Previously Facebook banned crypto ads, Google decided to do so in this upcoming June. Now some like fud news circulating that twitter will ban its crypto and related content ads too. And recently like minutes ago Snapchat banned ICO ads in its platform, unlike the said platforms snapchat only banned ICO which is also a good choice. But can somebody tell me if no one cares about this ban?  Cheesy I don't even use snapchat like for real.

Wonderful. Now YouTube should soon follow up. Because let's admit it, these ads are annoying. And these ads are the reason why idiots get into doing stupid things without consulting anyone or doing any due diligence of their own and they end up being scammed. And yeah snapchat is for wannabes, legit. And it's interface is shit. But I don't think much advertisment of ICO's were there in snapchat but I could be wrong cause I never used it.

More social media will follow suit because the rate of scams using ICOs Ads have become out of control. They have to protect their interests and the interests of their users.

I don't use snapchat but there will be some effect again with the pricing of bitcoin and I guess it's now on effect from $9,000 it was down by $200 today so this might be the reason for this quick drop.
$200-$400 dropped is just normal in bitcoin price, I don't even know if this ban will hit a huge impact on the market as I don't feel snapchat a huge platform in terms of its users.

Twitter hasn't banned ICO/crypto ads yet but yeah everyone is following the leaders in this industry.
And regarding the twitter bans for crypto ads, I don't think if it will happen as Mr. Dorsey (Twitter's and Square CEO) just said
"Bitcoin Will Become World’s ‘Single Currency’ Within A Decade"
Source: Twitter CEO Says Bitcoin Will Become World’s ‘Single Currency’ Within A Decade as this news spreading throughout the net I don't find a clue of banning crypto ads in his social media platform unless government told him to do so.

I have not even heard about Snapchat yet.
But now you did Cheesy

Apparently, soon all social networks will ban advertising ICO, because they are very fraudulent. Perhaps this is even the right step. With swindlers somehow you need to fight. To advertise ICO projects there is this forum and it can not be a fraudulent advertisement of ICO projects. Therefore, the value and prestige of this forum will only increase after such prohibitions.
How I wish that all social media sites will ban ICO ads including those ponzi schemes ads.

People that are into crypto and all that, probably aren't using snapchat on daily occasion or at all. Audience there are teenagers, young adults who're posting memes and celebrities. Nothing of value is lost. That ban will probably have no impact at all or something quite small.

this is another bad news for cryptos. I don't think Snapchat gives any influence to crypto, but the its news gives influence to the market. However, I believe cryptos are products of a leading technologies and nothing can stop technologies which means Crypto and ICO will find its way to grow.

We don't need these advertisments anyway. Is Bitcoin advertised on TV? Why? Because we do not need it. Bitcoin is not a product which is sold to other people by a certain company which only thinks about the profit. Bitcoin is maintained by it's huge community which aim is to make Bitcoin popular and widely accepted because of its specification. People are tired of using banks which are too large, slow and not reliable anymore. People panic because popular services prohibit advertising everything what is connected with cryptocurrencies. Stop and think for a while if it is the thing we should be focused on.

Sometimes I don't blame this website and social media treats to ban. These icos are really fraudulent and wicked in nature. You will have them promise all goodies but at the end, they won't keep to promise, won't be listed or are very much a shit and nonsense coin.

I really couldn't care less. I don't use Snapchat, and as I can see anyone who uses Snapchat and social media all the time don't know anything about cryptocurrencies, so cryptos are not going to lose much public there. Facebook and Google might have some impact, but still only a few people got into crypto by an advertisement.

This ban will not be cared for as it seems that all social media services agree to ban crypto and ICO ads. However, I would agree that the ban is only directed to ICO advertisements. An ICO fundraiser can really make someone who follows it to get a big profit but from the experience in the market today many are only using ICO as a way to gain profits quickly and after that investors leave the coin. With the prohibition of crypto and ICO advertisements by various social media services may in the future lead to new social media that specifically support crypto and I will support if the new social media emerges.

Crypto should survive this, the people who are truly interested and want to invest in tech for the right reasons will seek out information in other ways. The ads you see on snapchat are usually for some sort of product with flashy images that grab your attention. If someone really wanted to learn about an ICO it would be imperative to read as much as possible on the tech behind it, the development team and the overall odds of adoption. There's just too much information that requires serious contemplation, ads on snapchat on the other hand aren't always conducive to this sort of thing considering the app revolves around ephemeral communication--and could therefore be easily molded into gateways for scams.

What is this happening. 1st Facebook the great social media has banned the crypto currency ads, then Google also do this . And now Snapchat has also going on this path. What will happen next. I m scared.

I really don't know how this is even ever so slightly scary. Are you living in a rock or something? Haven't you seen those ads? Full of cloud mining and ICO ads. I honestly haven't seen a single decent cryptocurrency advertisement since forever.

very sad news! More and more bans appear on the crypto market! all these restrictions make very serious players who are hampered by bitcoin and his life! most likely these are people from the bank, they are now losing a lot of money due to the increase in capitalization in the crypto market!

It's no fault of theirs and they are not doing this because they have some kind of malice against bitcoin, the problem is that most of these Ads are being used to scam unsuspecting people who are interested in investing in cryptocurrencies and the companies have to take responsibilty and protect the interest of their interests. I for one think this is a good thing because these scams give cryptocurrencies a bad name which affects the price.

I'm not very surprised by this news. Once facebook dumped it, the other social media platforms will be quick to follow. Snapchat has been on the downhill since it's last major update. I would have thought that they would be holding onto what ever they could to make money via ads.... but they just keep following in step with everyone else.

I think that this is a step in the right direction. ICOs are a cancer on the cryptocurrency community. Nothing good comes of them, they exist only to make their creators a quick buck.

Just read an article about it now. I think now everyone is following footsteps of social media giants like facebook and twitter. But may be they are right. ICOs are very easy way to earn money now. Many people are just scamming. The abuse of the system has led the SEC to conduct a probe into the ICOs.

I'm not surprised, it is like the wild west out there at the moment with people getting scammed left right and centre. As long as top coins like bitcoin and ethereum can continue to be advertised then crypto will continue to push for mainstream adoption.
