I just want to give a little food for thought. My post is not to suggest any ideology. Im just pointing out, that OP point of view is based only on ideology and not a possible solutions.
Just imagine. If ALL OF US would be rich, that means we would live our lives out from dividends, or any passive income of at least $1k a month. Then it would be jawesome, right ? Well, but then I do have a question.
WHO on this Earth would bake the bread for ALL OF US ?
The food part is tricky. There are a lot of people that enjoy making their own meals. Like me. For the rest of the people if they are more wealthy why not eat something better that requires less work to do. Why bread? Slow food and the least processed food is the future. Bread would be eaten by weirdos in the future.
Robots, you might say?
OK, nice idea.
But then, WHO on Earth would maintenance these robots ?
Another robots ?
I don't think so.
Superiourly design economy is an economy with least amount of work needed. Maybe there would be a need for a little of work. But if this work would be only little with the ammount of people having a lot time, I suppose some work would be like a hobby to some people.
Cool, but what about overweight then.
Doctor? But hey wait, NO ONE on this Earth work, so we have no doctors.
OK, we have Doctor Robots.
I will answer with quoting Hipocrates. "The greatest medicine of all is teaching people how not to need it". If a society would be highly educated sickness would be rare, so in case of some patient that would need a medicine its uses would be so rare that it could be settled by a hobbyist.
Who would teach our kids? Robots!
No not robots. People would have all of the education videos, that the teacher should be obsolete. It already is. We just keep teachers to dumb the childrens down and to punish them in the boxes called shools.
I do not want to touch any country, or race, or group of people, but imagine, if you put infinite amount of resources to any kind of animal (including humans), they would reproduce themselves to infinite.
Well.... Some bacterias have almost infinite living tissue to inhabit. Why doesnt it grow to infinity, or at least to inhabit all tissues in the world? Are you reffering to Malthus and the social darwinism theory? He was proven time and time again to be absolutely wrong.
Because they simply can. Because parents do not need to parent their kids anymore, because we have robots!
Are you suggesting that given the right enviroment having a kids is not a pure joy?
So we would need a limit of reproducing, no right to reproduce as much as you can handle (infinite resources), because we would simple have like 50-100billion people on this planet, and there would be no robots who could grow so much grains to bake bread. (perhaps hyper dense pills could be the away).
Are you reffering to Malthus again? He was proven absolutely wrong.
So, back to the original question, why do people believe, they all can be rich ?
We are all relativly richer than in the middle ages. We are all rich. Your statement is answered.
It was, is, and will be, ALWAYS about that who is going to earn more, not enough, but more than the others.
Why?
There will always be inequality if the economy based on rent and the debt will prevail. There is no run away from it.
If there is only one mansion on the Bahamas, which is large enough, sunny enough, sexy enough, there is no freaking way, ALL OF US could buy it. Just one. 1. One. And if only 10 buyers come with their million, to who would seller sell this mansion to? First ? But second also have million and ALL OF US want to be rich (own that one mansion). So second would have to offer 2 million, right?
Wrong.
No one would want to sell such mansion in the first place, as he is already rich. We all are.
Question is this. If having an excess wealth would be in a good taste to have in the future. If it would be socialy awkward , people would not desire to have things they do not need, not to be pointed fingers at.
