That's where I am confused why people are thinking that way. Bitcoin was low, and it got high, and it is stable now, WHY do you think it will go up even more?

Why not? Why anything?

Unless you have desperate financial need you're better off staying put and seeing what happens. So far those who do so have been richly rewarded, though they were certainly made to work for it.

I choose to have faith in the idea and its future. If I hadn't I'd be long gone and probably consumed with bitterness like so many others.

The people on here who are most vocal about their price predictions and the timing they announce almost always balls them up and go down in flames with them.

Today, bitcoin has reached unexpected levels. More precisely, it reached them unexpectedly quickly. Those investors who bought bitcoin at low prices recently are most likely now very tempted to take profits. Perhaps this will put temporary pressure on the price. As for traders, I see that most of them are in the long.

Don't sell your bitcoin because we can see the price of the bitcoin rise not decrease at 3k dollars don't heard to the false news .

They only do that because maybe they want the bitcoin dump very huge or they are supported by the other coins so they are doing to spread not true information.

I really like what is happening to the bitcoin now and maybe next month will see again 10k dollars.

just HOLD...
Halving day soon, even though the price of Bitcoin will go down, it will definitely go back up fast, I will not sell my Bitcoin even though many say the price will drop to $ 3k.

That's where I am confused why people are thinking that way. Bitcoin was low, and it got high, and it is stable now, WHY do you think it will go up even more? I am not saying it won't but there are so many people who miss out when the price bottoms and then comes back and buys when the price goes up, inevitably that price drops again because it was spiked and it is normal for a price that went up so much to fall a bit, and they end up losing money and start calling bitcoin dead again instead of buying more when it drops.

I am sorry but if you are thinking about buying bitcoin right now, you have to realize there is a big chance it could drop in price, not saying it will but there is a big chance, you should buy it when the price bottoms up, not when it increases like crazy.
Nah, its a common mistake on most people which is normal for a very unpredictable market where we do always ask or trying to figure out on whats actually he possible bottom price. We have thought that this might be the bottom but actually this is already the peak price for this particular time and when the time comes where price do moves then its a sure loss if it do goes opposite on the time we do purchase it.
Its a matter of choice and some sort of luck and intuition because selling out or buying out on the right time is not really an easy thing but you can actually make a shot.

Bitcoin price might still go up in the coming days so no need to hurry selling your bitcoin. Believe me bitcoin will be in a great demand this year , price may surge anytime soon.

The btc price has being quite stable or on upside only if compare din the last two weeks during this bad market which is a very good sign as resistance in market exists and people are buying it and not selling much. So I feel in coming time market will continue to be on upside considering the world market has shatters and would continue due to recession and crypto may outperform in this scenario.

The risks during this pandemic period are huge for all financial sectors and the cryptocurrency market is no exception, of course many bad predictions will appear. However, after falling in shock last month, bitcoin appears to have stabilized. In my personal opinion, you shouldn't sell now.

I will not advise selling or buying bitcoin, but I think it would be wise to make some sort of diversification of investments - as you correctly noticed, no asset can guarantee the safety of funds now. Therefore, if all my funds were in one asset, then I would undoubtedly sell part to protect myself from losing all funds in the event of a fall of one asset.

I actually think otherwise, I predict the price of bitcoin seems to be going down to $ 7500, if hold in this level means Bullish still dominates,
if it falls deeper then the Bearish comes, why? because it's been liquidated several times for short

i was late last month to sell my holdings because when i woke up the price falls already to negative 30% so i did not bother my self to risk selling it is sad because the fall only happens in 12 hours before we knew it the market already falls low.

what i am looking now is to buy again and this time i will not resist the chance if given again.

There is a slight chance of bitcoin reducing in price but I don't think it will sink that low so I would say rather buy more if you have than selling the little you have. Because you just don't know when the price is going to take of with a short bull run you know. It can happen so fast you might not be able to ride with it. So stay in the boat and wait for the climax of bitcoin halving.
The price went down when the corona virus crisis reached an important point but since then the price has been recovering every day and the halving is now very close, which I think has been a huge factor to see such a fast recovery, however I doubt we are going to see the bull run everyone is expecting since the economy is not in a very good shape and it will not be in a very long time, but at the same time we cannot exclude the possibility the price goes down once more if people panic once again.

