Previously Facebook banned crypto ads, Google decided to do so in this upcoming June. Now some like fud news circulating that twitter will ban its crypto and related content ads too. And recently like minutes ago Snapchat banned ICO ads in its platform, unlike the said platforms snapchat only banned ICO which is also a good choice. But can somebody tell me if no one cares about this ban?  Cheesy I don't even use snapchat like for real.

If anyone is really interested in the growth of bitcoin, then you would care and be bothered about the bans here and there because its sending only one message which is heard loud and clear all over the world and that is crypto currency cannot be trusted. To someone already aware of crypto currency, you can separate the trustworthy ICOs from the others, you can separate bitcoin and other reputable coins from the rest but to a new individual its one and the same.

Again, its not about whether someone is using Snapchat or Instagram but what mattered is getting the message out and this platforms have been a useful means that spread beyond geographical locations, since its likely impossible to advertise on TVs. Aside that a lot of people have come in contact with crypto currency because of advert of an ICO which he didn't eventually participate. But now, all of those means are being shut, then we are likely to get stuck at a point of even go down further.

well after the ban of google and facebook the other social media platforms whether they ban or not I guess it won`t have a huge effect on price of cryptos as the others are not as influential as google and fb.

I think they are scared by the rumors circulating about scams and the possibility of using cryptocurrencies for illegal operations. Perhaps they fear class actions of cheated investors for advertising scams.

I knew that it was also coming and very soon all the other social media platforms are going to follow suit as well and completely ban it as well. But this is not going to bring any negative effect to the market at all.

Lol, people thought Facebook baning ICO ads won't have that much of an effect because there were many other platforms which still had ICO advertisements. If this is the case now maybe ICOs will lose a lot of advertisements and would have to find other ways to advertise their ICOs. Facebook, Twitter and also Snapchat can prove to be the platform for advertisements due to their large user base.

I don't use snapchat either, their stock price is continuously declining as well as facebook due to the recent data scandal. I think twitter is planning or doing something that could follow the steps of those giants. So you people see that those who have hate crypto is getting their karma right after. On the other hand, as those company blocks ico, there is a huge potential that startups will prefer to use bitcointalk to promote their company and service as oppose to those giant advertising company. If one closes a dooor a new door will open somewhere and it is here at the forum.

It doesn't really matters to me since i never using that social media site. Even if the other sites banned the ads related to cryptos, the cryptoworld will still survive and will keeps on going into it's direction. I expect more banning from the other sites but it doesn't bother me at all. There will always be a way to spread things about the cryptos.

What happens with them? Is it a conspiracy between the biggest social media sites? I think that everyone of them has plan why they banned cryptocurrency right now. I think that aside from they don't like ICOs scam to exist, they want also to eliminate other ICO that will become a hindrance to their business.

Yeah , it's a conspiracy....
You know who the mastermind is ?

It's this guy> https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/theymos-35
He was the first one to ban ICO ads on a social platform, the exact platform where you hang out right now.

The truth is that is just part of our growing pains, it will sting a little in the beginning, but eventually everyone who really wants to invest in crypto or ICO's will always find its way to the ecosystem. No matter how many social media sites ban ICO ads.

Yeah, they will but at least it will stop a lot of people that were going to be deceived by ICOs wanting to put vegetables into the blockchain like Prodeum did. The only one that are going to invest are the ones that are going to really do a research and not just click an ad and that's it, bullet proof way of losing all your money.

As I've said it before a hundred times (or maybe less) in those ICO topics, is there an ICO that has actually delivered it's RL product?

I can not blame Snapchat and other platforms banning ICO ads. I also can not blame Chinese or Koreans bannng ICOs or trading. We all know that most ICOs are scam and we have to behave against scammers as cryptocurrency enthusiasts. These scammers scares most people and this makes Bitcoin is still considered as a bad thing. There has to be some regulations controlling scam projects.

Let them all take swipes at the cryptocurrency markets. At the end if the day they'll join the bandwagon, they know what's coming, that's why they are doing all this from Microsoft to Google to what not: CRYPTO IS HERE AND ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE!!!!

For me this is a good moved to ban ICO because its really bring bad light to crypto in general. But banning doesn't equate total stoppage because we all really know that crypto is unstoppable as you have pointed out. At the long run, this ban will just be another setbacks that we have overcome. We have proven that we have this sort of staying power.

The truth is that is just part of our growing pains, it will sting a little in the beginning, but eventually everyone who really wants to invest in crypto or ICO's will always find its way to the ecosystem. No matter how many social media sites ban ICO ads.

I don't use snapchat but there will be some effect again with the pricing of bitcoin and I guess it's now on effect from $9,000 it was down by $200 today so this might be the reason for this quick drop.
$200-$400 dropped is just normal in bitcoin price, I don't even know if this ban will hit a huge impact on the market as I don't feel snapchat a huge platform in terms of its users.
Yes that can be normal but it's still an effect due to any reason and I'm just guessing that it's because of it.
Twitter hasn't banned ICO/crypto ads yet but yeah everyone is following the leaders in this industry.
And regarding the twitter bans for crypto ads, I don't think if it will happen as Mr. Dorsey (Twitter's and Square CEO) just said
"Bitcoin Will Become World’s ‘Single Currency’ Within A Decade"
Source: Twitter CEO Says Bitcoin Will Become World’s ‘Single Currency’ Within A Decade as this news spreading throughout the net I don't find a clue of banning crypto ads in his social media platform unless government told him to do so.
Yes that's great news that's why I've said that it won't ban crypto so those false speculations about twitter should end now.

It's no fault of theirs and they are not doing this because they have some kind of malice against bitcoin,
A ban on ICO is not even a malice. It is not even against bitcoin because most ICO depend on the ethereum blockchain or they formulate theirs. They hardly use the btc chain. I think all social media banning ICOs is a good thing. Let their adverts be only on this forum, bitcointalk.

That's an interesting way to look at it. Google, Snap, Twitter, Facebook ban ICO ads and I don't think its going to stop ICO's, maybe slow down a bit. I also don't understand that companies like google (twitter, facebook, instagram...) make most of their revenue from the advertisements they show us and they've made shitloads of money from those ICO ads till now. If they can refuse that huge money that means there is something more important than money, which is ICO's itself.

They saw most of those ICO's are scams (or possible scams) and they don't want to advertise those "possible" scams willingly. It is because people are dumb (if they weren't they would use adblock and google wouldn't even survive this long) and when they lose money because of those ICO's, they'll sue google (or the others) because google told them to "get in"

I just remembered my friend "invested" in some scam ICO in December which he found via a google Ad. Of course that dumbass couldn't get his money back. Now he is staying away from everything related to crypto. He doesn't admit that he was dumb, instead he blames everything else.

In surveying the number of users of Snapchat globally, obviously the number of users will be extremely small compared to Google or Facebook however banning of ICOs ads will not have any significant effects, it's look like a major trend is launched against Cryptos by social media which I belief will not have any impact on Cryptos going by already growing adoptability globally.

If some social site banned bitcoin the impact in the price go low because i see a lot of users use only that and not this forum like twitter, instagram, slack and facebook but still we can find a way to spread crypto all over the world and i think they will banned this now but not for so long because crypto is worth it so better to study it to gain knowledge while we can earn this is like business so better to prepare in all things that can happen
