Fair rewards to devs is wishful
Otherwise they could just leave the project and it's sustainable in Long term
In comparison with DASH's total supply . how XLR is? It's More or less?

Solaris & txbit.io weekly update — Saturday 18th of August

Greetings Solaris Community,

Happy Sunday! Time for another weekly update, full of txbit and mobile wallet goodness.

txbit

No surprise, txbit is the top priority and we could not be happier with how much progress has been made over the last couple of months.

Completed this week:

•Reduced the complexity of the trading engine making it about 50% faster to execute orders.
•Merged live update messages into arrays so it only needs one call.
•Make order fulfilment fully transactional which allows rollback when transactions don’t meet business rules.
•Added effects like fadein/out to lists in gui.
•Merged the order endpoints. Initially the endpoints and execution paths for buy and sell orders were separate. Now it’s all contained in a single endpoint and path.
•Manually went through all SQL statements for orders and optimized tables with indexes. All statements fully run over indexes.
•New design mock-ups for Wallets, Deposits and Withdrawals pages.
•Development on Landing page and Coin Voting for listing is progressing well, plan to launch in next 2 to 3 weeks.

Next Week:

•Refine the Withdrawal and Deposit balance views to use the live update pattern, same as live statistics, removing the need to refresh the page to see balance changes.Implement new Wallet, Deposits and Withdrawals designs.
•Test Coin Voting page and QA the landign page before go-live.
•Continue improving various UI and UX elements of the exchange and hardening various aspects of the infrastructure and security.

Solaris

Last Week:

•iOS Solaris wallet development complete. All functionality working as expected.
•Patched some minor bugs on the Android Solaris wallet.
•Working on Whitepaper v0.2.

Next Week:

•Continue working on the Solaris whitepaper v0.2.
•Publish the Android wallet update to Google Play Store.
•Apple app store registration and verification. This is a painful process that we hope won’t drag out, but the iOS wallet is in the hands of Apple and their code review.

Thank you for supporting Solaris !

Its good to see that progress is being made with txbit exchange. This is the main draw card for Solaris and I know we all can't wait for it to be launched. In the meantime just continue to earn them masternode rewards and stakes ready for the big day. Keep up the good work dev team!
Yeap, dozen of things done last week and three important tasks for the current week.
Solaris team likely have worked intensively behind the scenes and tried bringing the txbit.io exchange to the light as soon as possible, and - of course - as perfect as possible.
Anyway, thanks for all of their amazing works to keep the developemental progress of txbit.io moving forwards very fast.

support question... had some funky stuff going on of late. Lots of orphans... like 10 in a row... tried to spin up a MN (have had one before) because the staking not going so well... and my block height is 361083 consistently when using the getinfo command in VPS
I'm considering doing a re-sync... Ive opened closed the wallet a bit of late to hopefully correct the staking issues... doesnt seem to be doing the job

Follow the guidelines here to re-sync your wallet: http://solaris.helpsite.io/articles/24853-launching-issues

Andy I'm having some problems with getting my MN going
I got an error saying "corrupted block database detected" in VPS
I ended up doing a full reindex of my wallet
But then in VPS I can't get the correct block height reported
I try to do a reindex in VPS but it never makes it to the end (current block)

What time takes the daemon relaunch if it was already fully synced 1 minute ago?
Mine take about 20 minutes to first "getinfo" correct response
What about you dudes?

Keep staking, keep your masternodes operating, turning off computers, forgetting about your Solaris coins are smart options for now.
Coming back months later, then Solaris will make you happy.

The price chart of Solaris shows that there is almost no volume (not significant volume, more exactly) since June this year.
Very limited Solaris traded in the last two months, very low liquidity in general.

That's bad. People leave XLR and go trading on other coins.
I told you few months ago that switch to PoS killed XLR. Then most of you was screaming here.
But soon we will back when it all started, at 4000sat

you can buy solaris XLR also on www.ooobtc.com
Kucoin has bigger daily volume, much bigger than ooobtc.
Personally, I would like to trade XLR in Kucoin.

Noob question. Must my computer remain switched on if I am staking? Thanks.

Yes, or at least some kind of device on 24/7

Solaris has everything in place ready for when the next bull run come along. Right now I'm not one bit worried about the price and actually it could be a great time to load up on some more Solaris as this could very well be the bottom. Solaris has a lot more going for it then a lot of projects in the top 100 so this is why I'm holding my coins as I believe that Solaris will one day be a top 100 project.

Exact brother, that's what I always say when you trust the work of the team and the roadmap it is carrying out; useless to look at the price today because everything is collapsing.
But when all this is over, Bitcoin and the market will have found its long support, then a new phase will begin and only the best projects will be rewarded by investors, at least initially (and until the next race and general madness).

Solaris has all the potential and the community to re-emerge from this collective fund; I personally remember the road to Dash, 2-3 years ago, before its discovery and adoption to the general public, resulting in a price explosion.
