I got this card today

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01K1JW8CW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

same day shipping was the biggest reason why.

While I love amazon I just can't stomach the tax fees on big ticket items.  Sometimes I can find no tax merchants on amazon but its rare.
So I have to stick with Newegg and BHPhoto for no tax and free ship.

We have 1 of those, it's been good for us so far. Much better then the crappy MSI Aereo blower coolers and quieter then the ASUS Turbo blower cooler models.

The 8 that we just bought for a new rig are that model too, just 1070s instead of 1080s.  Someday in the future we hope to switch to riserless rigs as much as possible, so I think finding good quality blower coolers will be quite good for that.

Out of curiosity, you mention MSI, ASUS & Zotac... but but what about EVGA?  any thoughts on their 1070ti's?

All but one of my 1070 ti cards are EVGA SC "black" model.

I just wish they'd quit being sold out everywhere most of the time - even EVGA is sold out on them a lot of the time.

The other one I have is a Zotac Mini - works well, matches the performance exactly vs my EVGAs except it runs a little warmer (expected), but it doesn't appear to be a ball-bearing fan so it ended up being the last GPU I plan to buy that doesn't have BB fans.
(I had Gigabyte non-BB fans start failing a LOT the week after I got this Zotac).

Gamers are probably not TOO ticked at us miners this time around - the current round of price jumps didn't start 'till just before XMas, so most of them had plenty of time to get "XMas upgrades" done first.

Getting any new asics without over paying will be tough.

In fact gpu prices are rising.

Amazon is kind of mostly sold out.
Provantage is short.

Not much  gear to be had at the moment.
yeah newegg is dry of rx580s and 1070s ant tis

we went for months of normal prices all of a sudden we are back
to square one. Id say stack up your $$ and wait for inventories to build up again

hardware purchases are dead atm

Welcome to the second big altcoin price jump of 2017.
I was expecting issues to develop when I saw pricing on most of the major altcoins TRIPLE in a week - and they're STILL well over double what they were (mostly) 1.5 months ago.

I just got a shippment 30 x Zotac GTX-1060s (wanted P106s but got these instead for same price) - unfortunately these are the last pieces on this side of the world from my Zotac supplier.

For now, no more GPUs rigs possible because we maxed out all amps in both warehouse -- close to 90 rigs - without tripping the power. 63A-3Phase-220-240v each warehouse.

All new Asics will remain hosted only.

I may replace the R9-390s with newer GPUs if I can get a good deal for all 25 x 390s -- any takers?

Maxed out warehouse sounds like fun.

it is quite fun actually to play which farm which trip first and find a way to squeeze available any amps

the sad thing is my 8xVega64 rig is still docked because powering it up will definitely cause a trip for the whole farm

anybody got an easier way to get these vega64s run 2k each on low watts?

I have one rig of 8xVega64 running stable since 5 weeks hashing at 1800-1860h/s /card with ~1250W at the wall. This is the best and stable configuration, in my opinion. I can do them to hash at 2050h/s, but the power rise to ~1800W at the wall.
I made another one with 6xVega64 with the same configuration but for some reasons I couldn't make it work with more than six Vegas. The difference from the one above is the motherboard https://en.colorful.cn/contents/251/620.html so maybe this is the reason...

Phil - I ran my avalon for a few weeks and sold it also.  The upside was to good pass up.  Bought 3-4 80TI's with the money i got from the Avalon 741s.

I have a long way to go to catch up to you, long long way, but always looking to expand.

90 rigs is crazy lol, i have 25 , 3 more 1070ti rigs parts and 30 bad gpus laying around on rma
so i could possibly be at 40 rigs but im split btwn two locations 90 rigs is crazy lol

90 rigs over more than 2 years of hardwork from a newbie to semi-newbie now.
Many people to thank esp Phil for his experience, BBT and other miners at MRR and Kano & CK's threads.
Those were the days - where a 750MH ETH farm was like mining like a boss.

Yeah mining in 2018  should be interesting.  I think  buysolar will get  new location 1 ready by june.   and that may be as much as 400 amp x 240 =

96kwatts x .8 = 76.8 kwatts  not factoring the solar cap of 25%  ie   about 17-19kwatts of costless power   and of course  if you go past that  you could go to

75kwatts but you pay for all above the 17-19.

still 19kwatts  is  18 of my spotswood build  about 1050 watts doing 4075 sols

that  would be close to  73000 sols  along with the current 32000 sols

That would be the bees knees there Phil congrats!

I know you're running a few S9's, you wouldn't run more of those in the Solar Array vs GPU's? Just curious what you currently prefer.

Can't get them at a good price anymore.
I have 4 with one on the way.  that is 5

and one of the new ones dropped a board.  so I have 4 ⅔

I sold the avalon 741's

although I have a dead one that has 1 good board  and maybe 1 good internal daughter board.

still have yet to find someone with a dead avalon 741 that  we could piece together.

Right now buying gpus  is all I can do to expand.

the risk is less.  Gpus do have a return time  so that mitigates some risk in case of  a crazy crash.

Buying an s-9            for 2500  from bitmain
Buying an avalon 821 for 2200 from cannan

makes 0 $$ to me.

If I buy 0 for all of 2018  and just mine I will do okay.

If I can get a deal for the s-9 direct from bitmain I will order more.

And back to nicehash  I made the 0.10   payment threshold  about 5 minutes ago.  I think they will pay it to me Sunday morning

I switched off that one of 3 accounts and moved to the second of the three  trying to get that threshold up to 0.10

That's fucking awesome man congrats! I've got 200A 208v at my warehouse, I don't see myself maxing it out any time soon even with the new GPU's I bought I'm barely going to be pushing 80A 220v (or 160A 110v)

yeah  I have 50-60 cards  doing about 30000 sols.   I don't have much amps left.

but I have  2x 1080's 1x 1080 ti and 1 x 1070 coming  along with 1 1070 rma

so

525
525
700
450
450
2650 sols to add to the 30000 and I will be capped out for the winter

32650 sols of zec

along with 5 s-9's  or 65th

Anyone know when there will be more available? I emailed the other day but no response from Baikal themselves. Trying to get 10 of them.

If you want to buy from Baikal, you need to be early or on their A list, or wait for the Batch 2/3 shipping don't know when...

If you want to buy from an authorized distributor ... get them from "bittawm" or https://bittawmart.com/ -- he is legit and one of my trusted sellers.

I have also China sellers which are in my trusted list ... but may not be suitable for non-Asian buyers... due to payment terms etc. etc. etc.

10 of what ? they sold out the baikal b and the x10

i imagine the next batches wont be until the b delivers around feb

Wanted some Giant B's - would get 25 of them but just dropped a load on new 1080's and 70's and only expanding another 50k into hardware, whatever the hardware may be. Starting to have buyers remorse lol.
