Yes there are plenty of resources that you can read so you can understand different altcoins and its significant. You can use the ICO review and rating websites and also you can try to check binance academy for some important concepts in cryptos. You can also watch plenty of videos in youtube for further knowledge.

the many projects offer interesting and different solutions for this reason the first thing to do is to search through the main sites that can be coinmarketcap and coingecko where you will find an overview of all the altcoins present.
You can also stay informed about the news and trends on Cointelegraph.
That is if the project and news are in coinmarketcap and coingecko and cointelegraph, now if the project has no data on the three sites how can someone analyze it? because through the project website itself, the discussion will not be complete.

you can also learn from youtube, wikipedia and the official website of the coins which you have chosen. The internets has provided a vast of information and thus, you are never behind. Bitcointalk is also a big place for crypto enthusiasts who willing to give you answer for your cynical and ignorant. Do not scare to ask for help in this place. I was once and always will be ignorant
Good luck on your cryptocurrency discovering journey

you mean this link https://coinmarketcap.com/alexandria/ . theres a problem in your link , it only redirects to cmc . alexandria is more on the basic side of crypto but i cant seem to find what op is asking but thats why you provide other alternatives like youtube and wiki . youtube is on the go and great because your watching the info but on wiki , i heard it wasnt that good because the info's on here can be edited by someone else but most important of all is of course bitcointalk .

To become a realy popular altcoins need to be useful for people, it must have a lot of liquidity and a big ecosystem of users.
Altcoin must be in demand. Also it must be simple to buy and sell altcoin.
It is good that now appear such services like https://www.koinal.io that allows to buy cryptocurrency directly from bank card.
It becomes more simple to use cryptocurrencies.

Now appears a lot of different altcoins and it is very difficult to investors to change the best one.
Also is important that cryptocurrency system is developing and appear services that allow to buy and sell cryptocurrency directly from bank card.

Hey Guys, im still very new to crypto.  is there a resource to learn about the significance of different altcoins before investing?

I think you're talking about why you need to invest different altcoin,  thus you're asking what is the significance of those coins; its just simple it is better to invest in different place just like what the proverb says, " don't put all eggs in one basket" thus you can easily manage the risk of investing in that way.

there is still a lot of time to learn, don't immediately take the decision to invest in a different coin, but try to be more thorough and need a deeper analysis of doing it. I am only sharing experiences that I have had before.
Too many new projects arises in the market that serves a good services and trying hard to formulate a good market that can be usable and profitable to their respective client or customer, but yeah what you need to do first was to read its whitepaper and feed your mind with so much learning about this new project. But there's a different group oraganizing a live ama that you can join to watch it on live and be informed about their projects. So yeah each altcoins has their own kind of significance in the market today.
That "too many" makes newcomers confuse themselves who is telling right or who is not. That is why I suggest just check https://coinmarketcap.com/ as it was considered the most reliable resource of information about crypto.

We have to be careful visiting sites and that need to check if we are visiting the right or legit one. Some are just clickbait, can't ignore that because many people were trying to trick people for their own benefits.

Very true! there are lots of sites who are doing this for their vested interest. Tricking or pointing some projects to earned from referrals or to earn as paid advertisers,.

Newcomers needs to established in-depth knowledge with the project that they are aiming to follow and support, with this ideas and information they'll just easily acknowledge which coins or which teams are good to support and expect value for their money.

I agree with what you said to avoid losses that will be experienced by many beginner traders in investing in different Altcoins, of course, you need to open https://coinmarketcap.com/, here we can guide and learn to understand the movement of Altcoins in question for investing.

if you want to learn to understand it, you can search for it through Google or via Altcoin that you like, at this time because every Altcoin always has a website and a white paper that also explains all the concepts, goals, goals very completely and neatly, learn casually and don't rush -hurry in understanding it so that you can digest all the information properly

You will have to do your own research and analysis of some of the altcoins you want to buy. So you can find out the difference between each coin,
to be more sure when you decide to invest in these coins. This forum is also quite complete, there are many predictions and discussions of several
altcoins, maybe if you take the time to read a lot of some of the topics in this forum, will find out which coins are really recommended for purchase.
In addition to the information on this forum, you can try visiting the coinmarketcap sites. There, including a very complete display of altcoins
information that is needed.

