The sign of gambling addiction is you constantly visiting a gambling site, spending most of your time trying to find a key match, always refreshing a particular gambling score page, the most common won is trying to make friends with those who gamble a lot.. lastly always explaining your previous games and how you would have one
My advice to gamblers is never seek for a second opinion when you want to place your bet because it’s has killed so many games and I’m a witness

Is seeking a new strategy or thinking of betting while you are sleeping signs of addiction?

Not totally a sign of addiction but I consider that as a "usual" thing. I mean, it's common to think of that especially when we are into gambling.

I'm sometimes like that, thinking of doing some gambling even while at sleep or prior. It's not because I'm crazy or what but simply, gambling is already part of my regular activity just like some other things that I used on doing.

In general, being a gambling addict isn't bad after all as long as the person is responsible.
You have a point on this, this is a very common behavior when there's something new activity that we have found. Not even on gambling and even when you discover a new activity such as playing video games or something interesting that you discover, it always you have a paranoid always thinking.

I guess the sign of addiction is that when you start seeking money even though you know there's no one will give you and now you are ready to commit a crime just to sustain your habit. That is I guess the start of an addiction.

Biggest signs of addiction is when you think about it all day, plus when you go past the casino and have a sudden urge to go into the casino every single time. But the biggest out of all is when you loan the money to gamble then you are in serious problems

Gamblers don't realize they are addicted to gambling until it's worse which they've done unthinkable already like breaking the piggybank of his kid just so he could gamble again. But you as a gambler can also notice it to yourself before you get to the worse situation like selling valuables like jewelry so you could play again.

Gambling addiction is something to be obvious even you would realize it for yourself and how much more on  other people that could easily spot it out because it is evident on how you do act.

When the time comes that money being spent on your leisure time or simply with gambling is already risking out your life savings or amounts or money that shouldn't really be used in other means

then that basically shows that you are already addicted. If you can still able to get rid or able to stop it midway then better to do so because it would really be putting you on a hard situation
where financial and your relationship to your loved ones is on risk.

One of the most obvious signs that you are losing control over your gambling has to do with your priorities, for a person that is not addicted there are going to be many things that will be above their gambling hobby, for example family, friends, yourself, having a good night sleep, eating well and prioritizing the desires of your children above yours. The list could be infinite but I think I got my point across, if for a person gambling is above those kind of things then most likely they are developing a gambling addiction that needs to be treated as soon as possible.

Gambling is still okay if it's just for fun and to fill your spare time, but if it's been used as a main source of income, this can be dangerous, you have to know the limits and be able to accept the consequences, don't regret when you don't have anything. As much as possible get rid of the idea that gambling is the only way to double money.
Right. Once we start gambling to make money, it becomes a problem right away even if we are winning because winning is actually what makes you more addicted. Imagine you start gambling and lose 50 bets initially, you would hate gambling while if you win the first 10 bets also, you will feel like you have a money making method now.

It's already affecting your mental health and instead of taking time for you to rest, you're thinking of what's the next step that you must as you gamble. Is it happening to you OP?
I don't think it's happening to OP because he is making a query in general by the looks of it. But yeah if anyone starts feeling like they want to gamble all day and even when hours they should sleep, they are gambling, it surely is a problem.
Yes, when gambling starts to get into your head and your life is also being shaken in any of its many aspects then there is probably a problem. Addiction can be interpreted with the aggression and impulsivity when gambling, and when one is losing his or her sanity over the thought of overcoming losses and eagerness to win more.

the addicted person cannot take vacations from the games, they become very dependent on games. for example the person can take a test:

go a month without playing or making any sports bets and not feel any temptation to want to play

be able to accept losses and not sell anything or not borrow money to gamble

if the person takes these tests and realizes that he has self control of himself then he is not addicted yet

Is seeking a new strategy or thinking of betting while you are sleeping signs of addiction? If not, what are little signs that unfold you are becoming a gambling addict?

The signs are many, but I think they start when:
  • You are already betting more than the stipulated bankroll for one day/week/month;
  • You are playing more than an hour or two a day;

When it gets to the point of spending the amount that needed to be used for something else (market, accounts, etc.) then the case is already complicated.
The problem is that many people think they have everything under control when in fact they've gone over the limit and haven't even noticed.