I do not think it depends on how deep you are in bitcoin but how much of your money that you invested and how much of it do you need right now. I understand traders and their anxiety about constantly buying and selling, never really see myself ever doing that however I get it, people want to make 100%+ profits with it, however bitcoin constantly goes up if you look at it in longer terms so I am fine.

This comes to the resolution, if you do need money and have to get out, by all means take out your money and use it for whatever you need it for, however if you do not really need the money and all you are asking if you should sell in order to buy lower, I do not think that is a smart move, you should keep it in and wait for it as long as you can afford to wait, until you retire if you can.

Everyone is telling that bitcoin is going to 3K. Every news and notifications points that the trend is going towards 3K.
Bitmex CEO is twitting he believes bitcoin could go even as low as 2100, so would it be better to sell my bitcoin now and buy for 50% cheaper?
Seems like everybody are trying their best to decrease the price, it might be better to move with the herd?
Remember that its just a prediction of bitmex ceo and it has no concrete basis so dont easily believe others prediction. Its best to have your own analysis to understand the possible movement of the market. The price of bitcoin can go lower or higher, no one exactly knows because anything can happen. For now follow your instinct, if you think its time to sell then do it already as long as you already made profit. As for me I will wait until I see a significant growth even it takes longer.
Expect for speculations to fly around since this had been happening from the beginning because this market is always been unpredictable.
You can eventually make up some basis on other analysis and also you can pinpoint on which one is realistic and which one isnt.
Ive been seeing 1M/btc prediction flying around which is totally unrealistic to consider.

Selling out your coin would always depend on your will and as long you do gain then it wont be bad to sell out some unless if youre a hodler.

Agree. Just one of the many predictions that I think will not happen.  Tongue I believe he has underlying motives why he is stating that. We are still in the pandemic situation, yet, we are enjoying more than $6k btc price. So if I were you, believe your own instincts and follow it. He is just also a regular person trying to make a statement towards bitcoin.

my opinion selling at $ 8000 is very appropriate, it is strong resistance in my opinion, usually if before the Halving price will experience an Uptrend, just like BCH, BTG and BCD, I'm sure BTC will also experience it.
If you are buying it early this month or during the price sunk into less than $4k, it is a perfect time for me to sell. But to think that the market will continue to move as the halving comes closer, it is better to sell half of it and hold the other's half. Or have to buy it into potential altcoins that are still at a low price.
We are moving back to closely to $8k, and the growth will simply indicate that during halving the price will be higher. But of course, we can't be confident enough about the trend because we know how volatile we are and could be any time to drops.

see the price so quickly reached the price of $ 7500, and now you are still thinking of selling assets? Well, that seems like a bad move. at this time, I chose to hold back. if the price can go up to $ 7500 in a short time, I think the price can also go up to the level of $ 8000 in a short time.
For you to Know mate this thread was created 2 weeks ago and Bitcoin that time is still in this struggling situation so don't speak as if the question was given this Moment.and also Don't rely on the price of Bitcoin that pumping today because we are experiencing this since mid of march but yet we cannot even jump up to $8,000 and also OP is asking about the possible Dump down to $3000 level in which at some point might happen if this Corona Virus continues to spread the world.
I know buddy. but, I think that 2 weeks is not a long time to wait. this is just a suggestion to not easily panic by seeing a rapid decline. however, if he had sold it 2 weeks ago, wouldn't he have missed his opportunity this time? because of this, I say that selling when falling prices is not a wise move. in addition, since halving will occur, I am pretty sure the price of $ 8k will be achieved.

If you know, at least 2 weeks ago on the date when this thread was made the price was in the range of 6.8k-6.9k and currently, the price has risen to 7.5k and I think this could be a strategy in your trading, because within 2 week at least you can get profit now and also, approaching halving and bad situation because of the pandemic, I'm not sure 8k will be achieved in the near future because the correction will definitely happen again.
