It was trading at 40 satoshi when he posted this, so it's still more than 4x.
That’s nice. This coin has a real potential of returning investment in huge amounts and the 4x means that it has risen very speedily. This altcoin is not wastage of money. I would like to invest into this to have a great future. I am soon going to invest a big amount into this coin soon.

I have got some SC but I'm too afraid to use them as collateral, I'm afraid that I might lose them because of something going wrong on my end, even if

It wasn't about the collateral I have some trouble finding someone willing to pay enough coins to compensate for my use of resources, given the high costs

Of resources for me to use, I'd never earn anything with this because someone else could easily compete and defeat me with no problems at all.

Sold half of my sia coins the other day to buy others that yield quicker returns. I've been hodling short of a million for a over 8 months, bought when it was at like 29. So still made quite a nice profit over my initial purchase.

I believe this is a coin to hold and forget about for a few years, which is what I'll do with what's left.

I trusted and invested in SC. And now my account is only half. The current price of 170 satoshi. Wait and hope.

I've just about given up on sia at the moment. If it climbs, it climbs. Just not worth the heart anymore

That is fine move feel free to sell and move on. Anyway you should never put all your hope in one coin, but spread it out over 7+ coins. It is more fun that way and hopefully one will surprise you. I would recommend you keep 10% of your current SC coins invested in SC ... in 3 -  5 years you will be probably be happy you did.

I think it will finally somewhat have epicmoon as lot of people buy and hold on. But it is gonna be flattened in very short time. Looks like every buyer is thinking about selling.

This is a long term complex project with the ambitious goal, of being the cloud storage protocol layer on the blockchain. Those who sell now will cry in a few years. The price got way to ahead of itself in the spring. Hopefully we will see a gradual rise from here out.

Bought SIA at 169 sats yesterday. Is there any chance it will go beyond 250 sats by the end of August? Any good update/news coming in?

I have been holding SC for a while and have almost given up on it entirely. I would not expect a quick flip on SC. Certainly not in 8 days. SC has been real stagnant lately.

guys your think now?  sia moon? iam buy 320satoshi. Huh Huh maybe x2

As the other guy said, Sia will not go high soon. They had a lot of announcements in the past month. Wait until near the end of August.
That, to me at least, sounds like soon. Why do some people always expect it to be some sort of instant gratification.

I think the best strategy by far is to find good projects and invest in them for the long haul.
Agree? Disagree?

Absolutely agree -- BUT, that is easier said than done.
Well, just make it a game of collecting good investments. And keep investing in them. Gamefy it Cheesy

I think the best strategy by far is to find good projects and invest in them for the long haul.
Agree? Disagree?

Agree. In my opinion, there are about max 20 projects in cryptoworld, which are longterm trustable, because they had a proper development in the last years and a tough and strong dev-team behind. Sia is one of them. I trust them with my eyes closed. Doesn't mean, that I don't look out for a project, which can compete and outstrip Sia - because this could be always a good reason, that a formerly good coin will be kicked out of the race - but: If the development will go on further like in the last years, Sia is good for midterm to longterm holding at least. Less risky than a lot of other coins.

What I think Siacoin is doing well is making a 'moat' around its business. Making any competitors harder to pull it off its almost inevitable throne in the future.

I don't personally agree with the Sia devs but they explained their reasons as to why they felt ASIC mining was the best for network security. So we will see how it works out. Overall Sia is the best of the decentralized cloud storage. I'm going to hold it long term and see where it goes.

And network security is their strong selling point. Only logical that they would be trying to make it as strong as possible.

But with the new altcoin just starting growth as Siacoin, why need Asic mining very soon as at now? We also know Asic with altcoin is death time and the value of this coin after this happens will stand still in long time or falldown.

The ASICs are to protect the network and make mining fair and decentralized. (This is a discussed a couple places, give 'er a Google Smiley)

Will SIA get a new wallet any time soon? The current one really sucks balls.

How do you suggest it to not suck balls? Tongue

Agree with that, the whole user experience is not so good and should be updated. A Sync Folder for the files would be nice, too.
