It is in other ways. Gold is always gold. The supply of gold is everywhere. The supply of bitcoin is only limited few in numbers now but gold is always do in mining every where in this planet. Maybe in terms of transactions through digital way bitcoin is better than gold but it terms of supply. Gold is better than bitcoin.
Yea BTC is better than gold in terms of investment and I say this because it gives a better return on investment, short or long term. Iv been here for a short time an BTC has done better than any other stock in the world that I know .

So Bitcoin is better than Gold? 
For me yes, Bitcoin is better than Gold, although the price of bitcoin is not stable, it's goes up and down but after many years BTC will become very expensive and more money you can earn. It is fast also to invest money unlike gold that you need many plans for investment. Moreover when I join here in Bitcoin world there is no payment it's free, and I'm earning money through here. In gold you need more money first before you earn money it's too much costly.
If you choose to invest in a short time then bitcoin is much more profitable. But if you have a longer time then gold is a much safer investment. It all depends on the condition, because there is no perfect thing in this world.

Bitcoin is better than gold, because bitcoin gives good profit than gold. If we compare gold and bitcoin, we know that the bitcoin is really best for investment and best for trading. The price of bitcoin is increasing everytime, while gold it takes for a long time, just to wait for the price if good before we earn profit. So bitcoin is much better than gold, because bitcoin is good for a long term and short term investment, not just like in gold its only good for a long term investment.

In my Opinion, Gold and Bitcoin have a different factor in each they have an own aspect. Gold has a stable movement of price more than bitcoin. The price of gold per kilo now is $42k. Bitcoin price now is $12k but late December the price is higher than gold. On the gold, you need it to secure. Some people place gold underground inevitably. On the other hand, bitcoin, they are a lot of wallets can you use for to the protect. Bitcoin can use some store to pay the bills. If I have a choice, I will both them to hodl.
