiopian Government and thousands of school will be using ADA blockchain.
