Goodluck man, i have been profit switching $9.31USD/day for 7 day average per 1080ti, been a great week for Nvidia Alts with Altcumminity coin
where do you usually get your info on what is profitable? Do you go after each new ANN or just read on news-boards?
I use Awesome Miner, i have a much smaller setup compared to the past, so im not online as much, been spending more time doing my real job while i work out the insurance BS from hurricane, but the community for Awesome Miner has grown a lot since when i started, now when a new coin comes out, literally within hours of launch many of the bigger more plugged in miners bombard the dev on adding the new coin, so a new quick update was added and i can see it on my list.... So when it was added i noticed it and just added whichever pool i want to use to mine it and have been mining it and daily converting it to BTC when im home and can perform the task.
For example, i just checked and my rigs are on Monacoin, the last hour its been bouncing around $15-16/day profit per 1080ti's on those rigs... but that number is a number that isnt constant, so maybe in an hour it may be back down to $1/day when enough rigs switch over to overmine the coin... with the ability to apply dynamic GPU settings per algo... i have learned over time some cards just cant handle the switching as well as others and require to be reduced in settings individually and after kinda fine tuning my cards 1 by 1, i have had rock solid stability with profit switching every 60 seconds. 98% of the time it doesnt switch every 60 seconds, because usually a coin sits at the top longer than that, but on average i see strong coins last about 20-30mins before it finally is overmined and im off to the next coin.. i also only profit switch a select few coins, so my rigs dont switch really all that often...
I know many dont like profit switching, but its worked out great for me, during days of low profits i can grab a few % more over solid minable coins and when a new and hot one comes out i can jump back and forth to it when its hot. the vast majority of my coins i mine are mined directly to Bittrex and i use the auto-convert to BTC feature they have, so i have it setup to send the coins i mined after each block, 2 blocks, or so depending on the coin as long as its above the transfer limit, then sell it asap at the current price before the pools get over and crush the price before me. most pools that auto-convert on the site only sell alts every 30-60minutes, so usually i can get more out of them before they are crushed into the ground