Hey Guys, im still very new to crypto.  is there a resource to learn about the significance of different altcoins before investing?
The most important part of altcoins is their usability, invest base on high quality usefulness and you will thank me later, using coinmarketcap you can easily figure out why some altcoins have high ranks and why others have low ranks, DYOR

but I find it easier to access via Coinmarketcap.
Yup, that's why for beginners i highly recommend to visit coinmarketcap as well because its very easy to understand. .wherein even at your very first visit you can easily gets what is the real purpose of the site.. The graph, the level of coins along with the volumes in the market will be displayed in just one click.. So you don't need to ask which coins will be good for investment especially if you're new because all the information are in it.

You can easily find it on the Coinmarketcap website, there you can see and be able to choose your investment. I think you can try investing with several different altcoins, but these altcoins have a good value and potential to invest in. therefore you can access Coinmarketcap and can be learned. I think Coinmarketcap is a good solution for traders in investing.
Not only there, but through several other ranking sites can also be learned by newbies who want to learn to invest, one of which is through coingecko which also provides services that are almost the same as coinmarketcap.

That's right, at Coingecko we can also understand the price and chart of a coin, almost the same as the coinmarketcap. but I find it easier to access via Coinmarketcap.

trader might work on possession of knowledge and more to find ideas with the chance on investment as appealing different news and release from media and developer as followed with the chance on decision with the option for the order confirmation by the market.
On the contrary, I will say never trust any news and articles because they are just paid to shill for some coins. Yes, there are some who actually write the truth but the percentage of such articles is really low and I would rather analyze and invest based on my understanding than investing/trading a coin because someone else recommends it.

Marketcap: If you are investing in any coin, it takes a few seconds to check their market cap on CMC which tells you how much it is being traded and what is the market volume cap right now. The bigger the cap, the more is the confidence in the coin while investing.
Honestly I never believe into marketcap number because in my opinion it is highly a manipulated thing but unfortunately most of the crypto investors are believing into these numbers as their primary criteria while choosing a coin for their investment/trading purposes. Overall, I must say we are all misguided with wrong criteria tools for selecting coins. Your other 2 points are perfect and I agree with them.

There are various aspects of measuring the significance of altcoins.

1- Use case: You must understand what an altcoin provides, like ethereum was successful because it introduced the concept of smart contracts and altcoins were built on it. Having good use cases brings more value in long term.

2- Scalability: You should know how the project looks in a few years' time because ultimately the value of the product will decide the price of the tokens.

3- Marketcap: If you are investing in any coin, it takes a few seconds to check their market cap on CMC which tells you how much it is being traded and what is the market volume cap right now. The bigger the cap, the more is the confidence in the coin while investing.

There are other things though so don't sleep on these 3 as I can see some good suggestions from others too. A good link shared by others.

Being new in this space is a big challenge but all the things you guys sad is a must. The worst thing you can do is invest money in projects that you don't know what they do.

coinmarketcap you can make a choice. My advice to choose rank 1-20 it is a potential coin with different prices, and various exchange sources. You can adjust to your budget and conduct analysis before buying for investment

Hey Guys, im still very new to crypto.  is there a resource to learn about the significance of different altcoins before investing?

1. Most of the altcoins are shitcoins that are there for sole reason of pump and dump with no use cases.
2. I would suggest you app which give signals about altcoins’s listing on various exchanges and news about them.
2.1 - Blockfolio is the app I’m using to keep track of altcoins and news about them, I’m running that app on iOS and not sure if android version is there, but you can check Smiley

There are people giving their reviews on youtube regarding various altcoins, the one that i watched was “CoinBloq” but e stopped uploading his content last year. People here can suggest you various youtube channels but proceed with caution when revising new content regarding altcoins.

There is an android version of Blockfolio and it is a good app because it gives you almost all possible information about crypto. Like the charts and the news, which have been very useful so far in making some decisions about trading and new news about new projects. As far as the alts are concerned, try to concentrate on the main ones, the top alts in the top 30 and then make your decision to see which ones you want to invest with.
