There's still a faint probability that the alleged rogue new ex employee (mateo) knows the server seed and gerrymanl is/are just too stupid to be insulted because they didn't halt betting/investing/withdrawing.

Or manl is gerry is mateo.

Or ... I don't know much about cryptography but... maybe one doesn't need to know the *exact* server seed, after all rolls are not random, they just have an unknown componant. Any docs about stochastic approaches ?

Aha, I now see why you're still in denial and trying to think of far-fetched theories that DiceBitco.in operators aren't scamming right this second with an automated betting bot.

I hope you've divested and withdrawn (if you still can)..

I withdrew this morning while site profit was still at +160 (a distant memory).  I think there's something weird going on and have my own beliefs, but rather than outright accuse the site owners of cheating I'm reserving my decision until they've had a chance to respond.  In earlier posts I stated my belief that it was a mistake to bring the site back online so quickly and allow betting.  The site's owners have their own reasons for that.

Vires in numeris.
you should look at this from the bright side, DB broke few records today

over 40,000BTC wagered in one day

1.5M BTC were wagered on Sep 29 on JD last year, mostly by a 12h sprint of nakowa. See https://just-dice.com/wagered.txt.

Well, I'm pretty sure that this now has turned into a scam (yes TF, you were right). OP doesn't respond on this topic anymore, chat is disabled and someone is draining the site, this is just way and way to fishy.

My concern is that after investing for over three weeks, and seeing the site profit more than triple during that time, my investment lost 4.5%.  For whatever reason the investment just didn't work for me even when the site was very profitable.

What I suspect happens is something like this:

1. Profit goes up
2. DB take commission.  Reduces personal profit.
3. Players then get lucky and profit dips, pushing personal investment profit negative

Rinse, repeat.  The other problem is investors really should keep plowing more money into the bankroll otherwise their investment gets diluted by other investors.

I lost the liqour money boys...
Only nearly 500 BTC up flat betting.

Do roll simulations. Chance of this being real betting are less than 1 in a million.

mateo beats maths.

JUST REGULAR VARIANCE GUYS. NOTHING TO SEE HERE.

MANL AND GERRY NOWHERE TO BE SEEN.

Now he suddenly started betting with 0.5 BTC.. Huh

Very close to maximum betting allowed.
Ah I see, forgot about that. Makes sense, for as far as all this happening can actually make sense.

Seriously cluster2k, what's with your denial of a sudden whale coming and being the only one betting on a site that has proven to rig rolls before, have a constantly declining invested sum and max edge, plus with the ability to look up bets of other users arbitrary disabled so we cannot look at the nonce and how often they change their client seed?

There's really no logical explanation for anyone betting here. You're currently in denial.

oh.. one last thing, i swear i will get my coins back... doesn't matter if it's in bitcoin or in blood. good luck guys. remember my word when you go around spending my money.

While people are understandably angry at the situation, or possibly amused (depending if you have money missing or not, or if you were cheated), I think we should be careful about threatening violence against any other person.

Well, this is about millions of dollars in worth. Of course people gets upset.
People get killed by these amounts.

If it's the owners who are behind the "draining" of the BR.. they deserve to die in a hellfire.

Its not about millions.

Thousands of coins were moved from cold to hot wallets yesterday for people to withdraw. Over 6000 were taken out. Right now were looking at 1500ish coins I believe. Less than a million with todays BTC price.

Sorry, didn't know that the majority of the investors got their coins back.

That is the more plausible scenario, although it relies on backdoors being present on the site or someone knowing some other vulnerability.  Given how quickly DB was audited, fixed and tested, I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case.

No it doesn't? It relies on dicebitco.in operators being mateo.. Tongue
