If you are struck in signing a message from blockchain.info web wallet then try to make new account in classical blockchain.info site and then inport the Private keys.
*new beta version of web wallet does not support signing of message nor it support import/export of private keys,

Should you need help with this again in the future,  I have released a set of scripts (BATforN - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/batforn-bitcoinaltcoin-tools-for-newbies-apr-4-version-102-released-1409955) that make various functions easier and/or faster to accomplish including message signing and the scripts work for pretty much ANY coin client.

Wait, what is the benefit of signing a message?
What do we do with that?

I see they are using it when they are buying or selling in market.
How does that work? I mean what if i dont sign a message?
Is this to prove that i own the address or what?
Sorry if my post is not related to OP .
Signing a message proves that you own the address. If someone knows that you own an address, when they receive a signed message from your address, they can be sure that that message did in fact come from you. With accounts here, signing a message from a previously posted address means that there is a very high chance that the person who posted the address is also the same person as the one who controls the account.

Thank you all for your help, I got it.

The verifying site link that was posted allowed me try it myself before passing info to other and it stated it was verified so all set.

Thanks for taking time to help me with this, I greatly appreciate it all.

Don't worry, you are welcome, this remembers me my first steps in the bitcoin world, learning the basic things.

Just curious if OP falls into this category in the rules?

Has a affiliate link in his profile,so was curious if this is kosher. Looks like signature was removed for same reason.
Posting referral code is not allowed, but having the refferal link/code in the profile is allowed as far as i know.
Yeah, pretty much this. If you include a ref link in your posts, there's a high chance it gets deleted.
But in signatures and profile information, it's allowed.

As for why the link in their sig was removed, that's the signature restriction for newbies, no links allowed.

Perhaps the allowed signature styling should change with activity score / membergroup. Like:
- Newbie: No styling (including links) allowed. Max 40 characters.
- Jr. Member: Links allowed. Max 100 characters.

On my iPad logged into my Blockchain[.info] account.
Already posted it, but since you seem to have missed my post: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/how-to-sign-a-message-990345

I saw it and did it but after signing it I get signature code and don't know how to share it to verify.

How do I share this code, I don't have app showed in tutorial?

Thanks

To verify the bitcoin signed message there are many websites, for example a good tool is this one : https://tools.bitcoin.com/verifier.html and here too: https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC?verifysignedmessage=1

The commonly used format would be the following:

Code:
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
[insert your message here]
-----BEGIN SIGNATURE-----
[your bitcoin address]
[the signature blockchain.info provided]
-----END BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----

An example shorena made is this:

Thanks for not suggesting coinig. No one should use that broken tool.

You can copy the signed message and send it to whoever was wanting it. It would be up to them to verify the message.

It is better to make a new post with new information than to go back and edit a previously made post as the edit is often missed.
My edit actually was more regarding the formating of my post, not the content/links, those were there from the beginning.

Will someone please explain how to sign a message using my Blockchain address?

Thanks in advance for help.

In your wallet copy the address you want to sign then go to File and click Sign Message.

Enter the  message you want to sign using that address and click Sign Message in the popup.

Hello,

When I'm in my wallet there is no file so when I did a Google search on topic I got following:

https://blockchain.info/tags?filter=16

Now do I enter my addy and where do I add other person's addy who I am verifying I am owner of account?

Thanks

Are you trying to sign a message from a desktop wallet or a blockchain.info web wallet?
