Common wisdom for new investors is always of the 'don't put all your eggs in one basket' type. Don't invest all your investment capital in one company. Diversify so that at least if  one investment fails, the other will carry you through. Is there a similar type of advice for crypto currency investors? Is it better to concentrate on investment in just one crypto currency? Or should we diversify? I would love to know what others have to say about this.

It depends on one's financial capability. The reason why most investors advice everyone to diversify investment is to assure that you will not lose all your funds just in case the market value drops. We all know that cryptocurrency market is volatile and the prices can change in just a snap. It is risky to put all your money in just one investment.

When you have enough money, diversified investments can reduce trading risk because you won't go bankrupt because of a single cryptocurrency cut!

This rule is common for all money-making strategies. There are so much unpredictable things that can happen with crypto that it would be super silly "to put everything in one basket".
