I've just sent $60 with <$1 fee (very high priority) and got confirmed after <10minutes; is that expensive?

I've sent a $200 in BTC last month with the same fee and also got confirmed after the next block.
How's that possible?
I'm only using one input each for these transactions;
because during low mempool times, I'm consolidating all my small inputs and change when 1sat/byte fee is possible.
Always refer to the link's last page for the signal if it's possible to consolidate as cheap as possible.
But go on, you have the right to choose which coin to use, this is just an advice.

I used to be in the bitcoin core crowd but after still paying ridiculous fees recently Ive moved over to bch and SV, I Guess this is kind of a rant, but I dont understand who the hell wants to pay high fees to send money to someone.
I think some people don't mind to pay high fees to the network because the amount of withdrawing they made will bigger than the fee itself. Besides that, I think with the higher fee of the transaction, it will get confirmed in a short time and we don't have to wait for long or even days. But it depends on every people who want to use other coins, and we cannot force them to use bitcoin only.
Be completely honest: Have you actually tried transacting recently? This is likely just one of those posts complaining about the fees even though the person complaining hasn't even tried transacting.
Even though the mempool has been a bit congested since the past few weeks, the fees are still A LOT lower than it used to, assuming you're actually using a SegWit address. There's no reason for you not to do so.

Get used to it and thats the main problem with Btc when the entire network is congested when the price tends to rally.So having another altcoin as an option isnt bad afterall.
