Is it true that you don't pay taxes on crypto in Slovenia?

No, it isn't. In addition to the original tax, Slovenia also levies a transaction tax on cryptoassets . The transaction tax is set at a rate of 0.25% and applies to all crypto asset transactions. In case of losses on crypto assets, Slovenia allows taxpayers to use the losses against taxes on other income.

Otkup USDT
September 03, 2023, 03:49:47 AM
Pozdravljeni sosedje!

-----------

Kupnja i prodaja USDT [Telegram grupa]

Telegram grupa:
https://t.me/KriptovaluteTelegram

Zašto P2P?
Anonimno, NO KYC
Cash na ruke (EUR)
Neograničena likvidnost
Tax free
Nema FIFO metode

Verjetno bitkoin ni zelo priljubljen v Sloveniji, zato ni donosno vzdrževati kriptomatov.

Sedajle me en kolega iz Črne gore sprašuje od uporabe BTC ATMja. Ker so ga končno dobili v Črni gori. WTF. Kako so jih tole potihoma ukinili.

New legislation in Slovenia with a flat 5% tax.
https://coingape.com/breaking-slovenia-introduces-5-flat-crypto-tax/

I say it's quite favorable, compared to most countries.
I can't put my hand on the paper which describes this law in detail, if someone can help me.
Do you guys know whether the law is applicable directly for 2022 or for the next year?

If I am not wrong the 5% is only when you have more than 10k of profit in the past year

I don't find the Official statement but I will edit this post and add it when I'll find it

Živjo!
I will go to Slovenia and open a trading business there since I've got an opportunity to live there thanks to a friend and tax seems better than in my country. Which bank is the most bitcoin friendly?
I've read about "Gorenjska banka" (It was the bank of Bitstamp if I remember).
Hvala lepa!
Did you open exchange buisnes in slovenia?

What happened with Lon?  I remember few years ago they planed to sell BTC on all their ATMs. They failed badly at it after one month. But they could be most crypto friendly bank in Slo. https://www.lon.si/sl/prebivalstvo/o-lonu/strategija-trajnostni-razvoj/english-LON   Unless they totally changed their strategy.

WTF!?! I've been to Gorenjska banka then to NovaKBM and in addition to the normal personal documents, they are demanding a "Potrdilo o zaposlitvi ali prejemanju pokojnine" (certificate of employment or retirement).
So only slaves or old people are allowed in their f** banks! You can't be self-employed (and let alone in crypto-trading) apparently  Angry

Self-employed is considered employed in Slovenia. But this document is only a requirement if you want a bank loan, not a normal personal bank account. They probably wanted to sell you one of their expensive personal accounts that includes a line of credit. Hence the requirement to have a stable income.

But this doesn't matter anyway. If you will open a trading business, you need a business account for your company...

Ok, thank you. I will take Gorenjska banka then. Their fees aren't too bad furthermore.