Obviously it's a sign of addiction if you keep on thinking about gambling when your are sleeping. You are said to be addicted when the thing you are doing starts to interfere with your personal life. It means you are addicted if you can't focus on your work and keep thinking about it. You will always have an urge and if you don't fulfill the urge, you won't be in a good mood. Remember, obsessions and addictions are two different things though. So yeah, even if you aren't selling everything, you are still considered a gambling addict if you suffer from those above symptoms.

Is seeking a new strategy or thinking of betting while you are sleeping signs of addiction? If not, what are little signs that unfold you are becoming a gambling addict?
I think these aren't always signs of gambling addiction. Maybe the gambler just wants to improve his gameplay and keep thinking about how he can do this for real. Naturally the best moment of the day to think is at night, before sleeping, because finally after a busy day you don't have to pay attention to anything else besides your own thoughts.
The issue is when the person only thinks about gambling all day long, what means these thoughts are disturbing the daily routine and activities. Loss of concentration is a good sign the person is going through a dangerous path.

Indeed, there is nothing wrong with thinking about a new strategy to gamble at night before going to bed, as long as it does not interfere with
the routine of our lives. So this cannot be called a sign of gambling addiction, unless we are obsessed with finding new strategies to win gambling games.
Then interfere with the routine of our lives, it is possible that we are addicted. I myself often think of new strategies for gambling games at night,
in order to win when playing gambling. After all, at night before going to bed, the atmosphere is calmer and makes it easier for me to concentrate.

I will quote here a paragraph that would be useful for most people here.

Let's talk about the reasons why people develop gambling addiction:
Quote
Overcoming social isolation by visiting betting shops or casinos
To feel a rush of adrenaline and dopamine as a ‘happy’ brain chemical release
Numb, unpleasant feelings and problems which cannot be easily resolved
Boredom and a desire to pass the time
Relax and unwind after a stressful day

Now there are some symptoms that you can look for :
Quote
A preoccupation with gambling and loss of interest in other aspects of life, such as ignoring family responsibilities and focusing only on the results of gambling
Loss of control and being unable to manage impulsive urges to gamble even when the odds are against you
Increasing the amount of money used to gamble in order to pay for lost bets or to experience the thrill
A negative impact upon relationships with those closest to you. Losing a partner as a result of a gambling addiction is very common due to the strains and burdens that problem gambling places on a relationship
Problems within the workplace which could include an increased workload, absence from work or general lack of concentration which makes it difficult to complete tasks sufficiently
Concealing the amount of money and time spent betting from family members. The secrecy that is often involved in problem gambling leads to a lack of trust and often further problems at home
Denial that you have a problem with gambling is a great concern as the first step to recovery is accepting that you have a problem

There are also a number of quizzes that you can take online if you suspect yourself having a gambling addiction and many of them are helpful too.

At the same time if you are wondering about the fact if you have a gambling probelm of no I do think that you already do.

I doubt it's a sign as I also do the same on sports betting and plan ahead on the matches i'm interested betting on. I guess planning could contribute to the addiction in some way where it encourages you to try new things but at the same time it depends on how you view it because you can also do the same with other activities. One of the signs that i've experienced was gambling impulsively, back then instead of stopping after a profitable day I sometimes push things further and make stupid bets.

I don't call it a sign of gambling addiction as long as it does not affect your normal way of living. it's normal to think of strategies to win and you can sometimes take that in your sleep, that only means you are a challenge and you'll continue to find ways to win in gambling. I have this kind of experience sometimes but I know I'm not a gambling addict, I just love to challenge myself.
I think that it is just normal to think of ways to level up and improve one’s strategies when gambling. However, if the person is constantly and solely focused about gambling, especially when eagerness to go on and to risk everything that could be used to gamble with, then maybe it is an addiction that starts to kick in.

I wasn't able to keep little of my holdings on the wallet. I feel like I'll win and this makes me go for high multiplier with the very small amounts. The amounts are not even higher than a dollar. This has happened after losing thousand and thousands of dollars. This makes me feel I'm addicted to gambling.

Symptoms vary from person to person, though the most common one perhaps would be the feeling of agitation if not being able to play or to bet. I'm pretty sure that people who are slowly getting addicted to gambling experienced this very often since they are slowly losing grip to their control in gambling. If they are not able to play or bet on a single day, you will notice a change on their behavior almost immediately, sometimes getting irritated and agitated. Well, it's common on a lot of addictions, though, so that's why I came up with it.
