A big improvement for linux miners.

One caution though, the power draw at least for 380 and 280 class cards also goes up somewhat proportionately. For the  ASUS 280(x)  cards, the sols/s just about doubled along with the power draw.

With this jump I had to do some rearrangement of the power distribution.

If you are already running at the limit of your power and cooling budget, you may want to go over your power/cooling distribution layout before you make the v5 jump.

Yeah I can only run 1 instance (win), 2 slows hashrate down a lot.  just testing one card, cpu is a 4.5ghs i7-2700k.  480 4g nitro.
The same here. Windows 10, 4Gb RAM + 16Gb swap file. 6x 470 8 Gb

same happens to me even on an i7 rig

I haven't included the latest updates in R2, so that may be it. I will build a new version soon.
i installed cygwin and tried to run your R2 version
but it tells me cygmin is not an internal or external command

did I do something wrong?

Thanks!

5x 1070 cards on celeron dual core is no go, CPU usage is 100% and speed is 40% or 30-35 sol/s per card

I just uploaded a new version of my Windows build of SILENTARMY v5:

https://mega.nz/#F!iwYQhI6S!2vl0D3jz3fH3-bZxHUurBg

This *should* work with NVIDIA cards.
If it doesn't, please let me know with as much information as possible.

Just says 'mining on 1 device' then nothing after that (AMD cards).

R2 made my old gtx 680 work.  Was already working great on my rx 470s.  Does R2 fix anything other than nvidia support?  In other words, any point updating my amd rigs?

how to change our GPU Memory Clock in Linux?
i want to lower my mod GPU Memory Clock.
Thanks
/usr/bin/aticonfig for Fglrx and /usr/bin/nvidia-smi for Nvidia.

Have you tried your 1080 with latest build on Linux? Getting poor performance compared to 1070
I have not, my 1080 is my main card in my win pc, I also have my 295x2 in it. Im getting better speeds with claymores miner, so its either better speed with 295x2 and use windows and game on my 1080, or dual boot into ubuntu and just mine.
1080's terrible mining performance is due to the GDDR5X memory.

--instances=2  Possible faster
2 instances is the default without including the argument.

Is someone getting the 115 sol/s on the R9 nano?
Only getting 96-100sol/s on mine using the Windows build.
Just wondering if that's possible with the linux build?
FYI, running the nanos on stock bios

Does sa-solver.exe work? If it does, the problem is definitely with the Python installation.
sa solver works using amd card, but doesn't work using my nvidia card. gtx 1080 gives openCL build failed (-11)

Thanks for the report! I forgot that the "-O5" OpenCL build option is AMD-specific. I will fix that ASAP.
